just wondering if this has been done before...

I have 2 Dcs (2 & 5) and am bringing them up by myself (H allowed to have phone contact only due to his fuck wittery {I love that phrase Blush Grin})

Sometimes its soooo hard doing it by myself Sad

DS had parents evening today and although his comments from teachers were fab most all of the other parents were couples.

Sometimes it hits me that I have to do everything myself Sad

Hmm well i don't know your DS,so tricky to say.

I know when my DS2 was let down,i tried to lighten the situation, and create a bit of distance/lower expectations as damage limitation!

I did a bit of - sometimes dad is a bit busy, but he'll ring when he can.He still loves you.If DS said things about dad ringing etc i used to say he might, and reinforcing what DS has got, as you said..

Bloody horrible situation for you and DC, it almost sounds like it would be better if he didn't bother at all, then weekly let downs.. he's being so selfish and cruel!

simpson · 19/02/2011 11:09

Luckily I have never told DC that H is supposd to ring every friday so they don't hav the "why didn't daddy call" etc but they must notice that th have not spoken to him for a while iyswim...

Feeling slightly better today Smile

I promised DS I would take him out o his scooter yesterday and was not well enough and sods law its raining today

My idea of fun is not going round the park in rain with DS on his scooter and knowing my luck DD will poo/wee in the buggy in pouring rain Hmm

Jellykat · 19/02/2011 15:51

Glad you're feeling better simps Smile

Aah, well if the DC haven't twigged the 'no school tomorrow, dad must be phoning tonight' situation,it's good..Best to let sleeping dogs lie..

We have glorious sunshine here, but now i can see the windows are manky again..only cleaned them 2 weeks ago,i have a theory that the rain that falls here is really dirty.

God i sound anal! i just like to be able to see when i daydream out of my windows! Grin

simpson · 19/02/2011 15:57

Managed to get out to tescos (and take DS out on his scooter finally) as we were waiting for DD to do a wee Hmm

I have just come back and there is a missed call from Ireland Hmm

Not checked my mobile phone yet, is it too much to ask for him to call at 5pm every friday???

Obviously it is for him Angry

OP posts:
Jellykat · 19/02/2011 20:37

Not too much to ask at all simpson...Confused

IIIIiiii'mmmmmm bbbbboooooorreeed! Sad

simpson · 19/02/2011 20:40

well H rang today and said he "forgot"

Hmm Angry

DD did a wee on the potty before bed Grin

Got a nice pleasing roast dinner at my mum's tomorrow and hopefully will finalise the dates for Italy although don't think it will be Easter holidays now as I won't have passports done (you need passport nos to book flights) so now think it may be half term Smile

Weather will be warmer then anyway Grin

Grin

splishsplosh · 19/02/2011 22:39

Hello - I'm another one hanging about on a saturday night

simpson we go to a messy church thing too, except ours is after school once a month - kids love it & I don't have to cook tea, what's not to like Smile

had a couple of dates with a guy, just casual, he was all keen, then suddenly for no obvious reason has gone all quiet... maybe should give up on these attempts to have some grown up time!

got a letter from ex's solicitor saying he wants to see children every Saturday - it says i have a criminal injunction against him so he can't contact me directly (hence solicitor's letter) but wants me to meet him each week to hand over children Hmm - not sure what the criminal injunction is, either. Might be bail conditions after he was harsssing me, or possibly restraining order that police were going to request - but I have no idea! How can it be seen as OK for me to meet him, but not have direct contact????

simpson · 19/02/2011 23:01

Hi splish Smile

Sounds most odd that he can't contact you on phone but can meet you for hand over Confused

Is there anyway you can have someone with you to do it??

Am giving the dating lark a big veto atm Blush

Maybe in 6mths or so...although don't get out much so not likely to meet anyone Sad

Jellykat · 19/02/2011 23:02

Hello splishsplosh Smile
Exactly the same thing happened to a friend of mine,it's illogical!!

Do you have a solicitor?

You obviously need a third party for handovers',you can't do it personally!

Jellykat · 19/02/2011 23:03

Oo x posted Smile

Excellentio Smile

You can sit in pavement cafes, drinking Cappucino, watching the beautiful well dressed Italian men..They tend to be a little Vertically challenged, but if you're sitting down it won't matter Wink

Scorps · 20/02/2011 18:26

Male friend, C, is just absolutey A friend. :)

Friday: C texts me saying chinese and dvd? I said no, let's have a quiet drink....we got in at two Grin both shitfaced! He ended up sleeping over, but nothing happened, i don't like him that way and he knows that.

Had an hours sleep, then my friend text me and said shall we go club tonight?? So i met C at 9, cocktails etc...friends pub by 12.30, club at 1am - and guess who i saw... Grin Grin Very hot man, D, remember? I met him out 3 weeks ago. We clocked each other and that was that...he left mine at 11.30am this morning Grin. So very very hot indeed. His twin well propostioned me Shock but i said no i like your brother (dirty perve). D is very hot indeed. Knows i have kids etc, is very shy though, i had to make alot of the first moves like asking to dance etc, but i was with a friend who D knows v well and he just bothered with me all night Grin. When he left this morning said will speak soon, can't see me next week he's away etc....we'll see. I'm afraid i actually like him - scary.
