slng · 12/08/2009 16:24

We have one of those cloth sports bag thing for the bag. They stuff everything in there and things only get washed once every half-term. It's a bit disgusting, really ...

sfxmum · 12/08/2009 16:58

pcW what makes a person uber trendy? am lost on that one these days

OP posts:
slng · 12/08/2009 17:19

urber trendy person = person who does not stupidly burn his/her finger on hot caramel.

sfxmum · 12/08/2009 18:24

vbus - we use same labels as sfx. Tip: John Lewis shirts have labels you can just write names on!

Burnt finger recovered sufficiently for typing on MN.

sfxmum · 13/08/2009 15:36

mygreatauntgriselda · 13/08/2009 17:30

Slng glad your paw has recovered from its burn - sounds painful

SFX has DD calmed down now - too much excitement?

We're off to Ireland for 2 weeks on Saturday yipee am beside myslef as I love Ireland and haven't been for 12 years. Am meeting mumsnetter Super Sillyus over there so that will be fun as we have been chatting for 3 years and never met in the flesh

Whoo Hoo!!!!

Coincidentally Steppy et famille are over there at the same time as us but we are catching an earlier ferry

Shall we arrange a meet up for late September? (See I am missing you all already )

mygreatauntgriselda · 13/08/2009 17:31

vbus thanks for agreeing to look after the furry brothers. I have told them that they are going on holiday tomorrow

vbus · 13/08/2009 19:33

Auntie - I'm v. excited about meeting our new furry guests, although a now also starting to feel daunted by the responsibilty, I hope they enjoy their hols half as much as you enjoy yours

Sfx - hope Dd enjoyed having daddy around

Slng - how's the injury? How was the caramel?

What a brill afternoon, lovely to see you PCW and your v.cute kids Such fab weather too

Anyway must quickly tidy house, friend coming round soon

pcworld · 13/08/2009 20:29

I love, love, love the 1 o'clock club! The dcs had such a brill time - we'll be going again next Weds and/or Thurs in case anyone is free. SJ, our parking was good in the end as we had a glorious walk across the field en route back plus lots of roly polys for dd. I think I'll bring a picnic tea next time. Was good to see you and your v nice friend albeit briefly can't leave ds for a moment, at one point he had gone head-first into a toy bin lol!

dh is off tomorrow, I think we might take it in turns to have some time off, perhaps even a little light shopping. Alone

SJ, good luck with the furry ones, remember to feed them lol! Your dcs will love 'em, it's a slippery slope!

slng · 13/08/2009 20:59

Hello!

Creme caramel very nice. (Un)fortunately kids don't like them, so now we have two more portions to eat! It's a tough life ...

Happy holiday greataunt!

sfxmum · 13/08/2009 21:02

OP posts:
slng · 14/08/2009 11:53

Me tired too ... Want to sleep, but might throw a tantrum instead.

tillyfernackerpants · 14/08/2009 16:27

hi all, busy week hence not been on here much. Must try 1 o clock club sometime. Have been to the one at Redlees which was really good!

Just got back from toy library, ds1 now watching Horton Hears a Who, ds2 playing in the baby prison () & I should be cooking tea but thought I'd pop on here quickly.

Auntie, hope you have a nice holiday, sounds lovely!

tillyfernackerpants · 14/08/2009 17:38

sfx, have you seen this?

sfxmum · 14/08/2009 17:43

well if anyone can but is JJ Abrams going to let him? just as long as they keep the cast particularly the divinely bonkers Baltar

ok have two full bin liners of stuff to throw away and it still needs more sorting
breaking to cook dinner but what?
maybe sweet potato butternut squash curry thing?

OP posts:
vbus · 14/08/2009 17:48

They're here!

The super furry animals are a big hit with DS1, he loves them. He has big plans for them too - wans them to ride on is scooter, take them to M&S and then they can watch Beebies with him. Oh and he wants to feed them pineapple and cherries

PCW - DS1 was telling DH all about 1 o'clock club, said it's his fave place and that he liked the paddling pool (understatement of the year as I'm sure he would've gladly spent the night in it!)

Sfx - I liked Gone baby gone, I have Changling tonight as Dh is out, plus take away so no cooking for me tonight

slng · 14/08/2009 20:12

vbus - we've got a furry guest as well. DS2 has to look after nursery teddy bear this weekend. After initially refusing to take it home it is now lying at the end of his bed in its sleeping bag after having had its fur brushed, teeth brushed and its teddy tucked in. I'm just waiting for him to wake up in the night and panic when he touches what feels like a furry monster in his bed ...

Now must go and do a pile of washing-up...

tillyfernackerpants · 15/08/2009 06:32

morning all! Have had an early start with ds2, fortunately ds1 is still asleep so I can at least watch what I want on tv!

slng, does teddy bear also have a book that you have to write in everything he did over the weekend?

slng · 15/08/2009 09:46

Good morning!

Tilly - there is a book. DS2 has broken teddy's sunglasses. Just as well it's not sunny. Where does one buy kiddie sunglasses?

sfxmum · 15/08/2009 10:23

good morning

amused at school furry friends dd will have a giraffe we have been warned

early starts here, ouch I had a lie in but seem to have spent the night semi awake

hope everyone has a nice weekend
