Steppie - I'm sick of school already. How many more years of this? Does it get better? Or worse?? I can't stand all this Christmas nonsense - our Christmas concert has been postponed twice already. I say bloody cancel it and be done with it. Triple bah humbug with knobs on.

Kids in bed. Who cares if they are singing to themselves. I'm off to the kitchen for a glug too.

slng · 11/12/2008 19:24

MrsR - poor ds. DS1 had a few weeks of wheezing in the middle of the night almost every night. It's quite worrying.

MaSTARRecycle · 11/12/2008 20:19

thanks slng - he is off to gps tomorrow and I'd much rather he was here with me. I think your Christmas name should be slngscrooge! It gets worse wait until the sports days picnics...

sparklyxmasfairy · 12/12/2008 10:15

good morning all, got up early to spend money on dd still recovering

slng & mrsR hope your LO's are improving I hate it when dd is poorly just so hard to watch

auntie how are you today? if it was me it would be a panic attack but I guess you don't get those, might be worth checking as occasionally people get abnormal heart rhythms not necessarily something to worry about just feels really freaky

steppie a week of book keeping and accounting I wish you strength

am hoping for a quiet day, we did not sleep properly last night, LO's coughs take ages to clear don't they?

stepfordwife · 12/12/2008 10:28

hi all
losig thr will to live..
my pollyanna-esque optimsm being sorely tested at the moment..
won't bore you with details, but two words; worktop rage.

yes indeed, sparkly, every time someone mentions accounts, i actually feel sick. numbers-phobic, moi?

auntie, that sounds frightening. does sound like a panic attack. what do you reckon it was?

sing,, i'm very jaundiced about school stuff at the moment as bloody class rep (DON'T be one) which people seem to think means you do everything...love the school, but it ain't my vocation.
next year i will have three kids there
have a good day, all
toodlepip

stepfordwife · 12/12/2008 10:28

losing the, even

stepfordwife · 12/12/2008 10:29

...too early for glug-glug hour?

slng · 12/12/2008 10:32

Steppie - definitely too early. Not too early for mince pies though.

stepfordwife · 12/12/2008 10:33

damn, sing, you're right..
not even a teeny-weeny sherry to wash the mince pies down?

sparklyxmasfairy · 12/12/2008 12:20

thought sherry was medicinal...

dearly want to drag dd out of the house but she is far too entertained with her stuff and is faking illness as an excuse

sparklyxmasfairy · 12/12/2008 19:55

so is everyone on the sherry out carolling?

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 12/12/2008 22:57

LOL at you lot on the sherry at 10am!!

Am on Cava here

MrsR - sounds identical to what I had

SFX thanks for asking - I think it may be that virus plus several aggravating factors (hangover, lack of fluids, over doing it etc)

Fel absolutely fine today

rosmerta · 13/12/2008 11:57

hi all,

MrsR, hope ds is feeling better now

Griselda, are you feeling better as well? Lol at your fat toddler!

We're still settling down here, managed a whole 4hrs sleep last night! Ds2 is bf but it is a bit of a struggle so I'll probably head off to a bf drop in on Monday.

Sfx, didn't get the homebirth in the end. THere wasn't anyone on duty & if we'd waited then dh would've delivered him! I got to use the birthing centre for a few hours but then had to transfer to the labour ward as they couldn't get a read on the baby's heartbeat. They ended up breaking my waters at 3am & then ds2 was born at 3.30am. It was about 10mins before anyone (including dh) even thought to tell me whether we had a boy or girl!

Anyway, I'll try & put some photos up later. Btw, ds2's name is Sean James!

sparklyxmasfairy · 13/12/2008 12:28

Ros the important thing is that ds2 arrived safely, how lovely to have a newborn
as for BF I had a rough time to start with, quite painful it made me cry and it took about 4-6 weeks to be really established and comfortable, in fact quite a few of us here had difficulties to start with.
best of luck

hi all, here it is sniff sniff land sent dh out for some peace and quiet, on both sides really, so just curled up with dd on the sofa

slng · 13/12/2008 18:17

Bit bored. What to do?

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 13/12/2008 22:53

quiet on here...

SJ99 · 14/12/2008 16:00

Hello all

Ros - Welcome to the zombie club Echo what Sfx says, BF didn't feel so intuitive to me at first but then after some time it 'clicks' and suddenly feels second nature. Hope you get some good advice at the drop in place.

DS2 seems to be unsettled the past few days and is not sleeping more than 20mins after each feed/nappy change during the day. Can only assume he's a hungry horse or a sleep fighter like his bro. Defo take away tonight, no time to cook.

Went for pub lunch at Twickers yesterday with some friends which was good fun. Anyone been to Kew this wkend? Is the Xmas stuff any good? Hope everyone enjoying their weekend

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 14/12/2008 19:21

Ros - lovely name for your new son!!

My friend is an NCT BF counsellor - she helped me with all mine - let me know if your want her details and wll text you

xxx big hugs to you all

mygreatauntgriselda4christmas · 14/12/2008 19:28

sparklyxmasfairy · 14/12/2008 19:53
