Paddle I "owe" you a swim for your birthday - want to cash it in tomorrow afternoon?

itsmyparty · 01/08/2008 20:52
Sad
itsmyparty · 01/08/2008 20:53

...and I'll cry if I want to

stepfordwife · 01/08/2008 21:16

evening all
busy day
the brood and neice/nephew are eating me out of house and home
must all be having "spurts" as ds2 calls them...growth spurts sounds so much more respectable, eh?

paddle, sure dd will be OK and i'm glad H made it. sometimes just actually making a decision re jabs is half the battle, eh?
hope you're indulging in some glug-glug..

will probably be around tomorrow arvo with dd as dh taking boys to air show in canary wharf.

have been supermum/superauntie today - all those things i hate...arts & crafts, painting, board games ..but, must admit, do love a game of frustration...
plus played basket ball in the park...well, the boys played basket ball and i faffed about in a hopeless fashion

oh, kew, we went to wetlands yesterday and saw a yurt - so thought of your ds....shame i initially thought it was a giant bird cage model enthusing about it to the brood..

ComeOVeneer · 01/08/2008 21:18

Hi all. The day was fairly sucessful, a few squabbles, but nothing major but I am knackered. WIll catch up on everyones news tomorrow.

Kew surely I have mentioned one or two of ds's escape adventures? Especially the half clothed, winter dark evening return by the neighbour from across the road who just happens to be a police officer .

Despite being exhausted I did another 45 minute bike ride this evening after the children where in ed as soon as dh got home - really needed that time to myself after the hoards of children!

Right off for a soak in the bath then an early night. Catch up when I get the chance.

stepfordwife · 01/08/2008 21:19

...just a little glug-glug, i meant, of course, paddle as know you're worried about dd...trust she's tucked up in bed snoring away

sfxmum · 01/08/2008 21:29

paddle sure she will be fine, glad H made it

well done on surviving assorted trials yurt! LOL
SJ hope move goes well

will now go avoid wine read book and watch telly when I can no longer focus

still planning on cinema tomorrow but dh asking for dd free hrs on Sunday to do some work guess we will walk about Kew for a change

rosmerta · 01/08/2008 21:41

Glad the drs went ok paddle, & that h made it. Sure dd will be fine, think it affects us more than them sometimes!

Steppie & Cov, glad your days weren't too bad with the broods + extras!

I really should go to sleep, have to be up early tomorrow for a class observation, which will be the whole day.Think dh is looking forward to a day with ds on his own though!

sfxmum · 01/08/2008 21:47

SJ can see what you mean about Reading line up personally would go for Friday despite really liking a lot of Saturdays but can't abide the Ting Ting name name name poo poo song

am so grown up about it

Paddlechick666 · 01/08/2008 22:27

kew, partygirl, will be in touch in the morning if that's okay? see how dd goes tonight.

so far, so good except literally just now ASBO boy has kicked off and the floor is shaking with the volume of his music.

h was supposed to be here tonight for some moral support but he's working. they were supposed to go live tonight and worked till 2am this morning testing.

i hate this place now, i am just so fed up with them downstairs. wish i didn't have to be the only responsible parent the whole time.

at least if H had have been here he could've gone down there and had a go at them.

itsmyparty · 01/08/2008 22:28

(((hugs paddle)))

sfxmum · 02/08/2008 10:10

good morning all

paddle that is awful hope the night improved and dd is fine

Paddlechick666 · 02/08/2008 10:30

morning all,

a good night for dd, not so good for me altho things did calm down about midnight.

the frustrating thing aobut all this is that it's not 24x7 and not necessarily during "off" hours as it were. it's most evenings around 7ish for a couple of hours and then once or twice a week it's something later or thru the night.

it just doesn't seem sufficient or consistent enough to make a complaint that will get anything more than a letter from the housing partnership. certainly not enough to get rid of them and would only have an adverse affect on my sale.

it's enough to piss me off tho!

dd woke up (okay i confess me moving around at 7:15am woke her but i was getting twitchy!) after a good sleep. freaked me out by making weird noises instead of the usual "I'M AWAKE!!!!!!!" and then refused to say anything whilst smiling angelically at me for 10 mins!! Bloody weird child!

Waiting for 2pm house viewing confirmation and attempting to make flat look gorgeous. Am cooking dinner in the slow cooker so it smells lovely in here too LOL.

Planning to convert dd's cot into a bed this morning. Hope she doesn't decide to start wandering around in the middle of the night!

Kew, swimming would be great but what time did you want to go? I am actually feeling drained and exhausted but I know dd would love to go.

If you wanted to go later then we could come visit you partygirl first?

Not feeling very "connected" today!

Paddlechick666 · 02/08/2008 13:43

sorry kew and partygirl, i am going to cancel on both counts.

i feel dreadful, really grotty so won't inflict myself on you.

agent hasn't confirmed the viewing but will go to tesco and pick up some bits n bobs just to be out of the way.

might take dd to playground on way home if i can summon up the energy.

cot is now a bed and dd is very taken with it. finger's x'd all goes well tonight. she has a bedgauard that runs the entire length and hasn't figured out how easy it will be to climb over yet

itsmyparty · 02/08/2008 16:36

Hope you feel better soon Paddle

We've had a day of slobbing here

sfxmum · 02/08/2008 18:14

paddle hope you are feeling better, did you have a viewing?

we took dd to the cinema but she only lasted 10min of the film, this after 30 of adverts, next time we know.
dh took her out and I stayed, can highly recommend Wall-E

dh cooking and I am looking at papers and mag, went running this morning too, so hard to get going again so great once I am out there

hope everyone is well

slng · 02/08/2008 18:38

sfx - made courgette muffins today. Nice and easy, but perhaps require stronger cheddar than Lidl's mature cheddar ...

Going to the supermarket now, without kids!

Paddlechick666 · 02/08/2008 19:13

evening all

thanks for wishes, still feeling very grotty. running a low fever according to dd's temp thingy lol.

don't know if agent came or not tbh. went to kwik fit as car now sounds like an F1 thing. new exhaust on order so big whack in the wallet for that then........

ran into ASBO boy and his brother on teh stairs. had another one of my slightly hysterical rants about the noise levels, times and frequency. the brother said he'd talk to him and the boy said something about being at work later. i childishly said "that'll be a shock"

have been a bitch on wheels all day. yelling at dd for the slightest thing. even bought a load of new glue and stuff in the hope she'd entertain herself while i wallow in self pity but she just spread it all around the house and put glue everywhere.

god, i just wish someone would bloody well shoot me. i am a miserable complaining whining old hag.

poor dd........

slng · 02/08/2008 19:28

Poor paddle! Much sympathy from here. Hope you feel better soon.

sfxmum · 02/08/2008 19:33

dd will survive give or take the odd sticky bit hope you start feeling better it is rotten

when I met up with dh&dd she was having a strop lying on the floor of the veg section at Waitrose, he was a bit stressed

sfxmum · 02/08/2008 19:37

slng muffins look good dh thinks muffins which are not sweet are a bit of a let down

slng · 02/08/2008 20:13

I think DSs agree with your dh ...

If you are going to have a lie-down protest in a supermarket then Waitrose is probably the most comfortable one in which to do so!

Paddlechick666 · 02/08/2008 20:28

she looks so cute in her big girls bed! hope i feel better enough to give her a nice day tomorrow at least.

intend to self medicate with white wine and Ben N Jerrys ice-cream. altho, oddly, don't really feel like it

sfx, sorry to hear the cinema outing didn't go quite according to plan but good result for you

itsmyparty · 02/08/2008 20:30

Paddle - well I've been sitting on my arse all day but have much sympathy for you

You sound as though you really need a break from your bloomin' ASBO Boy and his family

Ita a nightmare living next to nuisance neighbours - you are always on tenderhooks, awaiting he next noise nuisance episode

Big hugs and sympathy

sfxmum · 02/08/2008 20:56

does anyone want to meet up at kew tomorrow? dh needs to work from home so plan on distracting dd somehow

btw choc ices are really yum
