OP posts:
SJ99 · 30/06/2008 19:00

Slng - did you make it out of the house today?

MrsR - glad you had a good weekend, I guess DS means war?!

Sfx - do you know when you'll move DD to her new bed? did you survive IL's visit?

Offer accepted on rental so at least we won't be homeless (thanks for offer of spare room though KC ) It gets us into the catchment area that we want which was the whole reason behind moving so that's now accomplished. Feels a bit 3steps backwards one step forward though

sfxmum · 30/06/2008 19:39

SJ is the new place still near?
in laws visit was short and sweet thanks MIL mostly talked about the wedding and what we were wearing/ doing to hair
so interesting

slng · 30/06/2008 19:42

SJ - made it to cuckoo park round the corner for picnic. May actually try again to go to Kew tomorrow!

SJ99 · 30/06/2008 19:59

New place is lovely, by the river inbetween Teddington and Hampton Wick. About 15mins walk from the house we were going to buy. Can still get to Twicks, Richmond, Kew and Kingston by bus so that's handy - won't be too isolated Hope we can get all paperwork sorted this week, then no more house stress for next 12mths

Probably go to usual playgroup tom as DS loves it there and then go by river in the afternoon. It's meant to be a scorcher, don't forget your hats & sunscreen!

Paddlechick666 · 30/06/2008 20:03

evening all, I made it home very filthy and very exhausted.

H arrived Friday arvo having told me he would only get out of hospital on Saturday so it was a wonderful surprise.

Have had an absolutely fantastic time. Saw lots of bands that I wanted to but didn't expect to see as wasn't sure how dd would handle it all.

She is a total rock chick and enjoyed every single second. Stayed up till 11:30pm most nights and was hopping round like a demented bunny rabbit when the Verve came on last night.

Neil Diamond was fabulous, Amy Winehouse hilarious, Leonard Cohen was amazing and only slightly spoiled by H and our mate being disparaging whilst me and our mate's g/f enjoyed his performance.

We have lots of plans for next year now and can't wait for Latitude.

Seasick Steve was brilliant!

So, am absolutely too knackered to read thru a week's worth of WL Chat. Please can someone do me an update/precis?

Ta

ps: would've texted more frequently but battery on phone precarious after I flattened van battery running the fridge!

rosmerta · 30/06/2008 20:45

Is anyone watching the Murray match? Thought I'd pop in whilst watching!

Paddle, glad you & dd had a good time!

Sfx, glad you survived the ILs visit!

Sj, I think you've made the right decision, the way the vendor was messing around god knows when you would've ended up moving in!

Does anyone fancy the paddling pool & sandpit at Duke's Meadows this week? If the weather holds that is...

sfxmum · 30/06/2008 21:03

SJ99 · 01/07/2008 09:13

LOL at update

LOL at leaving on wristband Paddle
Yes house thing was getting unecessarily drawn out and we were running out of time, leaving us realistically with not much time to do house repairs and rennovations before next baby. It was starting to became a nightmare so we pulled out

So have you found a new agent?

Well best get washing on and head out into the sunshine

Hope everyone has a good day

Kewcumber · 01/07/2008 09:27

There's a music and picnic evening (starts at 5.30pm) on Sat July 5th in Pensford fields (kew) has anyone been? Anyone fancy it? £6 per adult on the night and children free.

sfxmum · 01/07/2008 09:32

not in town on that date KC but sounds good, we have tickets for Kew Swing on the 12th really hoping for good weather

SushiMummy · 01/07/2008 13:04

Hi all. Hope everyone is well.

One of our cats, the very ill one has passed away yesterday. I am crying all the time, even on the train, I really can't stop thinking about him. DH is crying a lot as he blames himself not to have taken the cat to the vet sooner. (I don't think that'd have made any difference.) He was such a beautiful, a very special cat. Yesterday was the day that my dearest father died 18 years ago, too.

and million times more...

stepfordwife · 01/07/2008 13:26

so sorry about your cat, sushi
can appreciate how it made it even more poignant and upsetting being your dad's anniversary, too.
my dad's been dead for nearly 10 years, but it just seems like yesterday sometimes, doesn't it?
and poor dh too.

stepfordwife · 01/07/2008 13:28

welcome back, PC
glad you had a fab time.

rosmerta · 01/07/2008 13:42

sushi, so sorry about your cat .
