rosmerta · 26/06/2008 14:10

thanks for booking slng.

Ds enjoyed swimming lots. Mean mummy opened the car window on the way home so he wouldn't fall asleep!

Am very impressed with all the home-made stuff going on, I can just about manage burgers!

stepfordwife · 26/06/2008 14:46

Kewcumber · 26/06/2008 14:51

crisis here

SJ99 · 26/06/2008 15:53

Hello all

KC - that has happened to me before, absolutely gutting. Hope they manage to recover some of it so you don't have to re-do from scratch

Happy Anniversary Sushi!

Ros - swim was fun but it was drama on way home. Got bus after lunch, driv had to do a massive emergency stop as a car pulled out in front of him I fell into pushchair (now have bruised knees), pushchair toppled sideways but lucky DS wasn't hurt - those things are so sturdy and straps kept him in. 2 other ladies fell over one was quite elderly and v.shook up, she got off shortly after, hope she was ok.

Yes, I own up to making cheese, yogurt, ice-cream and bread, but don't worry Steppie I don't do things things on a regular basis It's an indian cheese, paneer & yum yum yum

Have fun those of you going out tonight

sfxmum · 26/06/2008 16:04

SJ that is awful I hope you are all ok

once a car did something similar to the bus I was in but the mad driver gave chase along the Boston Manor Road it was like a movie
-a cheap made in England with your mates one but hey

SJ99 · 26/06/2008 16:06

Thanks Sfx, just bruised knees so I'm sure I'll recover. Just unexpected I suppose and could've been a lot worse.

How do you feel after your run today?

sfxmum · 26/06/2008 16:09

I think I might have shouted some but running helps me and I do hope I can manage to do it almost everyday can't quite handle the alternative

fitfox · 26/06/2008 17:28

Hi Grrls - I am very sortry but I have to cancel for the meet tonight. DH is attending a special event (he only told me this morning). He needs me home at about 8pm

Sorrrrrry...

stepfordwife · 26/06/2008 17:46

arrrrrrraaaaaaggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
that's for kew, btw

happy anniversary, sushi. how many years?
no worries, SJ, i'm only jealous. dh makes a fab paneer curry.

sfxmum · 26/06/2008 17:58

tut tut mister foxie
but I am in similar position dh says he doesn't think he can get here on time.

so sorry after all that don't want to leave people hanging

sfxmum · 26/06/2008 18:04

and he is now working the entire weekend

SJ99 · 26/06/2008 18:10

I'm pretty sure DS ate some playdoh this afternoon, I turned round and his jaws were moving. I asked him if he ate any, he kept denying it and I couldn't see any in his mouth but I wouldn't put it past him. I told him not to eat any playdoh or he will get tummy ache and be sick, then he added 'and mummy will be cross'

SJ99 · 26/06/2008 18:11

Bad news Sfx

mellow2 · 26/06/2008 18:16

Hello,

I scanned the thread and found out that foxie and sfx are not coming.

Who is going now? Is it Mrs R/ros/slng?

sfxmum · 26/06/2008 18:17

my home made playdough is very very salty, dd tasted it once. he should be fine

I think dh is stressing about work a great deal he is also banking days/hrs for when we go away and for any as yet unforeseen needs

he was working until 1am, from home, yesterday trying to recover some disaster someone else caused

mellow2 · 26/06/2008 18:19

QC,
I hope they managed to retrieve some data from the autosaved version.

SJ,
Hope you're ok. I ran for the train when I was pregnant and suffered for weeks afterwards. One's body protects the baby and neglects oneself. Frustrating.

Sfx,
Bad luck about dh working all weekend.

slng · 26/06/2008 18:25

I'm still going, if anyone else is!

mellow2 · 26/06/2008 19:11

Ok, slng. I'll see you there at 8pm.

SJ99 · 26/06/2008 19:16

Thanks Mellow, am a little achey under the bump due to the lurch of the bus stopping. Luckily I didn't fall on the bump but I guess the jolt has some effect.

BTW am going to Cheeky Monkeys tom am if you or anyone wants to join me

ComeOVeneer · 26/06/2008 19:16

Have a lovely evening, those that are still going.
KEW sorry about work crisis.
SUSHI belated "happy anniversary"
PADDLE hope trip is going ok.

OK a July meet up - perhaps a little more over this way? Say Richmond? Name your days!

mellow2 · 26/06/2008 19:17

Oh yes. I've forgotten to ask if you were going. We'll see you there. Dd has been chanting mini-sj's name all week.

ComeOVeneer · 26/06/2008 19:18

Sorry meant to add a hug for SJ. Pushchairs seem to be pretty sturdy at protecting LOs. DS was in his when it was hit by a van whilst crossing a road in Chicago and didn't have a scratch on him.

mellow2 · 26/06/2008 19:20

COV,
at bus hitting pushchair. Sorry to hear about ds. Echo what others say about the resilience of children.

ComeOVeneer · 26/06/2008 21:07

DS is still toing and froing (??? sp)from bed, think it will e another disturbed night.

Meant to reply to MrsR. The house you mentioned - the wife of owner was murdered about 9 years ago and they are still looking for the body, new evidence has apparently arisen and they are scouring the house/gardens etc aparrently (have a friend who lives just around the corner)
