Am really &

I phoned DH up three times today to check what time he wanted me home (bearing in mind I had planned to get back later).

He eventually said "not until 8.45pm" as he was going to meet the musicians AFTER their gig.

When I got home (at 8.10pm) he starts ranting - accusing me of "going swimming, when he was waiting to go out!"

I went swimming at 4.30pm, then went back to work, then came home slightly earlier than he requested!

WTF???? He's stormed off leaving me feeling like complete crap and I have no idea what my "crime" is!

Stupid Git

sfxmum · 26/06/2008 21:30

foxie sorry , men can be pretty weird

DH actually managed to get here at 7.30 but by then I had settled and started having dinner with dd. he is now working from home bless him.
was looking forward to having some fish for dinner.

COV hope your night is better than expected

think will just get on and study

Kewcumber · 26/06/2008 22:35

good morning all

slng · 27/06/2008 12:04

Good morning (is it still?)

Those of us who made it last night had a good time. At least I did

MrsR - thanks for the lift last night. Don't forget about the cleaner!

Ros - don't forget about the cleaner too! I'm desperate!!!

sfxmum · 27/06/2008 12:27

I feel robbed just had a plumber in and feel sure we were grossly over charged god it is depressing
am not very good at dealing with this seems like a lawless land

sfxmum · 27/06/2008 12:28

glad you had a nice time slng and all that went

PortAndLemon · 27/06/2008 17:56

A Woman's Touch are supposed to be good.

mellow2 · 27/06/2008 18:05

sfx,
How much did the plumber cost? They are rather expensive.

sfxmum · 27/06/2008 18:14

thanks L&P will have a look
my point is more that there should be a tariff for a simple boiler service rather than hr rate plus VAT plus drag feet till it goes over

and really I booked it for Saturday so 2 of us could be here and one could be busy with toddler while the other kept an eye on the bloke, but they turned up today saying sorry I was told today

so sorry end of rant

PortAndLemon · 27/06/2008 19:54

Are there any daytime meets at the moment?

SJ99 · 27/06/2008 20:30

Hello all

Glad you had fun those who went out

Sfx - Sorry you're feeling ripped off, they say if you want to make money these days train up as a plumber

Foxie - skirt looks pretty, fab price

Nice to catch up with Mellow, KC & DC earlier. When I put DS to bed tonight he started talking about when he stroked the pigs with the purple brush - must've been because he saw gherkin today he remembered they did that together

We looked at more rental properties this afternoon, we're seriously going to consider renting again and binning the house purchase, it all seems to be going a bit pears on that front...nightmare decision

sfxmum · 27/06/2008 20:44

L&P day meet ups are happening all the time in loose fashion with whoever is available

SJ might not be a bad decision regarding renting seeing as the market is the way it is.

about plumber it is a sore point, usually I like to be quite on top of that stuff but he showed up unexpectedly and caught me off guard, they said £67 p/half hr plus VAT sounds like BS to me and this was one of the cheapest

btw paddle seems to be fine and damp at Glasto

bunyanvillas · 27/06/2008 21:09

What is an L&P meet-up?

SFX, how are you? Sorry, not been on here at all lately, too sleep deprived, have just speed-read thread.

SJ, wouldn't blame you for changing your mind on house front, interesting times eh? Hope it's all ok tho and not too stressful. With hindsight we would not have bought this place.

Foxie - love the skirt! I never seem to find these bargains.

Wish I was at Glasto with PC. I see Edith is fronting the tv stuff - she only gave birth a week or two ago and looks fabulous - how very dare she! Weighed myself tonight, still 1 stone overweight and have not got the energy or inclination to do anything about it at the moment.

ComeOVeneer · 27/06/2008 21:09

Haven't been able to participate in the daytime meet-ups for a while, but with the school/nursery holidays coming up I will be free again, so count me in.

ComeOVeneer · 27/06/2008 21:11

I think that should read P&L (as in portandlemon), meetups.....

slng · 27/06/2008 21:11

Hello all.

sfx - plumber rates outrageous, isn't it. We had to get two lots of plumbers in to install our hob and double oven because comet decided they didn't want to do it. Costs more than the bloody hob & oven ... Comet - now that's another rant ...

Does anyone go to Kew weekday afternoons? I'm thinking I should take the kids and have picnic for tea one of these days ...

sfxmum · 27/06/2008 21:30

slng I am at Kew very often in the afternoons mostly because it is so near we often drift there so give us a shout

bunyan fine thanks and btw 3yrs late am still 1st to loose
we must meet up

cov how is ds?

forgot inlaws in town for Wimbledon poop now they are visiting Sunday must hide crap

sfxmum · 27/06/2008 21:32

later and late I guess

Edith looks lovely think it is 20days bless

ComeOVeneer · 27/06/2008 21:34

DS is on the mend. Has a lot of clear discharghe from his nose (which doctor says is common after a heavy nose bleed ?!??!) However still has a seriously small apetite (today had half his brekfast, no lunch (1.5 hour sleep in the afternoon which is not usual) and a couple of mouthfuls of supper. Perhaps it is the weather.

sfxmum · 27/06/2008 21:48

cov hope ds recovers well and soon, it is always so worrying

slng did you ever go on that tree identification tour?

can you tell I am avoiding studying?

slng · 27/06/2008 22:46

sfx - going to try to book tree tour for July 12th.

Watching nonsense tv now (I mean newsnight) - must go to bed ...
