I so wanted to post on the other thread but it's full up - you lot don't half chat don't you

OP posts:
sfxmum · 29/05/2008 09:46

thanks mellow I was thinking of the other one mostly because my chin area which is permanently with breakouts, I know it is hormonal but have been trying to deal with, I treat it differently to the rest of my face.

and do you happen to have an orange/ burnt orange beaded bag?

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 09:48

note to self must find a rational reason to explain away my strange bag craving

mellow2 · 29/05/2008 09:54

sfx,
Sorry, I don't have an orange beaded bag. I knew you've been checking my shop to see if I have new bags. I won't have any new sari bags until after the summer, I'm afraid.

If you're only using it on your chin, then the mini kit will last you a while. Ok, are you around this pm or tomorrow? I could drop it off.

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 10:01

Paddle I do think you're a nutter, but am a bit confused about why you're balming the people downstairs when it clearly predates that

Paddlechick666 · 29/05/2008 10:04

thanks Kew

fair enough tho after my rambling and disjointed conversation with you yesterday!

managed to get purchase into house without dd seeing it which is a bonus!

DM took dd up the treetop thingy yesterday and said it was great. DD very proud to announce to the world that she did a poo up there LOL!

Talking of which, we are having a pretty good success rate with toilet activity whilst at home. She goes back into a nappy when she's out tho which I am a bit worried will confuse her but hey ho.

Anyone know where I can buy FiFi knickers? Steppie?

Oh and Foxie, sorry to hear you're feeling rotten. Would definately say Cava is medicinal.

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 10:06

Mellow I think tomorrow would be best I want to pop out this afternoon and plus have no cash at home. AFTER the summer? oh no I crave something beady in a bright colour that isn't blue

is QC starting a fight with paddle?

SushiMummy · 29/05/2008 10:25

Morning all.

Hope everyone is well.

Paddle - so very angry for you. Nothing can execuse their behaviour.

Mellow - I'm interested in your samples. I have dry (except T-zone) and mature skin (aka lines/wrinkles). Anything you recommend? BTW, have just started to use the make-up items I bought from you and they are really good. Thanks

foxie - hope you are feeling better.

slng - hope you have a nice time in Malaysia. BTW, we are going to the restaurant you recommended tonight.

QC - was lovely to see you, DS and your mum at the station. Your DS is soooo adorable!

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 10:30

Sushi - I recommend being fat and not going in the sun - both do wonders for wrinkles.

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 10:49

Tesco sent me 5 packs of organic Tofu which I did not order, not sending it back will just find extra uses for them I think, is it horribly dishonest?

mellow do you have foundation samples? I use Vitalumiere and just run out, although I seldom use it in summer, stick to tinted moisturiser

must get out of the house asap

mellow2 · 29/05/2008 10:57

Hi sfx,
I only have the Suki tinted moisturiser. It's really fab as you can use it neat for more coverage or you can mix with a Suki moisturiser for sheer coverage.

I'll bring you a sample of that too.

mellow2 · 29/05/2008 11:02

Welcome back sushi.

Would you like to test the anti-ageing products? Apparently, they're very popular in France. Not that I think you need anti-ageing products.

I've got two sets of anti-ageing samples. Would somebody else like one too?

SushiMummy · 29/05/2008 11:19

Mellow - yes, please!!!

QC - Your mum looks v young for her age so must be genetic, lucky you.

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 11:24

she doesn't look like a 69 yr old with arthritis and hopefully still in remission cancer does she .

I however now look 55 as a result of all her nagging so one of us is getting it right!

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 11:31

the sun thing is true my contemporaries back home have more wrinkles.

why am I still here? must walk away from MN being sucked into a thread

hi sushi - what wrinkles do you have?

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 11:33

she has a wrinkled bottom (got her DH drunk on the train one evening and he admitted it to me) no sign of any anywhere else.

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 11:37

must remember to keep booze away from dh when he is near you

SushiMummy · 29/05/2008 11:37

eyes are particulary bad and big lines on my forehead. Am more conscious about my baggy eyes, tho.

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 11:39

ah bad nes sushi - big lines on forehead are not wrinkles - they are because you are cross too much.

stepfordwife · 29/05/2008 11:45

makes mental note to herself to never to let kew get mr steppie drunk on the train...

paddle, as kew said, yes, you're radio rental, but not towards your neighbours. the gall of them
oh, fifi knickers - woollies or mothercare

welcome back, sushi did you have a good trip?

yes, my sun queen friends are definitely more wrinkly...especially the ones who smoke

talking of wrinklies, we took ds1 and ds2 to see indiana jones movie - harrison ford has never done it for me (seems a bit po-faced) but pretty good for a 65-year-old (well, in character as indy jones, anyway)

well, trying to summon the will to pack up the brood and tackle bus/tube/train to get to my ma's for a "sleepover" which dd has been packing for since 6am [Hmm]
got raging PMT, so it's gonna be fun
toodlepip

Paddlechick666 · 29/05/2008 12:47

just saw ASBO boy walking up the street and he's got a tag on. What does that mean then, is it like a radius thing or a time bound thing? Like he can only go a set distance and/or certain times of the day?

am still quietly fuming. wish i could complain to HA but that might endanger me selling.

is this weather going to last? i've got tomorrow off and am toying with a trip to Brighton or something. Mind you, cost £64 to fill the car up yesterday so.......

Paddlechick666 · 29/05/2008 12:48

oh and btw, had some info from BAA who tell me they've been on "easterlies" since early May hence increase in aircraft noise for us.

fitfox · 29/05/2008 13:52

Paddle how come BAA keep you udpated of their flight paths?

Re ASBO boy is it worth you having an off the record chat with the local community police officer? S/he might be able to shed some light on that tag...?

I have a long history of confronting yobs and have had the death threats to prove it and am slightly worried about you confronting him PC - I hope he is just an irritating ASBO type and does not have any violent history (hence the suggestion you chat with police). Just a thought.

Steppy got a text from you about DS2 last week and then some about DS1 today

Mellow - I could try the ageing cremes and eye cream - being the grand mother of the thread . I never use anything on my face apart from tap water and a touch of eye cream (which I also smooth into the area around my moputh) - oh and neck cream of course (big giveaway area)

Isn't there a name for people who poo up in the air - the "mile high club" or something?

Paddlechick666 · 29/05/2008 14:31

foxie, I emailed them and asked them why it had got so noisy over my home recetnly and they wrote me a lovely explanatory letter with lots of pretty pictures and a leaflet.

i shook the envelope but no ear plugs came out

point taken about confrontation. i know i shouldn't do it. things just escalate. i just get so angry at their double standards. how the mother can tolerate his music blaring out but not my dd walking around the room i have no idea.

good idea about community police officer, but am still worried about going on record.

am terrified flat will sell then 3 months down the line they will accuse me of lying on the questionnaire and take me to court

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 15:10

we went out to buy a dress for dd, her choice, it is entirely bright PINK

we also walked around Kew and it started raining but it is packed.

Paddle Hounslow has good neighbourhood police they usually hold regular surgeries
Funny about the planes, we were still living there went Concorde was active - very noisy but also very beautiful

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 15:50

will spend the evening baking, after heroes that is
