OP posts:
SJ99 · 29/05/2008 16:00

I seem to have a canny knack for putting out my washing just before it starts raining.

Paddle - so for you, you have the neighbours from hell and it's terrible you are made to feel so uncomfortable in your own home

DS keep talking about going on Concorde, it is a shame that that will never happen, for the time being I'm keeping his dream alive

rosmerta · 29/05/2008 16:00

sj, nice to see you and ds this morning. I've got ds's juice cup, will bring it on Sat if that's ok!

Mellow, I'd like to try the tinted moisturiser if you have some samples? Anyway, still need to email you!

We're having a quiet afternoon in now that its raining! Think I will make a peach & rhubarb crumble...

SJ99 · 29/05/2008 16:05

Thanks Ros, was going to ask you about that! At least the boys had a nice play in the sunshine, nice to see you both

Welcome back Sushi. Hope you had a good trip and thanks for the shopping

Sfx - is that DD's new party dress? Sure she will look lovely in it! Will watch Heroes too, it's starting to get exciting

SJ99 · 29/05/2008 16:07

Better get all this washing out of the rain instead of sitting on pc, crumble sounds nice, think I will do some baking too, just not sure what yet...

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 16:10

yes party dress and necklace

I have rhubarb too yum yum crumble coming up.

but I forgot about getting coffee

mellow2 · 29/05/2008 16:12

Sushi and foxie,
I'll drop off the samples over the weekend if they turn up tomorrow.

Foxie,
Did the shampoo sample irritate your scalp?

Ladies,
I have more samples. This lot is from Kimberly Sayer.

SJ - would you like to try the day cream with SPF25. It's suitable for dry, sensitive, and normal skin.

Steppie - would you like to try the night repair cream? You have to scroll down to see it.

And I also have the eye lift gel . . .

Paddlechick666 · 29/05/2008 16:13

glad to hear dd will not be the only PINK party dress wearer!

blardy rain!

also, intended to do a cheeky shop before picking dd up but then remembered a conf call in my diary

will have drag dd around tesco tomorrow morning now!

might go for a swim tomorrow arvo.....

rosmerta · 29/05/2008 16:21

Maybe I'll put ds in pink too, so he doesn't feel left out

SJ99 · 29/05/2008 16:25

DS will prob be in blue but can always bring his pink pushchair if required

Mellow - yes, will try cream thanks! Do you have any face wash by any chance? Mine is running out and I fancy a change, have used the same one for about 10yrs

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 16:32

Got given samples of a Japanese brand DHC of soap cleanser and their a smaple of their magical moisturise and protect oil. I quote...

"100% natural and bursting with vitamins and antioxidants. Just one drop of our skin smoothing moisturiser will fomr a protective barrier to help protect against skin damaging free radicals wihtout clogging pores"

It costs £25.50 for 30ml

I checked the ingrediants - guess whats in it...

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 16:36

I think the Guardian gave some of those samples too.
My skin does not seem to react to much except strong retinol so anti ageing is a bit tricky.
I keep polishing and moisturising.

but it is really showing now funny how I thought I had wrinkles in my 20's

not that I would do Botox or any sort of cosmetic surgery, well except one maybe money being no object

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 16:55

no guesses about whats in it, then?

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 16:58

parabens? it always makes me snigger that one as it is the portuguese word for congratulations with an M

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 17:00

oh no far too complicated. Jsut think of something to use as a moisturiser that you can;t imagine paying £25 for 30 mls (thats 6 teaspoons full btw)

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 17:01

vaseline?

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 17:01

close - olive oil

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 17:01

nothing else - just olive oil.

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 17:02

presumably lovingly grown on cotton wool and picked by virgins

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 17:04

can't say it is not natural especially grown properly pressed in the right way I can pay quite a lot for nice Olive oil

Kewcumber · 29/05/2008 17:05

£25 for 6 teaspoons?!! I don't beleive you pay anything like that much! You jest, surely!

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 17:11

no not for 6 tea spoons but but I suppose there is packaging marketing etc,

there is some really delicious Olive oil out there

mellow2 · 29/05/2008 17:13

Hi SJ,
I have 2 milky cleansers which are suitable for normal skin. I have the Suki cleansing milk and the lovely lovely Pai camellia and rose cleanser which is preservative free and chemical free. Pai is a brand new line I'm carrying. It's not up on the site at the moment. They cost about the same. Are they any good for you?

They're not greasy at all and can be washed off with water. But they're not foaming cleansers.

mellow2 · 29/05/2008 17:18

I did pay £15 for a 500ml bottle of olive oil and it was delicious but I was shocked by how quickly it went.

sfxmum · 29/05/2008 17:24

it is not something I would use for general cooking but once in awhile I treat myself to a nice bottle actually usually a tin, making me hungry
I like it that my daughter thinks that the suitable thing for new potatoes is to drizzle with Olive oil

mellow2 · 29/05/2008 17:41

I didn't know you can get olive oil in a tin. Where do you buy it, sfx?
