good morning all

ros/Sj/ Bunyan might make it to Lollipop if I managed to get sorted out this morning.

Paddle - glad the day went well

I seem to have hurt myself and the left side of my neck/shoulder is very painful but not as bad as yesterday so that is good.

thought snow was forecast and look - bright sunshine

my house of chocolate box is all gone with considerable help from dd, delicious. Kew was nice especially since dh did all the toddler handling at C&C a lovely day

rosmerta · 03/03/2008 09:30

sfx, I know bunyan is now planning on Kew & I'm dithering. Part of me thinks we should get outside as much as possible when we can & the other part just wants to sit down with a cup of tea & let ds go!

sfxmum · 03/03/2008 09:31

btw we got some tickets for the Thomas and Friends stage show in late March, it's at the Hammersmith Apollo dd is very excited

sfxmum · 03/03/2008 09:33

Ros very weak will here too, I tell you so understand your sentiment. the original plan was to pop to local shops and get ingredients for a crumble

rosmerta · 03/03/2008 09:33

Right, am definitely going to Lollipop!

SJ99 · 03/03/2008 09:38

I'm undecided, DS ok today but a bit grumpy. He's v. tired as he's not eating much and has no energy. An outing might do him the world of good but also could backfire if he's not in the mood aaarghh, Kew v Lollipop ...will toss a coin in half an hour and decide!

sfxmum · 03/03/2008 09:46

ok told dd about the bouncy castle and now she is so so excited will get sorted and walk down there

SJ99 · 03/03/2008 10:02

We'll stick with the original plan and try Lollipop, see you soon

SushiMummy · 03/03/2008 13:43

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a nice mother's day. My treat was breakfast at local Starbucks.

sfx - saw your DH in Richmond on Sat. He was running after your DD on the main street.

QC - are you around this weekend? I want to give you the shoes before we go to Japan (13 March).

Kewcumber · 03/03/2008 13:54

Yes Sushi - I'm around this weekend. Looks like DS won;t get into the nursery I wanted - slightly snooty woman said "Most people put their names down at one you know" So I played my ace and said "but he's adopted and I didn't have him at 1", she thawed slightly and I'm going to register him to see if he will get a resrve plce. Ho hum back to the nursery drawing board...

SushiMummy · 03/03/2008 14:10

QC - oh no, what a bummer! But she didn't say no, tho, did she? So there maybe a chance? When do you hear about it?

When do you want to meet up?

sfxmum · 03/03/2008 14:36

sushi he did say it was a challenging trip

dd was dragged kicking and screaming from Lollipop well sort of, but appears to have had a good time and I got my work out walking up and down kew road.
nice to see Ros&ds

SJ hope ds is feeling better, poor poppet he did look out of sorts

sfxmum · 03/03/2008 14:38

and KC shame about the nursery, but like sushi says she did not say NO so who knows?

stepfordwife · 03/03/2008 14:51

hi everyone
hope you're all well..

sushi...you are the child inspector, are you not? now sfx-dh has been spotted withy a runaway child, a while back it was my dh chasing dd in kew village, was it not?

kew, you might be lucky, as some people do usually drop out/put their name down for several.
your ds loaded my pockets up with cars this morning.
CM will think i'm a tea leaf...

stepfordwife · 03/03/2008 14:53

paddle..only three desserts..
pah!
amateur...

Kewcumber · 03/03/2008 14:53

I'm trawling nurseries and there is still a possibility - its just so nice and close and will have him 3 days for first year before going to 5. I also spoke to Windham and they are now only taking one intake in the Seot after they are three which for him would be Sept 09 - blimey he'll be more than ready by them. Was hoping to get him a part-time place by next Jan at latest.

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 03/03/2008 14:54

ah yes the stocking pockets thing... I think he's worried that the world might run out of toy cars and if secreting a few just in case.

OP posts:
stepfordwife · 03/03/2008 14:55

fingers crossed..
am waiting to hear from windham if dd got a place in sep

Kewcumber · 03/03/2008 14:59

can you put in a good word for me then Steppie...

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 03/03/2008 14:59

I'm going to see them week Friday.

OP posts:
SushiMummy · 03/03/2008 15:00

Steppie - Well, I also spotted you power-walking near Sainsbury a few weeks ago.

mellow2 · 03/03/2008 15:07

I'm sure you all had nicer Mother's Day than I did.

Dh and I had the biggest row about my driving and then more.

Anyway, it's been an eventful morning. I had my offer for a house on Northfields rejected as they wanted a complete chain (novice!) and I've had the estate agents to take photos of the flat.

Kewcumber · 03/03/2008 15:12

You won't be considered as a serious buyer until you've got an offer on yours mellow. SOme people will accept the offer but won't take the property off the market so a bit of a waste of time anyway.

bunyanvillas · 03/03/2008 15:37

Hello, everyone ok? How was Lollipop? dd and I spent 3 hours at Kew and now back at home, both exhausted! Kew, fingers crossed re: the nursery.

SJ99 · 03/03/2008 15:49

Nice to see you Ros and you too Sfx although it was brief, pity I was going to ask you about the TTE show, I'm sure DS would enjoy but maybe not for another year.

Glad you had fun Bunyan, will try and go to Kew later in wk in case you're up for it again, weather and grumps pending.

QC - having to rethink the whole nursery thing too along with this house move. Good luck with the application, will you put DS in private nursery until Sept 09? I think this what we'll end up doing

PC - desserts do indeed sound yum, glad the day went well for you.

Mellow - sorry to hear about the row, hope you have a better week
