erm, not sure if this will work but have started a thread in the interests of currying favour with MNHQ!

ComeOVeneer · 12/11/2007 18:57

Just adding to my list. Hope minipaddle and qc's gherkin are on the mend. AND happy birthday sushi.

lemonaid · 12/11/2007 19:03

I can't post on a Richmond upon Thames thread... whatever would people say.....?

fitfox · 12/11/2007 19:27

Lemonaid I think Putney counts as East Richmond doesn't it? In the same way that Kilburn is the 33rd county of Ireland :

I love that quote from Xenia - classic

Paddle glad DD is a bit better

sfx how is your DD now?

Am in between viewings...

SJ99 · 12/11/2007 19:46

hello, is this where we're at now?

Nice to see you Ros, hope you got back ok . DS out like a light despite marathon nap this afternoon

Paddlechick666 · 12/11/2007 20:03

perhaps we can petition MumsNet to widen our Local to West London rather than Richmond?

how blardy freezing is it?

tomorrow I think we will make a sedate trip to the library in lieu of swimming lesson.

then in arvo I plan to introduce dd to the delights of carpet/washing machine/dishwasher (ha if I think i can afford one!) and tv shopping.

;-)

Happy Birthday Sushi.

Agree would be nice to have a generic West London umbrella.

SJ Gherkin was so tired after his first expedition since last Weds that he fell asleep in the car on the way home (unusual) and was so asleep that I managed to take his shoes and his coat off and carry him from Car to bed, tkaing my coat and handbag off... only for him to wake up as I put him in bed

Popped in to see Steppie on the way over to see my mum but once he got to my mums he was a nightmare - whiny and clingy as a Clingon!

He did settle a bit after bath and story and I let him lay in my bed an watch the helicopter programme until 8pm (how decadent!). But he has dropped off straight away.

CM is going to have her hands full tomorrow if he is as much hard work.

Hope the rest of the sickies are getting better.

fitfox · 12/11/2007 20:23

I hope the sickies get better too and yes it is blardy freezing. Even I ha dth heating on oday [mean emoticon].

Well we are "twixt" viewings on the room. wo people tonight who I don't think will take it. One gay couple on the way who sound lovely. My fave, the guy from Saturday just rang to say he might be moving in with his partner, but if not, then he does want the room So I said "well, I hope it doesn't work out with your partner then LOL""!!

sfxmum · 12/11/2007 20:44

will this show up on active convos? if nor how on earth will I find it?
grumble grumble

foxie she was out of sorts all day and barely ate but seems better at least no vomiting fingers crossed, thanks for asking

and I do hope all other poorly ones feel better soon.

paddle dd is very keen on cleaning and cooking, I imagine it is a passing phase but for the moment keeps her entertained
btw I take it you mean she posted the pics on her page?

bunyanvillas · 13/11/2007 05:36

Er, hello and I am now a fake Richmond person . WELL, it is only a 20 min walk away from where I live so can I be on here? I am feeling really FAT today. Paddlechick, you are welcome to borrow my Kew pass today if it helps you out, I think we're going to have a local one.

Paddlechick666 · 13/11/2007 07:36

morning all

dd STILL asleep! altho she did have a yell for "mine monkey" around 5am. I'm pretty certain she's breathing but didn't want to go too far into her room in case I woke her.

clearly she needs the sleep.

i feel a bit of a fake richmond-er too tbh...

thanks for kew pass offer, i think we'll be staying local too. have been compiling lists in my head since 5am and think i should go do some pricing up.

so, advice and recommendations for the following:

Washer/Dryer - I like Indesit
Fridge/Freezer
Small DishWasher
TV/DVD - can i get digital without selling my body?
Hoover

All on a super small budget of course !!

OP posts:
Paddlechick666 · 13/11/2007 07:37

ps: bunyan, you're not fat your pregnant!!!

OP posts:
lemonaid · 13/11/2007 07:50

You can certainly get Freeview digital without selling your body. If you want HD then you might need to flog off a couple of fingers...

Paddlechick666 · 13/11/2007 08:14

erm, i can't figure it all out!

i will probably switch my telewest/virgin and add phone and 'net as it seems a good deal.

but i actually need to buy a TV and i thought it would be good to get a digital one now. they seem very expensive but maybe i'm misunderstanding it - not hard for me to do LOL!

OP posts:
lemonaid · 13/11/2007 08:25

Not necessarily very expensive. What are you after (type and size)? What kind of budget did you have in mind and what would count as "very expensive"?

Paddlechick666 · 13/11/2007 08:31

I guess I could go about £150 if it gets me something that won't need replacing after the digital switch over. Size would be dependant on that I suppose. Currently have a 28" I think.

OP posts:
sfxmum · 13/11/2007 08:43

good morning all

dd spent a good portion of the night shouting about bees and trains and sitting up in bed and asking if it was morning yetstill it is better than being puked on

paddle I take it no vomit today(week's theme)
sorry can't help with white goods have not bought a thing in ages and fingers crossed nothing brakes and needs replacing.

hi haunted I forget how far along you are, are you due in April?

fitfox · 13/11/2007 09:03

sfx sounds as though your DD is having "scarey dreams"

Paddle we have Indesit washing machine and it bbroke down twice - they did come and fix it and it seems OK now (crossed fingers)

fitfox · 13/11/2007 09:03

bbbbbrrrrr

sfxmum · 13/11/2007 09:19

forgot to say paddle we have a Candy which I always thought were rubbish, it came new with the flat, but has been working fine for the past 2. 1/2 yrs.
our telly is old and big but it is a hand me down a good 8yrs ago

foxie - yes she does have periods of scary dreams they are a pain.

btw any good value prospective tenants?

SJ99 · 13/11/2007 09:19

Morning all

QC - poor Ds no wonder he was wiped out after playing with all the new toys, pity he woke up as you got him into bed

PC - can't help with pricing I also haven't bought any for nearly 10yrs! I guess you can try and find the tv you want on ebay may work out cheaper...?

Tis cold, am typing with frozen fingers

sfxmum · 13/11/2007 09:23

Candy washing machine that iswhere is my brain?

hi SJ

SushiMummy · 13/11/2007 09:28

Morning all.

Had a lovely Indian takeaway last night. Nothing fancy but just nice and relaxing night.

Hope poorly ones are feeling better.

GloriaInEleusis · 13/11/2007 09:28

morning everyone. Just popping in to say congrats to SFX on pregnancy. Work is busy busy busy, so must keep this very short...

Has anyone heard from 2cute? I sent her a text this morning. Hope she relies. And I hope that she and her DS are as well as they can be in the circumstances.

SushiMummy · 13/11/2007 09:31

WOW! Excellent news, sfx!!! Congratulations!!! Am soooo happy for you. Did you follow my urban myth advice?

Kewcumber · 13/11/2007 09:46

did I miss an sfx post?!

Paddle if you are nice to me I will donate a free view box to you which I'm not using. I think it will work with any telly though not tried it - in fact if you're not fussy you can have the small TV I was going to use it with. It's only a portable but its a large'ish portable so might be enough to keep you going for a little while and avoid having all the bills in one go.
