OP posts:
sfxmum · 13/12/2007 20:51

evening all

SJ pics of shoes

Ros I remember seeing a thread praising the hoover robot whatever it is called, love gadgets

off to watch telly I think

slng · 13/12/2007 20:56

sfx - thanks for cycle shop link.

ros - cleaning appliance as xmas gift!? Potentially disastrous, I think ... though I could do with one of them things myself ... Do you think it works? On second thoughts, encourage dh to buy for his sister and report back on efficacy.

SJ99 · 13/12/2007 21:15

Well I did get some shoes in the end but not the ones from Next, it seems everyone else loves those and they hardly have any left Will try on whole ensemble before I go to bed and see if they go. Mellow I may take you up on your offer if these shoes don't go, thanks!

QC - good luck with office move, hope it's not too stressful. Where are you moving to btw? [nosey emoticon]

Ros - robomop looks good but I'm not I'd want to receive it as present, is your DH trying to tell your sister something?

SJ99 · 13/12/2007 21:16

sorry, HIS sister

stepfordwife · 13/12/2007 21:21

evening chaps
kew - no worries. your ds is a pleasure. it was really cute when we bumped into him and your ma as he was asking where dd was (indoors with her gran).

my next-door neighbour popped over on the scrounge for some rice and stayed for a cuppa with her one-year-old twins. your ds was flirting with the girlie twin, but dd was having none of it and whacked her rival on the head.

actually, they are sweet together. shall we book the wedding?

ros...that gizmo scares the hell out of me..

SJ - hope you bought those fab silver shoes

paddle - how's it going in the house?

stepfordwife · 13/12/2007 21:24

ah x-posts on the shoes, SJ. bummer!

oh, and kew, won't make it to playgroup tomorrow as dd has a party tomorrow morning. and i think she's a bit lairy for that particular playgroup as babies and "young" toddlers..
hope the move goes well..

bahKewcHumbug · 13/12/2007 21:52

hello and goodbye all - no time to chat will catch up with you all Friday or Sat post move - (Farringdon St SJ). we can discuss timing of anyone who wants to do KEw Sat evening tomorrow.

I'm off for an early night.

rosmerta · 13/12/2007 22:04

Well, that's the thing, both of his sisters are obsessively tidy, I don't think he should get it either, will have to show him this thread to try to persuade him!

SJ99 · 13/12/2007 22:04

Well all ok on outfit front, phew

Ros - this is 1st time I've been invited to DH works do, I won't actually know anyone there but still am v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.grateful for night out and chance to dress up!

Also having a early night, goodnight all

mellow2 · 14/12/2007 07:48

sj,
glad to hear you sorted out your outift for the xmas do.

sfx,
I'm working Tue and Wed so you're welcome to pop over any of the other days.

SJ99 · 14/12/2007 08:55

Morning all

I think we'll head to swimming pool this morning even though lessons have finished. We will have to wait in this arvo for technician btw 12-5, let's hope it's closer to 12 than 5

Hope everyone has a good day

sfxmum · 14/12/2007 09:51

good morning all

hope you all ok goof luck Kewcumber is Farringdon a move up? nest door to all the Guardian lefties

Christmas presents are a minefield thankfully FIL has more or less desisted on giving me clothes and bags, both of which I love but hardly ever the ones he sees fit to give me, but MIL follows with envelope with receipts.

not sure yet where to go today but just fancy a walk and hopefully stay away from crowded areas.

mellow thanks will let you know

have a nice day all

SushiMummy · 14/12/2007 10:01

Morning all.

SJ - at you going to a posh do! Don't think I've ever been to one myself.[selfpity emoticon] Have a lovely time!

Kew - good luck with the move. Must say you are brave to drive in the City (black cabs and cyclists)...

Ros - I'd love the robomop! Don't know how our cats would react to it, tho.

Hope everyone is well.

foxcubinapeartree · 14/12/2007 10:32

Aherm! I am a Guardian leftie!!

Mellow - R U around Sunday - maybe I could arrange to purchase one of your lovely bags? I could pop over to you maybe?

I saw CM this morning and she looked very ill. She is in a lot of pain. I told her to cut out all the rough sex, but got just a weak smile in response.

School disco tonight - wahayyy!! I have my Team Christmas lunch this arvo and DD has a party - its all go in the fox household! Must try and wear something glittery..

QC hope your move goes well today

SJ - is your DH's do tonight? Hope you have a wonderful time

Steppy do you fancy a cuppa on Monday?

Paddle - how is it going in the new home?

mellow2 · 14/12/2007 12:09

Foxie,
Anytime before 11 am or after 2.30pm on Sunday at mine would be okay. Otherwise, I'm free on Monday too.

SJ99 · 14/12/2007 12:28

Hi Mellow, might pop round quickly on Sun to drop off the money, hope that's ok?

Foxie & Sushi thanks but do is tom night so have to curb my excitement for 1 more day

Forgot to say thanks for tip on #R68 bus SFX. I saw one yesterday when I was leaving Richmond so hopped on it and I was surprised it goes all the way to Twick high st, perfect

mellow2 · 14/12/2007 13:11

sj,
no prob. just give us a ring before you come.

rosmincepieeater · 14/12/2007 14:01

Is anyone around this afternoon? Just wondering about a meet as I don't think I've you all for ages!

SJ99 · 14/12/2007 14:06

I would suggest you come round here but technician just called to say he's on his way - not sure how long he will be here but prob not the best idea to have toddlers running around with tools hanging about.

Plus DS has had no nap so I'm not sure he would be the best company this afternoon. Sorry, maybe we can meet next week instead?

rosmincepieeater · 14/12/2007 14:24

no worries sj, next week would be nice. Maybe I'll take ds to Tescos

sfxmum · 14/12/2007 14:51

SJ more to the point R68 goes straight to Retail Park

we have been out for a walk did some creature spotting and puddle jumping - Peppa would be proud
very nippy but I like it

can't wait for me time tomorrow even if it involves shopping in crowded shops.
am a bit apprehensive about the hairdresser, my usual girl left to start her salon very far away and this is the first with new person, hope the last one gave her notes, I just like to go there and relax and not having to keep an eye on what she is doing.

SJ99 · 14/12/2007 15:21

Ah, I've only driven to Retail park, handy to know about bus route too. It musn't be very frequent, I don't hardly ever see it.

I know what you mean re: hairdresser, it is just nice to go and relax and not feel like you have to make small talk. I am going tom also, I like the woman there, v. friendly and confident, don't feel like she's going to cut off my ear, make my hair lopsided or anything, LOL. Hope you have a good experience.

Man just left, afraid to say he had the worst builders bum ever, it was hairy too, yuk

sfxmum · 14/12/2007 15:36

SJ it is my only local bus and notoriously unreliable but it is supposed to run every 20mins

sadly will not be watching Dr Who this season it has Kylie in it

in fact this is greatly contributing to my bah humbug mood

I should get a life really

stepfordwife · 14/12/2007 16:48

hello gals
how you all diddling?
SFX.. yep, thought you seemed more of a danni fan than a kylie devotee...

Sj...hairy builder's bum.... it's just wrong, isn't it?

foxie, oh dear, poor CM. I hope she's managing to get some rest. would love to have a cuppa on mon, thanks

in theory dropping dd off at CM mon instead of tues largely so can go to ds1's christmas play and actually watch instread of walking up and down corridors with dd.

ohhh, disco, disco...get yer sparkly boob tube out..

took dd to a party today. TMI alert..saw she had something stuck in her throat and she started gagging, sooo I caught her vomit in heroic effort not to cause sick carnage on my friend's floor...
one of the many things you could never imagine doing unmtil you become a mother...
right, just off to wash my hands for the 20th time...

stepfordwife · 14/12/2007 16:50

...caught it in my bare hands just to labour the point..
ds1 and ds2 were very impressed by the gross nature of my actions..
