erm, not sure if this will work but have started a thread in the interests of currying favour with MNHQ!

OP posts:
Kewcumber · 13/11/2007 16:21

he was much better this morning though nasty cough still. Very clingy though, am going to try to get away a little early to pick him up.

stepfordwife · 13/11/2007 16:25

good idea
they just want lots of cuddle, don't they?
(says she from her manhattan style loft-space while dd "helps" dh cook )

Kewcumber · 13/11/2007 16:27

steppie - ahem - you do realise that prefixing loft with "manhattan-style" is just not convincing us, don't you? (don't want to burst your bubble or anything...)

stepfordwife · 13/11/2007 16:31

can't a girl big herself - and her 'manhattan-style loft space" up, eh? eh?

fitfox · 13/11/2007 16:44

all these bumps...

[broody emoticon]

BTW Steppy you were spot on about Rosie - she is about to pop with No 4 any day

stepfordwife · 13/11/2007 17:12

brave woman, eh, foxie?
i hear it wasn't strictly planned, tho.
no idea if it was a "planned unplanned" pregnancy, mind you
as i said to wind dh up; 'even numbers have got to be easier?!"
his answer: "Why?"
fair 'nuff...

MrsRecycle · 13/11/2007 17:44

I thought it was quiet on the other thread - found you lot gassing away here .

Happy Birthday Sushi for yesterday.

Must be a day for craking out the champagne - congratulations sfx - am so so pleased for you and wish you lots of love in this pg . I had two private scans for ds - one at the Birth Centre in the same building as the Fetal Medicine centre and one at the FMC. Were both expensive but dh paid for them when he found out I was having a ds!

Oh stop rabbiting MrsR - back to my good news!! Had the results today and it isn't cancer although it is quite weird. I have a very rare something (can't spell it!) which is basically a sweat gland on my breast. It's not likely to ever be a problem (although painful). So I'm back to a normal (if you can call me that!!) woman.

Foxie - sorry I've not rang you, I've been so so busy at work but I will try tonight.

Oh had a lovely party at the weekend - my df(of6) had a bird poo on her on the way to the raffle and she won £250 off our fees so kindly gave it to me. I then won the next prize and got her the rug she wanted. So definitely a good week all round.

Bunyan - did I miss something? - are you pg as well?? If so congrats - if not .

Paddlechick666 · 13/11/2007 17:52

definately time for champagne all round!

so pleased for you MrsR - must be a relief.

my vendor has agreed to waive the £2k if we exchange on 30th Nov when tenants have moved out. (otherwise I must pay it or they will withdraw from the sale )

tenants have now said they'll be out by 29th so that's 1.5 business days to exchange then completion 3rd Dec.

done a lot of work on sorting out utilities etc today and went to comet earlier and virtually spent approx £1400 tv is £450 alone then just under £300 for F/Freezer & Washer/Dryer and a mere £165 for a dishwasher.

haven't even priced carpet and paint yet

Hounslow have said they'll process my refund by next week so that's that spent then!

oh and dd got into All Saints pre-school which is a huge relief given that Worton Rd has just announced it's closing so there's heaps of kids to place. having a local CM who's "network'd" definately helps you steal a march LOL.

but none of this is as exciting as impending bumps and biopsy all clear.

stepfordwife · 13/11/2007 17:54

Paddlechick666 · 13/11/2007 18:02

Sounds like good news all round

Glad things are well with you Mrs R, what a relief

Glad things are working out for you too Paddle, the end is in sight. You can now picture yourself watching your new tv, bubbly in one hand (chilled from your new fridge), with your washer going on in the background

SushiMummy · 13/11/2007 19:18

MrsR, great news! What a relief for you!

sfxmum · 13/11/2007 20:43

where is Ros? she was wondering where everyone was on the other thread.

well I enrolled in a short course running from March to July so if it all goes wrong I have something to look forward to and keep busy.

can't believe I have a huge bar of choc in the cupboard and have no desire to devour it

stepfordwife · 13/11/2007 20:47

ros coooooooeeeeeee, we're over here..
sfx, what's the course?

sfxmum · 13/11/2007 20:58

it is just something on management in my area so as to keep up some of my skills, have 2 others, short ones, lined up before embarking on a longer more demanding one which I hope will lead to a degree. but that is more like a 10yr plan
baby steps baby steps

rosmerta · 13/11/2007 21:06

aha, found you. Thanks to sfx for letting me know where you were all hiding!

Sfx, congratulations, that's fantastic news! And also to MrsR!

I have emailed 2cute a couple of times but not heard anything. Hope she & ds is ok.

Sj, thanks for having us over yesterday. Sorry about ds pushing your ds around . Btw, ds woke up with a nasty cough this morning & has had a little temperature so he may have passed something on.

Poor thing slept for 3hrs today (typically when dh is "looking after" him!) and he's out like a light tonight.

rosmerta · 13/11/2007 21:11
