Book Club - Redbourn,St.Albans,Harpenden

Hi, I moved to Redbourn last year and looking to join or start a book club. Could you please let me know of a local one or if anyone is interested in starting one?

Our next meeting will be on Weds 18th March, usual venue and time.

The book this month is 'The Miniaturist' by Jessie Burton.

All welcome! Just read the book and come along.

We had a very lively discussion about 'The Miniaturist' last night, a book which everyone enjoyed very much.

Our next book is 'This Boy' by Alan Johnson and the meeting will be on Weds 22nd April at 8pm, usual place.

Sorry, this is probably a bit late unless you are a speed reader with time on your hands, but, the next book group meeting is tomorrow evening at 8 pm in the Cock Inn. The book is The Hungry Tide by Amitav Ghosh.

Florrie You're more than welcome to come and join us- we're usually identifiable as the group of ladies with Kindles and books on the table! If it is too short notice to come along tomorrow night, someone will post details on here for the following session!

Just realised I hadn't posted on this thread in ages. Yes, we are still meeting and if anyone is interested in coming along, please do!

We meet monthly (or thereabouts), in The Old Cock Inn, Harpenden.

Our May book is 'The Yacoubian Building' by Alaa al Aswany and we'll be meeting on 25th May at 8pm. PM me if you want to introduce yourself or know anything else.

Yes, Mollie, we do! Actually I'd just come on here to post the next meeting so please do read the book and come along if you'd like to. We're a friendly group and always open to new members and we always meet in Harpenden, which should be convenient for you (although not all our members live there).

Our next meeting will be on Weds 5th Oct at the Old Cock Inn, Harpenden at 8pm. This month's book is 'The Palace of Illusions' by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni.

Our next meeting is on Weds 9th Nov at 8.30pm at the Old Cock Inn, Harpenden. The book is 'Olive Kitteridge' by Elizabeth Strout.
