thought I would start a new one

OP posts:
sfxmum · 16/03/2011 12:26

it is rather dull but I saw many lovely birds outside while I plodded along by the river

regarding dirt there is a lot to be said for letting it where it is I suppose there is only so much that can accumulate, no?

OP posts:
vbus · 16/03/2011 13:31

Copper - that sort of stuff only gets cleaned once a yr in a Spring clean in our house Blush Enough time spent cleaning the dirt that is visible!
you've reminded me that must call window cleaner

Have you tried tent yet?

Was hoping weather would be bit brighter to go to park after school but tis pretty dull, ho hum indoor activities it is. DS1 is v. excited as they have chicks about to hatch at school, cute!

UptoapointLordCopper · 16/03/2011 13:48

Not tried tent yet. Plan for the weekend. Now thinking about getting a tiny table. Like this. Grin

Dust behind desk/bookshelf/wardrobe will be cleaned out if and when we move out. Is that not good enough!?

sfxmum · 16/03/2011 14:08

I thought you were trying to use as few items as possible due to size of car?Wink

OP posts:
vbus · 16/03/2011 14:11

Table looks cool, but then you'd need to buy chairs too, how will it all fit? Grin

We have 2 foldaway stools you can borrow, mega light and easy to carry/store

UptoapointLordCopper · 16/03/2011 14:18

We have chairs - they are a bit big though. DH bought them. If it had been me they would have been much smaller ones. Grin I'm much much better at buying things. Grin. Maybe we'll go for this one. Hmm

vbus · 16/03/2011 14:37

Oh those are the stools we have! But not seen with attached tray before, that's innovation for you Grin

sfxmum · 16/03/2011 15:31

Tilly pre sale tickets for Biffy supporting the Foos in May go on sale today should you be interest in link let me know

OP posts:
vbus · 17/03/2011 13:47

I love the Foos and have seen them about 5 times!

I'm quite Shock to learn that we'd been targetted as part of a scam Shock. To cut a long stressful story short, a surveyor who'd previously been struck off (we only found this out today) misled us and said he was representing our neighbour tried to get £1100 in fees from us Shock. My spidey senses were tingling and this man seemed quite dodgy, thankfully we uncovered the truth about him and no money changed hands. This building malarkey is complicated enough without such conmen around. Enough drama for me today.

sfxmum · 17/03/2011 14:24

Vbus that is awful but glad sorted before any damage is done
Re Foos I can imagine the combo show will be a riot they are all very energetic, crowd pleasing bands

There are a few things I would like to book but already have things for May maybe some last minute April and June would be nice then give it a rest until after the Summer

visited aunt today, local criminals refrained from shooting at stations which was a reliefGrin

hope everyone is well today

Hi, nearly Friday, it's been a long week! That said, every time I see the news I shudder, what horrors going on, words fail me Sad. A few surreal interludes at home. We had a "comic" moment with a new table - realised perils of internet shopping. I checked width and length in online details but didn't pay too much attention to height... I mean all tables are fairly standard aren't they? But it's really tall. I mean really, really tall. DH is 6'4'' and it works for him, but the rest of us (especially girls) need cushions! Poor DS1 looks like she's eating off a high shelf. I fear it will become less funny as time goes on. Or do I use it as an excuse to get new chairs? Can't really justify it though...

Vbus - well done for spotting scam, glad you weren't stung.

Sfx - is that Biffy Clyro? if tickets going I'd be interested and hopefully around so just let me know if you still fancy it and when it is etc. Otherwise, we can just do another time when it's good for more people Smile.

Copper - what's all this about tents? I think I've missed something. Hope it's for a nice holiday coming up.

Take care everyone.

tillyfernackerpants · 17/03/2011 20:28

sfx, am interested yes Grin, when are they playing?

UptoapointLordCopper · 17/03/2011 20:47

Hello!

I am going to hibernate. There are nutters out and about. Already had to do two emergency braking in two days - nutters deciding to step out in front of car. What is wrong with them? It's just not safe out there.

And DS1 went and fell and knocked his head. Bad graze, but hopefully nothing worse than that.

vbus - good spider sense!

Kora - get new table! Tent is for camping Grin. Don't think we can get away with permanently borrowing sfx's tent after she lent us tent and various equipment when we tried out camping last year.

TheSmallPrint · 17/03/2011 20:52

sfxmum · 17/03/2011 22:44
