Thikning of you, anorak.

Cali, are you wishing you had waited a couple of weeks before posting the shirts ? Hope your toes are warmer today.

We had our Christmas early - all in all were 14 adults and 4 kids incl my two I am still tired and they all left on Sunday. In addition, we made an offer on a house on Thursday so have been filling our paperwork and talking to the bank.

Ho. ho .ho...

Earlybird · 18/12/2007 18:41

ooh jabber - well done for getting Christmas celebrations behind you! It's still all ahead here.

And congratulations on house offer - any chance you'll be closer to me so that we can meet more easily someday?

Are you around over the Christmas break?

OverRated · 19/12/2007 00:03

at the need for label checking - what a pain. But, aren't you secretly looking forward to a trip to Asda? Tescos is uaully my first place I want to go when I land in the UK

Please DO NOT go shopping this week. We were downtown today (to see Santa and peruse the horrendously expesive German Christmas Market) and it was a nightmare. Everything is reduced though, so if you can face the crowds, you'd prbably get a good bargain.

at your early christmas Jabber. No wonder you're exhausted. Makes my festivities for 3 (one being 2 yr old DS) look a bit pathetic!

Hope Anorak is ok.

Thanks goodness most of them slept at my mother's house. But they are extreme partiers so we were up until the wee hours every night playing games and drinking As dh reminded me, I'm no spring chicken anymore so it's going to take a while to recover.

Earlybird, we will be in this area probably until the end of May then we are moving back to central Arkansas. I do bring the boys in to Nashville from time to time, though.

Me too. I had no idea the surgery was this soon.

Anorak - thinking of you.

dingdongdooneygirlonhigh · 21/12/2007 02:45

Probably too late, but bye Cali!! Have a fun time and come home safely.

Today I did a bad thing. I always try to find my Christmas and Birthday presents before the day, and DH has gotten much better at hiding them, or hiding them at his work, but this year he only hid them in his truck. . . .

at you Califrau - even if you need ziploc bags for your shoes!

Look what I got today.

Dooney, when's your birthday? Did you find anything good?

Still thinking of Anorak. Has anyone heard from her?

It isn't till May. I just don't do well with waiting, and pretty much hate surprises. He gets mad at me, because every year I ask him if I can tell him what he got for Christmas about a week or two before the actual day, because I don't want to wait for that, either. I've only had about 9 birthdays and 4 Christmases, so I'm like a small child, especially for Christmas.

I found gift cards to Macy's, which is my favorite store right now, and one to a resort spa that is about 50 miles away in the Gorge. Now I just have to act surprised and excited, but it shouldn't be too hard to act excited.

OverRated · 21/12/2007 04:04

lol. I was expecting you to say tomorrow! Why so few birthdays and christmases?

Macy's is always good.

Hello ladies! Many thanks for your good wishes. I came home this afternoon. The op went well and I am healing well but all my lymph nodes on that side had to be removed as they were cancerous. Have to wait till January 4th for the pathology reports. I am trussed up in a pressure bandage all round my middle but hope it can be simplified in a few days. Apart from tiredness and soreness I feel fine.

Cali are you going to be online while you are away?

GGM I am going to be lying on the couch, I can't lift anything heavier than a cocktail glass, doctor's orders

dingdongdooneygirlonhigh · 21/12/2007 23:04

Great to see you, Anorak!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy you will be home for Christmas. colin

Oops, left DS alone with the keyboard for a second. He wants to keep it there. Wishing the best for your recovery and a clean bill of health.
