Is anyone else doing a FET in Spetember?
I have got one good quality embryo and going to implant in September.
Anyone else doing the same? Would be good to chat to help with all this waiting!!

@Peonies94 I’ve just been told to eat healthy and lots of fibre because the meds might make me constipated. They bang on about sleep, which is never something I can do well these days but my collection was really successful in June doing the same, so I’m planning to just do the same.

@Coffeechocolatebooks123 I’ll be on 2mg, three times a day, so does that count as 6mg? (Currently waiting on AF so haven’t started yet.) Is the Progynova the oestrogen one?

Anyone who’s done this before had progesterone tested on the day of FET? A friend had this and then had to top up with progesterone injections as it was really low. I’ll be taking the pessaries anyway, but wondering if more injections could be a possibility on the horizon.

Hello and baby dust to everyone who’s joined recently! It’s exciting to think that September is nearly here

Hi @FluentTealGuide, I had a failed transfer the first time round so on the second go my clinic suggested checking my progesterone levels on day of transfer and, like your friend, it was found to be low and I was prescribed daily Lubion injections on top of the pessaries

So sorry that it didn't work out the first time. I would have thought it was a given that they check progesterone? As that is to maintain the lining? Did they do a blood test in the morning of your transfer?

No they didn’t test me the first time - guess they thought the pessaries should’ve been enough? Do you know if your clinic are planning to test you? You could ask for it if you want to cover all bases

So similar!! Have you had many side effects from the tablets yet?
I am guessing this is classed as medicated? The doctor didn't use the terms medicated and natural.

Yep I think this is medicated! Although my clinic don’t say this either, they also don’t give any other option!
I haven’t really had side effects, the past 2 days I feel like I’m coming down with something but I think that might just be unrelated. Im trying to remember previously if I did, the progesterone definitely gives me some side effects.
@FluentTealGuide my clinic check progesterone the day before transfer

MyAgileZebra · 02/09/2025 16:29

I had my 12 day scan yesterday, my lining is a little under where it should be so I'm not on Oestrogen patches too. This has delayed my transfer date from next Monday to Thursday. 🤞🏼 It thickens

FluentTealGuide · 02/09/2025 16:40

Good luck @MyAgileZebra!

AF showed up late last night, so I’ll be starting Progynova tomorrow, and have a baseline scan in the morning. (My original baseline was late in my cycle and while my uterine cavity looked fine, they couldn’t see it 100% clearly, so they want me back to double check it.)

AlmostTime · 02/09/2025 20:10

September is here- Good luck to everyone!

I had the nurse planning meeting today and have arranged for the pharmacy delivery for Thursday so assuming that works out, we’re now all set for starting when AF arrives in 2 weeks time ☺️

Definitely worth persistence, my original consultant appointment was booked for tomorrow. Each time I’ve spoken to the Care team I have taken the opportunity to say- we would like to start asap, there are x number of days until I’m due. They have all been very supportive in getting me here! If we’d waited to see the consultant, it would be cutting things very fine, especially if AF is early.

One confusing point was the consultant last week said to keep taking daily CoQ10 (400mg), despite agreeing we have 3 good embryos so progressing to FET is the best course of action for us. The nurse today has said to stop taking CoQ10, as egg retrieval is done, but continue with the other supplements.

I’ve decided to keep taking it as advised by Dr I also bought £40 worth yesterday and I plan to then ask when I contact Care to say AF has arrived in 2 weeks time. If we’d done a fresh transfer I would have been taking it up to 5 days before the transfer, so it makes sense to continue for at least another 2-4 weeks at least.

Mixed conclusions from research papers as to whether CoQ10 helps or hinders implantations. Most research is on egg quality only rather than its impact (if any) on the bodies ability to grow womb lining and support implantation.

Out of interest what have others been advised?

I’m also taking:
Proceive Max woman
Boots bump & beyond
Omega 3
Vitamin D 2000IU

Totals for the combined doses of Vit D and folate are at the top of the theraputic range- so he has a plan…

Peonies94 · 02/09/2025 20:15

Hello! Period arrived today after my consultation Monday, luckily been able to get meds urgently so baseline scan tomorrow now!!

Peonies94 · 02/09/2025 20:23

@FluentTealGuide im on the progesterone injections anyways, but have a blood test to check levels the day before our FET just incase it needs increasing!

CloudyIvy55 · 02/09/2025 20:28

I didn't get my progesterone levels checked before transfer - which worries me a little as I'm on progesterone pessaries and they are so messy and gross that I worry most of it is coming out and I'm not getting the right dose! A bit too much information maybe 😂

Good luck with your scan @Peonies94

6dp5dt for me today...the wait continues.

FluentTealGuide · 03/09/2025 11:34

Baseline scan today shows my lining is too thick, so have to come back tomorrow. Feeling a bit sheepish as I’d taken my first Progynova pill already this morning but apparently wasn’t supposed to have done until after my scan! (My schedule just said to take Progynova from day 2, that it needed to be 3 times a day, 8am, 2pm and 8pm, and that I’d have a baseline on day 2. Looking back it seems obvious I’d need to wait but I don’t think it was super clear! Really hoping this doesn’t mess up the cycle completely…

Kr0 · 03/09/2025 15:47

@FluentTealGuide that doesn’t sound like it was clear, I would have done the same as you! If it makes you feel any better my clinic don’t do baseline scans so I started mine with no clue until I got to the scan to check my lining was thick. If you only took one it would be a small dose too.

MyAgileZebra · 03/09/2025 17:05

Good luck on your scan @Peonies94

When do you plan on testing @CloudyIvy55 ?

@FluentTealGuide that's easily done, I'm sure it will be fine.

FluentTealGuide · 03/09/2025 18:19

@Kr0 @MyAgileZebra Thanks for the reassurance! There’s so much waiting in this unfortunate game that the idea of another delay really got to me. I had lunch with my husband (his office and the clinic are both in central London) and he wasn’t worried at all. (And it was nice to have something nice to do afterwards.)

CloudyIvy55 · 03/09/2025 19:05

@MyAgileZebra my official test day is 9th Sept - but that morning both me and my partner up both up and out really early for work so I don't really want to test that morning as we just won't have any time to process the result either way.

So I told myself I would test on the 8th - but I'm starting to struggle! I'm tempted to test on Saturday as it seems like a good time work wise and that would be 10 days post transfer 🤔

CloudyIvy55 · 03/09/2025 19:19

After the transfer I felt pretty positive but the last day or so not so much....

Don't know if anyone else has felt this but the years we were ttc, each month I would just get this feeling of 'this hasn't happened, I'm not pregnant' before I had any signs of my period on its way...just a gut feeling that unfortunately was always right.

Peonies94 · 03/09/2025 19:33

@FluentTealGuide similsr for me today too! A cyst found on one of my ovaries so bloods to check if can go ahead! Lining was also a little thick (7mm) but my cycles are usually long so said it was probably due to break away soon but needed to check the cyst to see if it was containing hormones! Now to wait for blood results and another scan booked for the weekend!

Definitely get you with the gut feeling - however just to maybe keep you a bit hopeful I once had this feeling one cycle and tested negative 9,10 and 11DPO, spent 11DPO literally crying on the bathroom floor and then tested positive on 12DPO. I was soooo convinced I was out. So even though that gut feeling can be right and even though we do know our bodies so well, it isn’t always 100% right! And remember so many people who are successful are symptomless 🤞🏻

Mamafromtheblock · 03/09/2025 20:17

@CloudyIvy55 know exactly what you mean. It’s so hard to stay positive the whole time, it’s such a long time to wait and swear time slows down 😂

I had a scan today, frustratingly my period was late this month (isn’t this always the way!!) and I’ve got a dominant follicle so not quite down regulated enough 😢 another week of buserelin and we’ve pushed transfer by another week so not likely to be until 29th now. Time is going slowly enough already without moving the goalposts!

MyAgileZebra · 03/09/2025 21:05

@CloudyIvy55 10dpt is good restraint, I'm not going to kid myself that I will last longer than 7dpt. I know what you mean about having a feeling, although I think I'll always think the worst so not to get my hopes up to be disappointed. There's still hope 🙂 x

Peonies94 · 04/09/2025 06:57

@Mamafromtheblock it’s so frustrating isn’t it? Constant goal posts being moved! Time does seem to go so slowly!

Peonies94 · 04/09/2025 06:59

@MyAgileZebra I’m exactly the same! 7/8 DPT is probably the max I’ll manage to wait out!

ALittleExpressive · 04/09/2025 17:37

G'day all, I'm originally from the July group. 36 y/o gay ladies who had a failed FET two months back (unmedicated, 4BB). We're back on the horse, so to speak and due to transfer our last remaining embryo (medicated, 3BC) next week, if our lining scan goes to plan tomorrow. It was below the threshold a few days ago, so I've been thowing back the beetroot and pomegranate juice in an attempt to revive it... acting like I've got complete control over it XD

Wouldn't it just be nice to get pregs? Gosh, it's the dream, isn't it... here's hoping this September forum thread is a lucky one for all.

jenk91 · 04/09/2025 18:07

Welcome @ALittleExpressive ☺️ I’m same timeline as you, but I haven’t had a scan yet since my bleed so no idea whether mine will be alright tomorrow - fingers crossed!

Wouldn't it be nice indeed, is it so much to ask 😩😩 fingers crossed for us all! 💫
