Is anyone else doing a FET in Spetember?
I have got one good quality embryo and going to implant in September.
Anyone else doing the same? Would be good to chat to help with all this waiting!!

@FluentTealGuide i feel exactly the same!
I tested negative again this morning so it’s become quite clear I’m negative! Annoyingly also have to go into the clinic Saturday for them to tell me and pay for yet another blood test!
does anyone know how long the blood tests usually take to come back?

I'm so sorry - that feels a bit cruel! I don't know - can you message them and ask? I think it'd be a fair question.

ForPearlBird · 24/09/2025 07:08

@Peonies94 sorry to hear. When I've had bloods taken, they have usually had the results for the next day but I suppose every clinic is different. It doesn't make sense that you have to do bloods even if negative. Maybe its for medication reasons.
Glad the transfer went well @StillBelieving2. Maybe your planned trip would be a good distraction. Wishing you and @Gosia19 lots of luck.

StillBelieving2 · 24/09/2025 09:01

@ForPearlBird thank you. Yes I'm very much torn between what to do! I definitely think it will be a distraction and relaxing... but then I'm unsure if the flight and likely late night will be a negative 🙈

Any thoughts welcome!

ForPearlBird · 24/09/2025 09:13

Tricky one isn't it. I guess it depends how you feel with the medication etc but if you do feel fine, it will make the wait go quicker. Maybe you could ask the clinic re flying, I thought it was okay to fly but probably best to double check. When is your test date?

StillBelieving2 · 24/09/2025 11:56

Looking at their FAQs they suggest no travelling above 4 hours, it will only be a 45 minute flight 😅 my test date is 6th October, and I'd fly out on the 4th and back on the 5th...

Kr0 · 24/09/2025 12:08

So sorry to hear that @Peonies94

FluentTealGuide · 24/09/2025 14:32

@Peonies94 Sorry to hear that. It's so disappointing for you. With result timings I think it depends on the clinic. My nurse said that if the test is before noon they will have the results the same day, but I suspect there is also an element of business and priority at play (e.g. a progesterone test before transfer would probably take priority over a pregnancy test). I was wondering about the necessity of the test too, as I won't be taking a urine test until the Monday morning before going in for bloods (I'm technically supposed to do it Sunday, but I'm away, and rather than doing it later in the day when I'm back, we decided to do it with FMU Monday first thing). I don't know how I'll manage the 75-minute commute to the clinic if it's negative.

camelinastorm · 24/09/2025 16:50

Random one but does anyone know the needle size as in the gauge for progesterone injections I have the yellow ones but they seem too thin to get the oil through

Gosia19 · 24/09/2025 16:54

Hi @camelinastorm- I used the yellow ones (my clinic ordered them for me), you can feel that the liquid is thicker as you push a bit harder on the plunger but they have worked fine. It doesn’t hurt or anything!

I’d recommend checking that the top is securely pressed on, I had one comedy moment where the syringe came away from the top and the liquid went everywhere as I was pressing hard. 😂

Gosia19 · 24/09/2025 16:57

Thanks everyone for the good luck messages! My OTD is tomorrow and my clinic told me to test first thing in the morning. My bf and I both have to go to work immediately afterwards.

As I’m currently 13DPT, do you reckon it would be reliable to test tonight? It would be nice to have the evening together to process the news but I don’t want to risk a false negative. I’m hoping at this point this would be lower risk…

Also with MFU, I’ve been finding that I need to get up to go for a wee around 3am anyway so not sure if the 6.30am wee will be FMU anyway….

I know there isn’t any right or wrong here, would love to know what you would do

camelinastorm · 24/09/2025 17:06

@Gosia19 yeh I've tried that just seems to take absolutely ages for it to inject and it 2ml so a bigger amount, thanks I'll persevere with it, I'd say safe to test my clinic is test 7days past transfer then again 10 days past if negative strange isn't it how clinics vary

FluentTealGuide · 24/09/2025 18:44

Has anyone had digestive issues with progesterone? I’m on Lubion and my stomach is just so uncomfortable after I eat most things. TMI – it’s making so many noises like it’s in constant digestion and I have veeery slow moving gas. My clinic just said lots of protein and fibre, which I’ve been doing, although I’m wondering if the extra fibre is making things uncomfortable (is that a thing?).

Peonies94 · 24/09/2025 19:04

Ahh okay! I’m guessing mine will be the test Saturday and results Tuesday then! When I had estrogen tested I had to wait until Tuesday because it was a Saturday ! Frustrating! I’d rather have the blood test Friday really but not sure they’ll allow, will ask them! Don’t really want to need to continue my injections for days unnessesarily!
@FluentTealGuide sorry your having issues! Can’t help with what it may be though! Hope you feel better soon!

Peonies94 · 24/09/2025 19:06

@Gosia19 tonifht should be absolutely fine!
I’ve seen that from 7 days first morning should be reliable, so at 13 days you should be absolutely fine to get a reliable result, so long as you hold for 2 hours or so!

Gosia19 · 24/09/2025 19:53

Hi everyone - we did the test and sadly it was negative. We’re disappointed but doing okay and feeling fortunate to have the evening to look after each other. Thanks for all of the lovely encouraging messages and best of luck to everybody waiting or in the early stages of pregnancy, wishing you all the best xxx

I am so very sorry, Gosia. I'm glad you're looking after each other. Much love - do look after yourself. It's very hard.

Peonies94 · 25/09/2025 06:42

@Gosia19 im so sorry, but glad you were able to do it instead of the morning before rushing to work. It’s really horrible seeing the negative isn’t it? Did another this morning just to be sure I didn’t need to order more meds and it’s definitely negative as well! So will be another transfer in a few months for us 😔!

Kr0 · 25/09/2025 06:54

@Gosia19 so sorry lovely. Take care of yourself and I’m glad you did it last night not this morning. Sending hugs

MintOwl · 25/09/2025 07:48

So sorry @Gosia19 and @Peonies94 - sending hugs to you both xx

StillBelieving2 · 25/09/2025 13:28

So sorry @Gosia19 and @Peonies94 , glad you could digest the info together before work today. Sending lots of hugs x

ForPearlBird · 25/09/2025 16:40

So sorry both, sending love x

Peonies94 · 25/09/2025 19:44

Thank you all!

Peonies94 · 27/09/2025 05:30

Those of you who have had previous failed transfers was there any additional testing you had done?
ive been considering what may be useful but also trying to be realistic in the fact that it is only our first transfer, but don’t want to end up just keeping on using our blasts up with no success when it could have been changing something that could help us!

blossomhoney2 · 27/09/2025 06:26

Hello everyone, bit of a lurker on here but thought I’d say hello now 👋 I had a transfer on 19th September, I’m now 8dp5dt and testing negative so I’m 90% sure I’m out.

oThose that have tested positive so far massive congratulations and wishing you the very best 😊 for those who have negatives and still have embryos, do you plan to have a break for one month before going again? I have one frozen embryo left from when I was 35 now (I’m almost 39). Echoing also @Peonies94s questions, it would be interesting to know if there are any tests to be done. Gosh it’s such a rollercoaster this journey. I’ve been in a terrible mood this week as I’ve had an inkling it hasn’t worked (I’ve had one successful transfer which resulted in my son, with him I was testing positive from day 7 so I just know I’m out now). I’m trying to cheer myself up by spending time on zalando and ordering myself some new jeans (which I know I’ll fit into now because my tummy isn’t going to get any bigger unfortunately). Sending lots of love to all on this group. I’m also trying to build myself up for another egg retrieval if this last transfer doesn’t work. I guess it will be in January, but I know the odds are more against me because I’m older this time (last time I was 35, now 39…). Doing lots of ChatGPT research about statistics and chances of another pregnancy and it’s definitely not good for my mental health.. need to stop googling and researching and going down a rabbit hole. Aaahhh!

camelinastorm · 27/09/2025 08:39

@Peonies94 @blossomhoney2 I had 1 failure and 3 early losses I had a full blood screening done and turned out my thyroid was slightly elevated I got T4 tablets to get it within range this was all they found and said it was just luck if it worked ...... Well I assumed it was more science but who am I to question it, I was also placed under my recurring miscarriage team but the wait is 9m !! I am older and they recommend not doing any more rounds until I had seen the team...... I chose not to wait so running the risk in all honesty but I couldn't wait to do a collection for a year due to age
