Hi everyone, I’m another late arrival- had my FET at a similar time to @CloudyIvy55 and @MintOwl, 9dp5dt today. My OTD is Tuesday and I’m also too nervous to test until then!

Massive congratulations to @CloudyIvy55 !!! What lovely news, wishing you all the best.

Good luck to @MintOwl for testing Monday, and to everyone else preparing for transfers.

MintOwl · 06/09/2025 11:41

Very best of luck to you too @Blueskycat!

Has/is anyone doing a natural modified FET? If yes would you mind sharing what it looked like for you in terms of scans, meds, timings etc. I know everyone’s protocol is different so will obviously take with a pinch of salt. I did medicated last time which failed and I’m just looking at a natural modified approach for my next transfer. Thank you!! X

MyAgileZebra · 06/09/2025 16:49

Transfer buddies @Kr0. Do you have anymore scan or tests before then?

Good luck @MintOwl @Blueskycat @Ephesus1010 for when you decide to test 🤞🏼

Peonies94 · 06/09/2025 18:23

What day did everyone have their transfer on? I’m guessing it’ll be around cd18-21? Just trying to look at when to expect it to be!

FluentTealGuide · 06/09/2025 18:59

@Peonies94 Haven’t had my transfer yet but the nurse talked me through a hypothetical schedule that went a bit like this:
Day 1: cycle begins (bleed)
Day 2: start Progynova (estradiol) tablets
Day 12: scan confirms lining is good
Day 13: start progesterone pessaries
Day 19: transfer day

Of course these all depend on scans and protocol – for example I’m on tablets and pessaries rather than injections, and I actually didn’t start my oestrogen tablets until day 3 because they wanted me to shed more lining first. But hopefully this gives you a rough timescale.

jenk91 · 06/09/2025 19:12

@Peonies94 mine will be cd 19

Peonies94 · 06/09/2025 19:21

@FluentTealGuide thsnk you that’s useful! I’ve not been given mine like that but so far

jave had a scan on cd3, started estrogen that day too! Day 8 have another scan and again another on day 11. I believe i have a fourth scan around about day 14 but that’s aw far as I’m aware, I guess if all is okay then, I’ll probably begin progesterone!

similiarly I didn’t start my estrogen until day 4 because lining was thick and had to wait for bloods for a cyst!

@Peonies94 I was cd18 - my LH surge was on cd13 which was a bit earlier than I expected. So cd18-21 sounds about right for me. I was relieved it was earlier as I've got a massive day at work on Monday that would have been tricky if I'd had to go in that day or if the transfer was tomorrow as I wouldn't have been able to prep for Monday xx

Peonies94 · 06/09/2025 19:22

@jenk91 thank you!

I'm doing a natural FET @Hopeandfaith1990 (not sure what natural modified means and whether that's different to what you are doing).

I had a scan to check uterus lining on cd10. All was good and they could see that i was due to ovulate from left ovary. They then asked me to do ovulation tests evening and mornings from that day, so evening of cd10, and I tested positive for a LH surge on evening of cd11 which was earlier than I expected. Started progesterone pessaries morning and night from cd14 and had transfer on cd18. Will be testing on cd29 and hoping for good news 🥰

Are you planning to do similar medication wise or no progesterone?

@Peonies94 - realised LH surge was actually cd11 not cd13. Then transfer a week later on cd 18.

Thank you that’s really helpful. My previous cycle was with so much medication. I was injecting for about 6 weeks in total with it all.

I’m hoping to do exactly as you described with a trigger shot and progesterone in the run up and after transfer. Natural modified is a natural cycle plus the optional trigger and progesterone. Essentially no down regulating and oestrogen. I’m also on an immune protocol for recurrent miscarriage so I think I just found the last cycle a lot with all the IVF meds and the recurrent miscarriage meds! X

Glad that helps - I feel surprisingly quite sore and bloated since my transfer. I say surprising, I've read its normal, but I don't remember it from last time. I think the progesterone is also making me feel quite tired and headachey or it could just be from cutting caffeine 🤣 hope all goes well for you and you have chance to rest xxx

Kr0 · 06/09/2025 20:06

@MyAgileZebra great to have a buddy! I had a scan last week but nothing until the day of now. They test progesterone on the day of the transfer. You?

MyAgileZebra · 06/09/2025 20:37

@kro I have a blood test on Monday to test progesterone. I wasn't tested for my fresh transfer so a little nervous about the results.

Peonies94 · 06/09/2025 20:41

@MyAgileZebra mine is also being tested the day before transfer as well!

Thank you!! I also get awful headaches every time I cut caffeine 😂 I hope you feel better soon - I do think a bit of soreness is normal but definitely talk to your clinic if it’s bad. The progesterone is the worst for side effects 😓 hoping and wishing you a positive outcome x

@jenk91 Thank you! I've generally been feeling ok physically, and then I've been more anxious today without the distraction of work.. a mix of wanting to know and not wanting to know!

@Hopeandfaith1990 so sorry to hear of recurrent miscarriage and all the meds too. I'm on a natural modified cycle but perhaps more like your last one-

I started taking the following from day 10, twice a day, and have continued since transfer (now 10dp6dt):

Cyclogest 400mg pessary
Lubion 25mg injection
Progynova 2mg tablet

that is really helpful - so you just started Progynova CD10 and then continue daily for the foreseeable if you get a positive? How much Progynova? Before I was on 3 tablets a day x
