I have got one good quality embryo and going to implant in September.

(And, I absolutely share your frustration that they didn't test before! I'm so sorry it ended in a MC that time.)

MyAgileZebra · 19/09/2025 18:44

@jenk91 that was my plan, do you usually have to wait until after a natural period? Or just start on the next period, so October? I imagine like everything else all clinics are different.

Sorry about your MMC too, it's so tough. Hope your wait for a consultation isn't too long.

MyAgileZebra · 19/09/2025 18:50

@SarahAndQuack I started on blood thinning injections on day 1. My consultant said that I'm only a little over and it won't do any harm having them.

However, I had a consultation with a different gynae and he had a a different perspective and said that the blood tests should be repeated 8 weeks after the first. He said he wouldn't put me on them as I have a history of miscarriages and if I had another one I risk bleeding out.

It's so hard when everyone gives different advice but I just thought it's something different to try and at this point I'll try anything. Might be worth asking your new clinic about it.

SarahAndQuack · 19/09/2025 19:13

@MyAgileZebra - thanks so much for your reply; I really appreciate it, especially when you are having a rough time right now. I also have a history of MC, so perhaps that's why my doctor was being a bit unsure.

Feeling a little wobbly… I’ve been having tiny cramps and twinges through the last week but feeling stronger and more like period cramps now (8dpt), worried it’s a bad sign. 😔 My test day isn’t until next Thursday.

My period would be due about now, although I’m taking loads of medication so I guess it might not come even if it hasn’t worked.. my clinic hasn’t told me this but seen other posters say similar.

It's so rough; I'm sorry. I really think it's impossible to tell - there's so much medication, and it's all so unpredictable. I hope the cramps stop.

Yep they like us to hve a period in between!

@Gosia19 if it’s any consolation, of my 3 transfers, the one that worked I started to get some really strong period cramps on and off the few days before OTD, keeping everything crossed for you!

Peonies94 · 19/09/2025 19:54

i think my clinic likes you to have a break between cycles as well, annoyingly! 😔 would just like to get started straight away! I guess the break does allow you some time though!

Gosia19 · 19/09/2025 20:15

Thanks gang for the speedy thoughtful replies. To add to the stress, I just did my PIO injection - the syringe came apart from the needle while I was injecting (needle already in my tummy) and managed to spray myself and my kitchen in oil, staining the wall. Honestly I’ve got to laugh otherwise I’d cry. 😅

ForPearlBird · 20/09/2025 06:04

I thought I would share our good news. We tested yesterday at 9days PT and got a positive test!

Gosia19 · 20/09/2025 07:11

Peonies94 · 20/09/2025 07:54

@Gosia19 oh you do poi into your stomach? Mine is the bum which means my husband has to do, which most the time is fine but then if he is away it’ll be hard work! 🤦‍♀️ I ageee it’s soo messy though!!

Kr0 · 20/09/2025 08:56

@ForPearlBird congratulations.

we also tested this morning and got a positive

MintOwl · 20/09/2025 08:57

@jenk91 so sorry to hear about your test yesterday, sending hugs and hoping it may yet turn around for you

fingers crossed for you too @Gosia19. I’ve had a couple of similarly comedy injecting moments over the last few weeks, particularly when using public toilets

MintOwl · 20/09/2025 08:58

Fantastic news @ForPearlBird - congratulations!

MintOwl · 20/09/2025 08:59

And congratulations @Kr0 - lovely news!

Peonies94 · 20/09/2025 09:55

@Kr0 great news congratulations to you both!
@ForPearlBird
so lovely to have some nice news in this group!
hoe many days ago was your transfer? Was this the first time you tested?
I’ve woken up today just feeling so negative about it! I’d been so positive the first 2 days, but now today just feel like it’s failed 😔 no idea why, just no symptoms and having a bit of a rubbish day! Think the meds are making me emotional!

MyAgileZebra · 20/09/2025 10:19

Congratulations @ForPearlBird @kro x

Gosia19 · 20/09/2025 10:23

Amazing news @Kr0and @ForPearlBird! And thanks @MintOwl- glad it’s not just me. 😂

I get you @Peonies94- I felt so down yesterday but there is no real way to tell. I know that’s way harder to deal with in practice because all of the emotions feel incredibly real at the time. I’ve got my fingers crossed for you. ☺️

I’ve decided to have a slow morning having a long shower, skincare, hair, nails etc. I might feel like crap but taking care of myself might make me feel better ha.

jenk91 · 20/09/2025 10:37

Lovely news @Kr0 @ForPearlBird congrats!

AlmostTime · 20/09/2025 10:39

Ive had a debacle this morning!

After 2-3 days of spotting (which I never have) finally able to report a very belated cycle day 1 to my clinic today. As it’s Saturday and outside normal clinic hours I phoned the out of hours number to be told my protocol hasn’t been signed off by the Dr! The on call nurse I was speaking to works at another branch and said not to worry, I won’t be starting any medication for a week or so, it will be ok for them to contact me to arrange on Monday.

I’m a cynic and that doesn’t tally with the conversation I had with the clinic nurse during planning so I googled the drug names to check and I am meant to be starting Oestrogen tablets!!

I called the urgent clinic number and all sorted now, I can start them on Monday to align with their local protocol and book in scans and blood tests etc but it definitely pays to double check things!

I should probably join the October FET group now as this has dragged on spectacularly - Good luck to everyone over the next few days!

Kr0 · 20/09/2025 12:28

Thankyou all so much.
@Peonies94 i tested at 10dpt, mine was last weds.
@AlmostTime glad you’ve started the cycle now!

Peonies94 · 20/09/2025 13:37

@Gosia19 so true ! Thats good, it’s so important to take some time for yourself amongst all the sadness!
im having a clear out today! Getting rid of things that just clutter my house! That’s helping to clear my mind!

SarahAndQuack · 20/09/2025 13:50

Congratulations @Kr0 and @ForPearlBird! How lovely to read.
@AlmostTime, what a stressful expereince! I may come join you in October as my first scan isn't until the 25th, so I might edge over into Oct, not sure yet. Best of luck with your journey!

ForPearlBird · 20/09/2025 14:37

Thank you all.
@Peonies94 I tested at 9 days and yes it was my first time testing.
I know you said you were going to start early testing, when are you planning on starting?
