Is anyone else doing a FET in Spetember?
I have got one good quality embryo and going to implant in September.
Anyone else doing the same? Would be good to chat to help with all this waiting!!

When I first started doing injections I was using an ice pack for a few seconds before… I don’t bother anymore as I’m not nervous and it’s quicker. I noticed that I had barely any bruising when I used the ice pack so might go back to it. Bruises aren’t painful though. ☺️

It's a negative still for me so I'm out. I know everyone's different but I personally find it easier testing early as I'm more prepared and can get used to the idea.

I have one embryo left, I thought I was going to go as soon as I can but now I'm thinking of maybe waiting until after Xmas. Hmm decisions.

Hope everyone else has better results, all the luck for those testing this weekend xx

Sorry to hear this. Take care of yourself and give yourself the time you need. You'll know when the right time is for you to go again xx

Kr0 · 19/09/2025 07:11

@MyAgileZebra im so sorry to hear your news. You do whatever is right for you. Take care of yourself. Xxx

Peonies94 · 19/09/2025 07:33

@MyAgileZebra i agree with the testing and getting more used to the idea! I feel like if I waited the full 11 days I’d be soubly disappinted!
im so sorry it’s a negative 😔! It’s so hard to choose between going straight for it or allowing yourself time isn’t it?
would you need to have a month off between as well? I’m not sure how most clinics work as to whether you need one ‘normal’ period inbetween)
sending lots of love 🫂

Peonies94 · 19/09/2025 07:38

@Gosia19 i have been using heat as I’ve been doing progesterone in oil so for it to not thicken, but I also gave up and just found it was easier to just get it done quickly, but I have bruised more too!
I’ve ordered tests now! I’m only 2dpt so plan to try and hold out until Monday, but I’ll likely cave Sunday as I’ll have them by then 🤦‍♀️

Gosia19 · 19/09/2025 07:52

So sorry to hear @MyAgileZebra- sending love and take care, give yourself all the time you need xxx

MintOwl · 19/09/2025 08:11

So sorry to hear this, @MyAgileZebra, take care and wishing you all the best whatever you decide xx

jenk91 · 19/09/2025 08:24

Sorry @MyAgileZebra look after yourself xx

Im 7dpt, tested negative so although I know there’s a slight chance, I’m 99% sure I’m out too

Peonies94 · 19/09/2025 10:12

@jenk91 im so sorry! Sending love x

Gosia19 · 19/09/2025 10:40

Sorry to hear your disappointing news @jenk91- when is your official test day? I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you x

Kr0 · 19/09/2025 11:52

@jenk91 I’m so sorry lovely. Sending hugs xx

SarahAndQuack · 19/09/2025 11:57

Sorry to hear this, @jenk91 and @MyAgileZebra.

SarahAndQuack · 19/09/2025 12:15

DD and I have what I assume is covid (it's all over her school). Thank goodness it's now while I'm waiting for transfer, as I assume it can't do much damage. But I feel really rough. I am finding it hard emotionally, being on my own.

jenk91 · 19/09/2025 12:29

Thank you guys! This journey is so shit!
@Gosia19 Official test day isn’t until Wednesday, I shouldn’t have tested today 😩

Gosia19 · 19/09/2025 13:12

@jenk91I can’t pretend to know the science but I guess if OTD is a few days away there is still a chance. ❤️ There’s no right or wrong, you’ve got to do what’s best for you!

ForPearlBird · 19/09/2025 13:37

@jenk91 sorry to hear this, although there is definitely still time. Keeping everything crossed xx

FluentTealGuide · 19/09/2025 14:08

@jenk91 @MyAgileZebra Sorry to hear about your negative tests. Sending love and hope for the future.

@SarahAndQuack We’ve all come down with colds right after the transfer. Not ideal 😅. I tested and fortunately not Covid. Reading online it seems that it shouldn’t really affect implantation unless I get a fever, but I know what I’m going to be blaming if this transfer doesn’t work! At least I’d already planned to have these past few days off anyway, so I could chill after the transfer.

Getting meds has been stressful though! It has been such a palaver. I’ve been trying to get more Progynova since Tuesday, but everywhere has been out of stock. Nowhere had Lubion, which the clinic asked me to start after the FET. We managed to get ASDA to order both on Wednesday but the Progynova won’t arrive before I’ll need more, so I need a couple days’ worth to bridge the gap. I’m kicking myself for not doing the maths earlier on when the Progynova would run out – or asking sooner if I’d need to continue taking it after the transfer. (Naïve, I know!) Thankfully the clinic said delaying taking the Lubion is fine and to just start them whenever we get the meds, so I’ve just been focusing on the Progynova. We found a Boots with stock but they were a massive PITA, first rejecting the digital copy the clinic sent and then refusing the original copy because the Dr’s name wasn’t legible (CMS number was provided though). They eventually conceded (with much reluctance) when my husband called the clinic to confirm the Dr’s name.

Sorry, that turned into a bit of a rant 😅.

@jenk91 sorry to hear that, it's so shit isn't it. Do you have anymore frozen?

@Peonies94 I would have to, especially as I actually felt pregnant the last couple of days as my symptoms pumped up so would have been majorly disappointed. I felt it softened the blow somewhat x

Peonies94 · 19/09/2025 16:17

@MyAgileZebra i feel this way too! Can stop living in dream land a little sooner with so much hope!

@FluentTealGuide i have a similar issue my injections run out 2 days after OTD but I need to post off prescription and wait a few days for it be recieved and then re sent so I’m going to have to do it this week, but don’t really want to unless positive as I only need if positive! Think I’ll test Tuesday and keep testing then and make a decision Wednesday, but I’ll probably just post it anyways if any sort of line

MyAgileZebra · 19/09/2025 15:02

@jenk91 sorry to hear that, it's so shit isn't it. Do you have anymore frozen?

I have one more in the freezer, but I’m hoping to speak to consultant before we do another transfer to see if there are any more tests we can do to understand why it’s not working! We are nhs and at my clinic you have to have 3 failed transfers before they will look into it more - no idea what this would be but will be good to at least try and see if there’s something else we can try!
Do you have any frozen?

MyAgileZebra · 19/09/2025 17:16

@jenks how many transfers have you had? Do you have any particular tests in mind? I'm also NHS, my fresh transfer was a MC and my consultant recommended blood tests which I'm not sure why they don't do to begin with TBH. He recommended other tests such as ALICE/EMMA and others but there are so many and all expensive and he said a lot of time they come back inconclusive. My blood tests came back slightly over for sticky blood so put me on blood thinners for this last transfer. I also have just one left.

jenk91 · 19/09/2025 18:00

@MyAgileZebra this was my third, my second one ended in mmc so I got a little further at least! Sorry about your mc 😔
I have no idea what tests, I feel like I have read so many different things but have no clue what is helpful and what isn’t, I guess I will see what the doc says, but god knows how long we’ll have to wait until that appointment!
I also wonder why they don’t do all the tests before, I know it’s a cost but if it means you need fewer transfers etc to be successful surely that makes more sense.
Im glad you have another one on ice! Will you go ahead with another transfer as quickly as possible?

SarahAndQuack · 19/09/2025 18:28

@MyAgileZebra, do you mind me asking when they did the blood tests, and when they put you on blood thinners?

At my first clinic in 2017 they did one test that came back as a possible positive for anticardiolipid - they meant to do another one but didn't; I don't know why - and that clinic had me injecting blood thinners in the period while I was taking stims for medicated IUI. With my current clinic I obviously gave them my medical history and the doctor said we could discuss blood thinners on transfer day and no need until then. To be honest I forgot about it because I am taking so many different things I am rattling (sure we all know the feeling!). But I just wondered about it.
