Hi everyone. Thought I would make this thread for anyone hoping to have a FET in August!

I am waiting for my period to start hopefully any day now before embarking on a natural/natural modified attempt.

I have had one failed fresh transfer and have 3 frozen embryos.

Good luck everyone!

Hi @Rosieposy89how are you getting on after transfer? Did you do the same protocol from the previous two transfers you have had?

I am 4dp5dt today and feeling pretty rubbish. I did wake up feeling pressure in my stomach and really quite bloated, feeling a bit sick and just irritable but I’m fully aware the meds are what’s causing it
I have an engagement party of a friends tonight and need to work my way round the not drinking part and explanations for others plus I have absolutely nothing to wear and have put on a some weight plus the bloating nothing is fitting good. I just feel absolutely rubbish and thing is if I knew I was pregnant I would probably not feel as bad and be able to deal with it but it’s this plus the un knowing that is causing me the anguish
I did say I would wait until 9dp5dt but I’m not trying to convince myself 6dp5dt would be good. Ahhhh help me

Rosieposy89 · 09/08/2025 18:24

@pinksheetss I had a bit of soreness after, but all fine thank you. Just tired and cramps. My side effects from the meds have been infinitely better this time. It's the same protocol.
I have never tested early as I like to live in denial. I am tempted this cycle as a BFN is hard to take on OTD.
Can you just have a fizzy drink and pretend it has booze in? Or drive and that's your excuse

CharChar88 · 10/08/2025 10:06

hi @Rosieposy89 - sorry to hear your transfer was uncomfortable that must have been horrible. I can still remember the pain from coil fittings so can only imagine your experience.

Yesterday sounded like a hard day @pinksheetss, I hope it wasn’t as bad as expected?

I am still counting down the days, hour by hour 🙈🤣 but have been feeling pretty dreadful - I think the meds have affected me a lot more this time for some reason. My back was agony on Friday and yesterday afternoon I was exhausted with a migraine by the evening then upset stomach 😭. Day 6 today and I have resisted the urge to test, current plan is wait until late day 8. I just want my husband to be around as in the morning he has to rush off to work so early.

sending love and positive hope for everyone xx

pinksheetss · 10/08/2025 10:23

Morning @CharChar88I am exactly the same today.
5dp5dt today and feel like I could just go test and find out but I’m also really worried to burst the bubble
I have an Oura ring and probably it’s not helping as it tracks temperature and my temp has been elevated until a slight dip this morning which it does when period is away to start to I am now convincing myself just from an app that it hasn’t worked. Does crazy things to your mind this process!

Bluebell155 · 10/08/2025 18:54

Im now 3 days post transfer and ever since transfer day i have been really really warm & crampy- but i think this is side affects from progrestone 😬 i keep trying to do stuff to keep me busy & then forgetting that im prob doing too much!!

FrostedFlake · 10/08/2025 19:04

@Bluebell155 I’m one day behind you! Other than being cranky and uncomfortable due to the injections and Clexane I don’t have any symptoms. But I never usually do so can’t read into it too much.
I was the same today and yesterday, tried doing less but have been out of the house on multiple walks today which isn’t quite like me. Need to slow down.

when do you think you will be testing?

Yeah ive been the same- hard to keep a balance. My clinic said to test 10days post transfer & then test again 3 days later. Its my first transfer so im thinking to wait till the 10 days which is a week today, next sunday. But dunno if i will be able to wait till then
When are you thinking of testing?

Pleasehelp200 · 10/08/2025 19:40

I have tested at 12 days post FET but only have a really faint line. Feeling very sad 😢

magpie234 · 10/08/2025 20:02

@Pleasehelp200 Sorry if I’ve missed something, I’ve only ever hard stark white negatives, but why are you feeling very sad at a clearly positive test?

OP posts:
Pleasehelp200 · 10/08/2025 20:14

Oh sorry, because I am pretty sure it should be a lot darker than this and is most probably a chemical

pinksheetss · 10/08/2025 20:17

@Pleasehelp200have you tried another test also? I’m not sure boots ones are as accurate but either way this is a positive, congratulations! I know the worry though so if concerned call clinic and see what they say maybe?

such a stressful time even after that positive isn’t it :(

Thanks clear blue is even lighter. I am now running through everything I've done in the part two weeks that could have jeapordised the process. I feel so mentally exhausted by it all

Pleasehelp200 · 10/08/2025 20:23

It is so stressful. Sending all fellow testers lots of luck and love. At least we are not in it alone

FrostedFlake · 10/08/2025 20:34

@Pleasehelp200 I’m sorry to hear you are going through a tough time when seeing a line should be joyful! Sending you loads of hugs ❤️
Believe me if it is a chemical pregnancy there’s nothing that you could have done that would contribute to it. Unfortunately we have had a few of them and we’ve been told that they are caused by embryos not being compatible with life.
If I was you, I would tell your clinic that you’ve had a light positive test and ask them to do a beta test to see what the levels are like.
This process can be so cruel! Please mind yourself while you are navigating this time of uncertainty ❤️❤️❤️

Rosieposy89 · 10/08/2025 22:30

I'm sorry @Pleasehelp200. Get a clear blue digital 💙

Hope19888 · 11/08/2025 08:57

Hi everyone

hope you are all well

we had our retrieval on Friday we had 15 , 8 had made it to today 4 of them are grade 3s looking at transfer on Wednesday.. anyone else struggling with the waiting and keeping everything crossed 😳😳 I’m not even sure if that’s good numbers or not

good luck to everyone it’s been much more emotional than I ever realised

CharChar88 · 11/08/2025 09:19

@Pleasehelp200 I usually get the clear blue early digital ones too. My clinic told me not to worry about the darkness of lines, if comparing you should see a difference week-week but not necessarily day-day. I hope you are ok, a positive result is amazing but I remember then being filled with another anxiety.

@Hope19888 I think we got similar numbers from my last fresh cycle a few years ago. Perhaps we even started with around 20
eggs collected and ended up with 4 blasts. I asked my consultant recently about this as I thought we should have had more blasts but she said that’s a good number… sorry I am not familiar with your grading, our clinic uses like “5AA” etc.

@Bluebell155 @FrostedFlake @pinksheetss how are you all? Sorry if missed anyone..
We are all chipping away day by day 😬. This is definitely my hardest transfer wait physically and emotionally 😩. I definitely had a lot more twinges with my successful transfers so feeling negative.

xx

pinksheetss · 11/08/2025 09:25

Hi @Hope19888the waiting is awful yeah and it’s just a constant wait until the next stage and then there’s even more wait!
We had 17 eggs collected and ultimately ended up with four embryos to freeze. First resulted in my daughter who is 3.5 now, second two were failed transfers and I have now transferred my last to try for sibling.

@CharChar88morning! 6dp5dt for me today and surprised I have made it this far without testing but I think I’m trying to put off it in case it’s negative and trying to save myself from that hurt especially as I know if I test early and it’s negative I will be online the whole time looking up stories of ones that turn positive later on.
I did cave and order some First Response tests on Amazon last night that are due to arrive today but I will be away from home all day so maybe tomorrow morning I will test ahhh.

Hope19888 · 11/08/2025 09:33

@pinksheetss you just hit the nail on the head everything is just another anxiety 🤦‍♀️ it’s avery fine like between staying positive and realistic. Trying to keep myself busy through the days just hoping we make it to blastocyst at this stage

CharChar88 · 11/08/2025 09:39

@pinksheetss haha that’s why I haven’t tested- although as I just posted “darkness of lines don’t matter” I know full well if my result was negative or very faint I would spend the next 2-3 days googling and driving myself insane.
our clinic tells us to test day 9, I ordered some tests today so think will test tomorrow night (day 8) before bed, just want to be able to have a cry with my husband if it’s negative 😭.
our situations are very similar, we had 4 blasts, I have my 2.5 year old and then 3 frozen. This is our second FET so one left

magpie234 · 11/08/2025 09:46

Hope everyone is holding up OK. I am getting close to our hopeful transfer day now. Blood test tomorrow morning to check my progesterone level (I asked for this) and then the procedure sometime on Wednesday. I am already anxious about trying to get my half-full bladder right 🙄

Morning ladies, hope you are all well. Have been away in the west of ireland for my birthday from Thursday. It served as a nice distraction. My god all the tablets ahead of this transfer and vitamins had my stomach in bits.
I have a scan tomorrow morning early to check the fluid has gone and hopefully little Frosties survive the thaw and we transfer about 11ish.

A nurse once very helpfully told me to empty my bladder approx 1.5 hrs before test and then just drink a bottle of water on the way to transfer

magpie234 · 11/08/2025 11:15

@Pleasehelp200 Thanks shall try that! I think mine was too empty last time but also scared of needing the loo and it hurting when they press down… and most of all peeing on the doc!
