Hi everyone. Thought I would make this thread for anyone hoping to have a FET in August!

I am waiting for my period to start hopefully any day now before embarking on a natural/natural modified attempt.

I have had one failed fresh transfer and have 3 frozen embryos.

Good luck everyone!

@CharChar88that sounds very similar but I’m praying this one works for you!

@magpie234i thought I had a full bladder for mine but for some reason the nurse couldn’t quite get the position right on the scan. I drank a bit more water and it seemed to have helped. I hate having to rush to pee also as I always worry I’m peeing embryo out ha

@Hopefull1981not long now. Wishing for the smoothest transfer for you!

Hope everyone is holding up OK. I am getting close to our hopeful transfer day now. Blood test tomorrow morning to check my progesterone level (I asked for this) and then the procedure sometime on Wednesday. I am already anxious about trying to get my half-full bladder right 🙄

Hey @magpie234 I’ve just had my final FET scan and my transfer is booked for next Monday 🙏🏻 I asked for progesterone bloods but they said no. I’m doing medicated transfer and I’ll be on lubion and pessaries so I’m hoping it’ll just be high enough with them. Im so anxious about the full bladder too!! I drink so much water on a daily basis I don’t know how I’ll cope haha. X

Pleasehelp200 · 11/08/2025 12:58

Unfortunately my test line is pretty much the same today so it looks increasingly like a chemical.

The thing I keep thinking is that I have ruined this embryos chances by over lifting. I have a toddler who I have needed to lift in and out of the bath and car seats. It was pretty unavoidable.

Does anyone know how likely this is as a cause?

I am upset for the outcome but my my main upset is definitely that I feel responsible

Gumpsie · 11/08/2025 13:52

I unfortunately tested negative on Sunday at 9dp6dt so I am out.
now I am questioning whether it’s worth going for a whole new fresh round or not 😅. I am lucky enough to have a DD from our ICSI round back in October 2020. I have very low AMH and not best quality eggs due to severe endo.
I am not sad that my FET didn’t work and have been quite unaffected by it 😥.

@Pleasehelp200 please please please don’t try and blame yourself if you are indeed having a chemical. When I spoke with the embryologist after my transfer, I said about lifting my daughter and she basically said if you’re used to lifting her then it’s not a problem. So it would be nothing you have done x

FrostedFlake · 11/08/2025 15:25

@Gumpsie I’m sorry to hear about the negative test!
I was a little bit like that during our last transfer. I think for us it’s a bit like we’ve been so so lucky to have our son from three rounds ago and the continuous negative rounds have been rough so I think I’ve become a bit numb to them.

when is your official test date? Do you think you might try again? I found by taking a bit of a break that has really helped me get back into it as it really messes with your head.

Gumpsie · 11/08/2025 16:33

@FrostedFlake my OTD is tomorrow. So it definitely won’t magically become positive. I am glad I’m not the only one to feel this way. That was our last frozen embryo.
I really don’t know if I’ll try again. I have the added complication that my daughter came really early (24+4 weeks) so I’m worried about having another pre term birth (we don’t know why she came so early) and of course she’s differing a few ill effects from that (she’s tube fed still due to severe reflux and is a little delayed, but she’s the happiest little girl and is slowly catching up with her peers).

I also have low AMH and not great quality eggs too so I’m wondering if it’ll just be a waste of money? I really don’t know what to do, I am on the fence about it all! I am also 35 this year so worried about egg quality getting even worse!

You are so young still in IVF terms though. Give yourself some time and then think fresh

CharChar88 · 11/08/2025 17:56

I am so sorry the transfer didn’t work @Gumpsie. iVF is torturous and brings so many emotions, sending love.

@Pleasehelp200 yes definately don’t blame yourself at all. I have a toddler and have been lifting and parenting her throughout (I think a few of us have young children here). I had a miscarriage in April and the consultant told me it’s like 90% certain there was an inherent chromosome issue with the embryo and nothing I could have done xx

Rosieposy89 · 11/08/2025 18:17

Hope everyone is OK.
I'm 4dp5dt and have had brown discharge today. I'm a bit panicky my period is coming as I also have cramps 😐

pinksheetss · 11/08/2025 18:40

@Rosieposy89positive thinking your way. Brown discharge was a good thing for me when I had my daughter it was implantation sign. It was around 10dp5dt I bled a bit

FrostedFlake · 11/08/2025 19:27

@Rosieposy89 I also think that could be a very positive sign. When are you thinking of testing?
my transfer was on Friday and I’m also feeling a little crampy today but I think I might be a day or two behind you. I never know if people count the day of transfer as day one or not.

FrostedFlake · 11/08/2025 19:28

Is anyone taking blood thinners? If so where do you inject? With three injections a day and so many bruises on my belly I’m really running out of space and my legs seem to be more sensitive to Clexane than my belly too for some reason.

Rosieposy89 · 11/08/2025 19:39

@pinksheetss thank you, that's so reassuring. I feel completely normal otherwise.

@FrostedFlakethank you, I do hope it is a positive sign. My OTD is 12dp. I'm.very conflicted about when to test. Last time, I waited until OTD to test and was completely devastated to get a negative result. I swore I would test early this time to prepare myself. However, I'm a lot more chill this cycle so will see. I could day one as day after transfer

Can you try your bottom?

FrostedFlake · 11/08/2025 19:45

Ive never lasted past 4 days as id rather prepare myself gradually than have the rug completely swept from under me on OTD. How I see it, it won’t make any difference to the outcome and I will be thinking about it non stop regardless so I just test 🫣
when was your transfer? Was it Thursday?

Rosieposy89 · 11/08/2025 20:01

@FrostedFlake yeah it was Thursday. That's a very wise way of looking at it. It's not going to change anything. I may test at the weekend, it's less stressful than the morning before work.

Bluebell155 · 11/08/2025 21:50

@FrostedFlake im switching my blood thinners between my thighs, right hand side of tummy & left hand side
Are you icing beforehand?? Found i havent really bruised when i have iced!

Bluebell155 · 11/08/2025 21:53

@CharChar88 feel soo crampy today and just really uncomfortable, trying to stay positive but i feel this is not good

FlatWhiteAnyone · 11/08/2025 21:53

@Gumpsie sorry to read your update 😔 Take your time, recover well first and then revisit and make decision. Sending hugs xx

FlatWhiteAnyone · 11/08/2025 21:56

@Pleasehelp200 nothing you did could cause chemical, don’t blame yourself!

pinksheetss · 12/08/2025 05:51

@Bluebell155cramps can be a good sign don’t let yourself get down on that. Hopefully means embryo is snuggling in tight!

7dp5dt for me and it’s almost 6am. Think I can’t sleep well. I was going to test today but now it’s time I feel like I can’t and don’t know how to cope if the bubble is burst but also I just need to know.

Bluebell155 · 12/08/2025 07:06

@pinksheetss im 2 days behind you and i feel like i cant test any day soon so i knkw what you mean. But maybe if you do test do you think that it will help you stop thinking about testing?

ForeverHopeful17 · 12/08/2025 07:18

Hi Everyone, I had my transfer yesterday afternoon and it was honestly the best one I’ve ever had. For the first time, I didn’t overfill my bladder so wasn’t in any pain and was just able to enjoy the moment. However I’m now dreading the wait ahead of me, I’ve taken a few days off work but have lots lined up to keep me distracted so hopefully that helps.

@Pleasehelp200i know it’s easier said than done but please do not blame yourself. You are not responsible if it truly is a chemical. Will you be doing a blood test x

@Gumpsieso sorry you tested negative. I was also the same as you in my last transfer, very detached and numb to it all. Definitely take some time to think about your next steps and of course discuss with your clinic.

@FrostedFlakehow are you getting on? I’m also on blood thinners and alternate sides of my stomach to inject. Luckily this is my only stomach injection as my PIO is in my bum. Last cycle I was on 2x pinion and Clexane and felt like a human pin cushion. Have you tried icing before you inject your leg?

Bluebell155 · 12/08/2025 07:34

@Rosieposy89 we both had transfer last thursday. My clinic said to test on sunday morning then test agajn 3 days later. How are you feeling today?

pinksheetss · 12/08/2025 08:20

I caved and tested and bubble well and truly burst, stark negative
I know some will say 7 days past might be too early still but I know deep down it’s not and this is our result. It feels so final as that’s all our embryos now and I’m unsure if we could spend the money on a whole other retrieval to go again.

sad heavy heart today
