Hi everyone. Thought I would make this thread for anyone hoping to have a FET in August!

I am waiting for my period to start hopefully any day now before embarking on a natural/natural modified attempt.

I have had one failed fresh transfer and have 3 frozen embryos.

Good luck everyone!

Hi Ladies, joining this thread as hoping for an August transfer.

I had a failed transfer in April and have had a hystrescopy since then with several polyps removed so really hoping for a positive outcome this cycle.

@Hopefull1981we’re cycle twins. I’m also on day 9 of meds with my first scan tomorrow and also going for a double transfer this cycle. Good luck with your scan tomorrow!

good luck ladies, hoping this is a lucky thread for us all x

Hopefull1981 · 31/07/2025 14:27

@ForeverHopeful17 and the same(ish) username. Hope your scan goes well tomorrow. I am super nervous even though I had no lining issues the last transfers. How are you finding the meds? I am now on 4mg of estrogen per day - this should increase to 6mg on Saturday and I am feeling very bloated.

FlatWhiteAnyone · 31/07/2025 14:28

@ForeverHopeful17@Hopefull1981good luck tomorrow with the scan!
I finally managed to find a clinic in Mallorca that will do beta pregnancy tests for me next Thursday and Saturday, which turned out not so easy 🙈 thought we do a holiday not to stress during tww

Hopefull1981 · 31/07/2025 14:32

@FlatWhiteAnyone Ahh thank you so much. Wishing you all the best with the beta tests. I'm glad you managed to find a clinic in the end, even if it wasn’t easy. Fingers crossed for some reassuring results. I completely understand what you mean about the relaxing holiday during the TWW not always being as relaxing as it sounds. I hope the sunshine helps a little.

FrostedFlake · 31/07/2025 16:14

@ForeverHopeful17 your handle sounds familiar and we had a transfer at the start of May so I wonder if I have seen you in the April thread.

I also have my first scan tomorrow but will be on day 9 so a day behind you both @ForeverHopeful17 @Hopefull1981

ForeverHopeful17 · 31/07/2025 18:42

@FrostedFlakeyes I knew I recognised your handle, did you do a stims cycle in January? All the best for your scan tomorrow hopefully your lining is nice and thick and you get a transfer date.

@FlatWhiteAnyonethank you! Glad to see you’ve found a clinic that will do your beta tests next week. How are you finding being PUPO? I would love to be on holiday during the TWW

@Hopefull1981Thank you! I always find myself getting nervous as well before a lining scan and same as you I’ve never had lining issues in the past. I’m not finding the meds too bad tbh, I just get the occasional headache from the estrogen tablets it’s the progesterone that gets me bloated usually. Hopefully we’ll be transfer buddies!

magpie234 · 31/07/2025 19:19

@FlatWhiteAnyone So exciting that your embryo is on board! Best of luck for test day.

@ForeverHopeful17@Hopeful786@FrostedFlake I am a little behind you all as my day 9 scan is Monday but fingers crossed for promising results for everyone tomorrow.

@CloudyIvy55 Ugh so annoying! Like someone else said could you use norethisterone to bring on your bleed?

I am trying to think of everything I could possibly do to give my lining its best shot this month and am about to go and down some pomegranate juice! Then have a burger for dinner as I felt I needed some red meat! Not quite the Mediterranean diet but it makes sense right? Drinking lots of water too!

Hopefull1981 · 31/07/2025 19:51

@magpie234 oh we are on the pomegranate bus too. My husband blitzes fresh pomegranate and strains it. I have done one a day and I hope it helps. My last transfer I was 6mm on first scan and needed to up the estrogen as it was slow to get to 8mm. The transfer was on day 23 in the end. I am trying to preempt that this time.

Hopefull1981 · 31/07/2025 19:52

Is everyone one the tablets? I am in 4mg per day (2 orally and 2 vaginally). Fun fun fun.

FrostedFlake · 31/07/2025 20:18

@ForeverHopeful17 yes! We did a full round in Jan and unfortunately had a miscarriage and then did another round in April. It’s crazy that both of us are still on the same threads! How have you been? How do you feel about going again? I really do hope it’s our lucky month and transfer ❤️❤️❤️

magpie234 · 31/07/2025 22:54

@Hopefull1981 Excellent dedication from Mr Hopefull there. Love it! I’ve just grabbed some bottled juice but it’s not from concentrate and actually not too sugary so hopefully worth a try. I like the taste too. I’d never tried it before today!

I’m attempting a natural cycle (may end up doing a trigger and progesterone pessaries but tbc). My first attempt at a FET got cancelled as I felt so rough on the meds. I was on 6mg of oestrogen a day - 3x 2mg Estrace pills. The Red Devils I called them! They gave me headaches and made me so nauseous. Hope you’re feeling okay on yours. Who the hell knows how my lining will be looking next week but I’m not sure there’s much I can do about it tbh. Hoping for the best!

Just left the first scan (Day 10), Lining is 6.4mm on average but was trilaminar so need to continue on the tablets for another few days. They were due to be upped to 6mg per day tomorrow anyway. More pomegranate for me… 🙃 Hope the scans go well today 🙌🏻

Bunnymum93 · 01/08/2025 10:18

Hi, I hope it's ok to join!
My husband (32) and I (32 in 3 days!) had our NHS cycle (freeze-all) a few months ago and have just started ovamex and evorel patches ready for our FET later this month.
We got lucky and made 10 frosties but I've never seen a positive test in 3 years of TTC so can't help but think the implantation stage is the problem. Trying to stay positive though 🙃
Hoping that sharing the journey with others will save me from going mad 🤞 xx

ForeverHopeful17 · 01/08/2025 10:40

@Hopefull1981same here, lining was 6.1mm so back on Monday for another scan. I’m off to Sainsbury’s to pick up some more pomegranate juice, I also drink raspberry leaf tea as that’s also supposed to help! When are you back for your next scan?

@FrostedFlakeoh no, so sorry to see it ended in a miscarriage 💔 I’ve been okay and tried to keep busy the past couple of months. Having the hysteroscopy has got me feeling more hopeful for this transfer and then the what ifs always creep in so just really up and down. What about you? How are you feeling? Are you doing anything different this cycle? Same here, I’m really hoping this our time ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you @magpie234scan went well back on Monday hopefully for my last monitoring scan. How are you feeling? Have you tried raspberry leaf tea for your lining? I drink this every night as it’s supposed to help.

Hopefull1981 · 01/08/2025 11:02

@ForeverHopeful17 I am back on Tuesday morning. All going well she thinks transfer will be tuesday week. Are you on the tablets? Does your clinic have a requirement on the size before starting progesterone? I am Cycle Day 10 so technically only had 8 days on the meds excluding this morning should it even be above 7mm at this point.

Mr Forever has gone out to get more pomegranate - double shots for me. I am trying to up the water intake too.

FrostedFlake · 01/08/2025 13:00

What does pomegranate juice do? Wonder if I should get some too!

just had my scan and my lining is at 11mm and one of the follicles is already at 18. So they are doing bloods and might have to do the trigger shot. Hopefully my hormones are within the range. Not sure if I’m ready so soon to trigger eek. Normally it takes us a couple of weeks of monitoring.

@ForeverHopeful17 not doing anything different TBH. But probably should. We’ve had three miscarriages/chemical pregnancies and they’ve put me on aspirin as well as steroids and blood thinner which I find extremely painful and I bruise every single time. What about you? It’s great that you’ve had the procedure done! Hopefully this will be the one for you guys! ❤️
We aren’t feeling as hopeful as the last couple of rounds as the embryos are not great grade. And if the great ones didn’t stick what hopes is there now. But I know it only takes one and even poor grade embryos as long as they are freezable have worked out for people.

@Bunnymum93 welcome! Congrats on 10 Frosties! That’s amazing! Has your consultant said anything around implantation and what you could potentially take to help things?

Hopefull1981 · 01/08/2025 13:15

@FrostedFlake Pomegranate juice is often used during FET cycles because it is rich in antioxidants and thought to support uterine blood flow, which may help enhance the quality and receptivity of the endometrial lining. I did it my last transfer. Are you on a natural cycle? 11mm at day 9 is amazing.

@Bunnymum93 Welcome :-) 10 Frosties is amazing. Have you done many transfers? I can completely understand how hard it is to stay hopeful when you’ve never seen that positive test, especially after so much time and effort. Are they doing anything different this time?

Bunnymum93 · 01/08/2025 13:57

@FrostedFlake thank you, it came as quite a shock as it was the first good news we'd had on the journey! Unfortunately not, perhaps because it's our NHS cycle, but I have a tracking scan on Friday so fingers crossed we'll know more then. Have you had much advice? Xx

@Hopefull1981 no, this is our first cycle! I think that's why I'm feeling so jittery as it's the first time in a long time where I've felt there's even been the potential of getting pregnant. I get my typical period symptoms about 3-5 days after ovulation usually so haven't even bothered to test for the past 2 years or so - at least I've saved money I guess 😂 where are you on your journey? xx

Hopefull1981 · 01/08/2025 15:23

@Bunnymum93 oh I understand. I had 7 Frosties - had 2 x double transfers and have a 2 year old. The last ones I have are average or fair quality, so stepping into this with a very little optimism, clinic said about 25%. Mine are not genetically tested so they could be abnormal.

it’s good to take it day by day, get the lining up to where it needs to be. Then worry about the thawing of the embryos and whether they stay the same and hatch or get downgraded. I hope to transfer by Tuesday week.

magpie234 · 02/08/2025 16:03

How is everyone getting on? Glad scans have been going well for you all. My first one is Monday and I’ve not been in clinic for a few months so am a little anxious. Just been for a walk to get some ‘gentle exercise’, got lost and it ended up being a 3hr hike so I’m hoping the uterine blood flow has been stellar today! Now very much sofa-based for the rest of the day, finishing off a book. BBQ with a side of beetroots for us tonight. Beverage of choice: PJ. All getting a bit silly but at least I’ll know I’ve given it a good go right?! Gotta laugh or I’ll cry 😂

Hey hoping on here as I will be having my FET on Tuesday ahhh
had my lining scan Tuesday just passed and it was at 8.1mm. I’m on a medicated cycle and the two unsuccessful cycles I have had before I have only just made 7mm or just under at same stage so fingers crossed it’s a good sign
the previous cycles were natural ones and I had to push to get a medicated cycle. My daughter who we conceived from first transfer was a medicated cycle.
3AA embryo ready to go on Tuesday so fingers crossed!

CloudyIvy55 · 03/08/2025 09:38

My period finally started this morning so starting meds for my first FET cycle tomorrow.

I had been a little frustrated as my period was a week late, but managing it well. Now we are starting tomorrow, the anxiety has hit me like a ton of bricks.

magpie234 · 03/08/2025 10:12

@CloudyIvy55 Great news it has finally arrived but I really relate to the anxiety taking over once it all feels more real and like oh this is happening now here we go again. I woke up feeling really anxious seemingly out of nowhere this morning after weeks of feeling fine. Sat with it and realised it was because I have had a long break and am finally back in clinic for scans tomorrow. We also have an appointment to discuss male factor with a separate consultant on Friday so it feels like a big week. I am feeling the pressure again.

@pinksheets Good luck for Tue! Great you got the green light after some disappointments. I am on a natural cycle so am hoping my first follicle and lining scan tomorrow (day 9) bodes well.

Hi all, joining this thread from the July one as my FET is looking likely (hopefully!) to happen in the next few weeks. I'm a first time IVF-er and here after recurrent miscarriage and then failure to conceive. We did PGT-A and have 3 euploid embryos in the freezer, one of which we will hopefully transfer in a couple of weeks. I'm doing a medicated cycle and I've done 3 weeks of Buserelin to downreg and I'm on day 2 of Progynova tablets. Is anyone else on them? They are kicking my ass. I feel hungover but without the fun of alcohol. Ah the joys of IVF!!

CloudyIvy55 · 04/08/2025 10:56

@magpie234hope your scan goes well today! Let us know how you get on. First injection and tablets done - perhaps feeling a little less anxious today. Haven't got my first scan until the 14th.
