IVF April 2025

Thought I'd start a thread for anyone starting IVF/ICSI in April! This is going to be round 2 for me, I'm currently waiting for my period to start so I can book my pre-treatment appointment and typical, I'm a week late with no signs of AF! Joys of PCOS and irregular cycles!

Be nice to have some company! 💛

@Clairebear1208 yes, from a practical and financial perspective it would be terribly hard and as you say, so high risk for you and them. You've been on such a roller coaster, hopefully everything will be nice and boring going ahead for you 🤣

@worldwidetravel2017 I think that was for me and not at all - I'm 34 (35 in July!). My partner is a bit older though at 41. And worth bearing in mind we have only ever had 4 embryos before (from three separate collections) and they all failed or miscarried so I can only assume they were not genetically viable although we didn't test - so the results can definitely fluctuate with each round. Great news that you're still in the game. And I've heard so many stories of mosaics working out too. How are you feeling about it? Do you have a plan for transfer?

I unfortunately had quite a huge bleed the other day and all my symptoms gone so probably out at the 5w1d stage, have a scan on Friday at the epu, they won't see me any earlier as I will be 5w6 days and they say this is even quite early for the scan to show anything significant, and as I have stopped bleeding and in no pain they have no rush to see me

Could it possibly be a SCH? They can be common, especially with IVF pregnancies. Symptoms can come and go, so not feeling anything for a few days doesn't necessarily mean anything sinister. but i can absolutely appreciate why you're worried - i think anyone would be. It sucks that the EPU won't see you before friday, i'm keeping my fingers crossed for you ❤

@worldwidetravel2017 I'm doing okay thanks, just really delayed as my period was a few weeks late (typical 🙄). I was on the June FET group though (now moved to the July!) And can see you've just had your transfer - best of luck to you 🙏 the TWW is the worst so hope it goes super fast too!

Not yet - cuz its super early - clinic want me to contact them next thurs when its official test day - then i guess theyll book 1 in for 2 -,3 wks after

I have am nausea and a bit ot fatigue but im doing ok
