Thought I'd start a thread for anyone starting IVF/ICSI in April! This is going to be round 2 for me, I'm currently waiting for my period to start so I can book my pre-treatment appointment and typical, I'm a week late with no signs of AF! Joys of PCOS and irregular cycles!

Be nice to have some company! 💛

Guys I just had another scan... absolutely petrified; it's now triplets! 2 babies in one sac measuring way behind and one baby measuring exactly on track! Consultant scan next wedneday

PixieJxoxo · 14/05/2025 15:20

@FancyGoose @waitingforourmiracle Thank you both!

OTD is tomorrow, so I think i'm just going to test at midnight and have that count. i can't believe my clinic make me wait 14 days!

@ClaireBear101 oh my goodness - that's absolutely amazing news, but I can understand the worry! Do keep us updated on how you're getting on! Crossing my fingers the smallest ones catch up with their sibling. Did you transfer two embryos or was it just the one?

Wow!!! Did you have one embryo transferred or two? Is it just a case of wait and see re the two measuring behind? So sorry, must be a really confusing and anxiety ridden time.

waitingforourmiracle · 14/05/2025 15:35

@ClaireBear101 WOW!!! I bet that was a shock!! Oh my gosh I'm praying for you everything is okay with all babies!! What a journey for you!!

we had 2 transferred but given my age (38), thought maybe we'd get lucky and one would take! Just crazy! I guess we'll know more when we see the consultant and we'll be 8 weeks 3 days then

Hi guys

Can you please stop tagging me. Wrong Claire and as didn't work out for me I rather not be brought back here each time.
Sorry I'm just not able.

Thanks 🧡

Keeping everything crossed for you, must be such a rollercoaster of emotions right now. X

camelinastorm · 15/05/2025 06:55

@Clairebear1208 oh wow congratulations, I'm sure that was a shocker please keep us updated, did you get a positive test early? I transferred 2, never imagined that one would split, you've got this 🦾

Timetotryagain · 15/05/2025 12:13

@Clairebear1208 oh wow thats insane!!

@PixieJxoxo did you test?

PixieJxoxo · 15/05/2025 15:17

@Timetotryagain I did! Been a hectic as back in the office too. I got a 2-3 weeks on a clearblue digital and a dark line on an easy at home test too. I spiralled a little bit (as i've had a chemical before), so I booked in a beta hcg test with a random clinic at midday. They blew a vein trying to get blood, but we got enough to send off, so hopefully should get those results tomorrow. I'm being mega cautious and still guarding my heart a bit. I'm obviously very happy, just quite scared at the same time!

Timetotryagain · 15/05/2025 15:45

@PixieJxoxo congratulations thats wonderful 💜💜 let us know what the beta says

waitingforourmiracle · 16/05/2025 09:40

@PixieJxoxo lovely news, congratulations! Fingers crossed for a good beta number xx

Thank you @Timetotryagain and @waitingforourmiracle!! I got my beta back and for 14dp5dt (so equivalent of 19do), it's 3089. The nurse said it's bang on gestation b/w 4-5 weeks, so a bit of a sigh of relief. Still terrified of a blighted ovum/molar/ectopic, so i might just go back on Monday to see the doubling rate. But then I know I'll still be terrified, so will want another beta a few days after that. The worry never ends...

camelinastorm · 16/05/2025 13:59

@PixieJxoxo where did you get your beta done out of curiosity as my hospital won't do them unless spotting, just planning things incase I get thelatbwished for positive

It was the London Pregnancy Clinic in liverpool street (about a 10 minute walk from the station). £65 for the bloods and a midwife consult and if you do it before 12:30, you get the results the same day. Also, I only booked it about half an hour before the actual slot, so seems like they have quite a few openings during the week!

Some incredible news on our PGT-a testing - six out of our seven embryos came back as normal. I actually can't believe it and have been crying non stop since (happy tears obviously!). Just can't believe its all gone so well for us this time. Still a way to go of course but I haven't felt this hopeful in years 🥹

And congratulations @PixieJxoxo , that's lovely news!!

And that's absolutely wonderful news! I'm so excited for you. Those numbers are SO good - 6 out of 7; those seem like some pretty amazing embryos (and odds!!) Do you know when you'd be able to start the FET prep?

waitingforourmiracle · 16/05/2025 16:01

@PixieJxoxo amazing! Thats really good news for your beta!

@FancyGoose wow that is incredible!! So happy for you!!! I bet we transfer around the same time if your going on your next cycle!

Thanks @worldwidetravel2017, keeping my fingers crossed for your results too.

And thank you so much @PixieJxoxo and @waitingforourmiracle - I'm still in shock I think. We have a follow up consultation on Thurs so will know more then but hoping we may be able to start with my next cycle in early June so if it works out then, yes think we'll both be around the same time! Depends how quickly my clinic can move but I'm desperate to go ASAP 🤣

Hi all so I stupidly tested yesterday (7dpt) no idea why, any way it's a faint positive, it's only a cheep home bargains one so don't think their sensitivity is very good 25 whatever they measure in, what do we all think it's very fair but there is definitely a line
