Thought I'd start a thread for anyone starting IVF/ICSI in April! This is going to be round 2 for me, I'm currently waiting for my period to start so I can book my pre-treatment appointment and typical, I'm a week late with no signs of AF! Joys of PCOS and irregular cycles!

Be nice to have some company! 💛

Wow!!! Did you have one embryo transferred or two? Is it just a case of wait and see re the two measuring behind? So sorry, must be a really confusing and anxiety ridden time.

We transferred 2. One split. The sonographer reckons the enbryo was busy splitting and then implanted later hence the sizes... is that even a thing! Who the heck knows! I think we won't know more for a few weeks but next scan is wednesday

camelinastorm · 17/05/2025 13:36

@Clairebear1208 so happy for you, we will be testing again next week as I have had a blighted ovum before think I will book and early scan to see if one or 2 have implanted, I had no symptoms at all literally tested as I was sure I was out had a cheapo sat in the cupboard and last night whilst hubby was here we tested (he is away all next week for otd didn't expect a line tbh especially as it's a cheap test at what point did you get your scan done

Hey guys!! So I’ve been a bit quiet on here just been an anxious mess waiting for my scan after my first scan was an empty sac then a chemical then another scan with an empty sac so was mentally preparing myself for a 4th one. When I heard the words everything looks good I just cried! With this cycle being the cycle I was going to cancel as there was only 3 follicles it’s crazy to think I had one put back and one frozen. I wish you guys all the best on your journeys and even if you only get a few eggs it can work!!! Xx

Bless you... its such a torturous process! Anyone that used to tell me it only takes one; i wanted to smack them but it is true! Fingers and toes crossed you relax a bit more and at some point enjoy it ❤️

Definitely true that no symptoms means nothing. I miscarried after being riddled with symptoms! Every pregnancy is different! Fingers crossed for next week but enjoy the small wins for now... it's all a step in the right direction

Our pgta results should be told to us in the next 5 working days

Sending luck, best wishes and baby dust to all ☆

Thanks @waitingforourmiracle
So I have done another today I think there is slight progression, think I need to invest in a sensitive test as these are only from sat of period at 25mlu/ml rather than 5 mlu/ml, can anyone else see progression

Congratulations @camelinastorm!! That's lovely news and wishing you all the best going forwards. I think the second one does look a little bit darker. Have you thought about getting a beta test, either with your clinic or you can get them privately? Might help your nerves while waiting for your scan as I think looking for line progression can drive you a bit crazy!

camelinastorm · 20/05/2025 08:06

@FancyGoose I've been looking for a beta, and I'm very confused as it's £90 for the test, but is this just for one test ? And you have to pay for the second? Very confusing as you need 2 48h apart to confirm progression, one test means nothing really as everyone's initial levels are different

FancyGoose · 20/05/2025 12:07

@camelinastorm yes, annoyingly you would have to pay for two to see the progression.

PixieJxoxo · 20/05/2025 12:53

@camelinastorm i don't know if you're london based, but London Pregnancy Clinic offer each test for £65, so a bit cheaper?

camelinastorm · 20/05/2025 15:08

@PixieJxoxo I managed to get in my EPU and they have have me a beta blood will have another on Friday to allow comparison fingers crossed it has doubled

camelinastorm · 20/05/2025 15:32

Devastated so my beta is 95 at 4 weeks they have said that's pretty low so don't have my hopes up for a sticky bean anyone had beta results at 4 weeks ?

Sorry to hear

worldwidetravel2017 · 20/05/2025 15:36

We are still waiting pgta results

FancyGoose · 20/05/2025 17:35

@camelinastorm so sorry to hear that. I'm hoping others might be able to share some positive stories for you. It's definitely something I've heard about before - people having low betas but having successful pregnancies. I think as you said it's whether it rises which is the critical thing so keeping everything crossed for you 🤞

camelinastorm · 20/05/2025 17:48

@FancyGoose yes they say anything over 50 is good but Google is a minefield and so many have 200+ it's just the constant worry isn't it, hopefully we double and we make this one

Alexm06 · 20/05/2025 19:10

@camelinastormi had a beta (well 4 to be precise as I was soo anxious) at 10dp5dt which I believe is 4 weeks which came back at 131 which I thought was low as it seems everyone else gets really high betas. Had another one at 12pd5dt which was 243.3. Anyways had my 7 week scan last week and all was good. As long as it doubles or near enough doubles I think you’re all good

FancyGoose · 22/05/2025 13:40

@camelinastorm are you having a second beta today?

@Clairebear1208 have you had another scan this week?

@worldwidetravel2017 any news on your pgta results yet?

Wishing you all great results 🙏🤞

Clairebear1208 · 22/05/2025 13:44

Hey everyone... yes we had a scan yesterday. Sadly the 2 babies in the same sac stopped growing! I'm kinda relieved but now worried about the one left! Does the worrying ever stop?
the one growing is 8 weeks 2 days ( i should be 8 weeks 3 days) and heart rate of 179. Hoping and praying xx

FancyGoose · 22/05/2025 13:47

@Clairebear1208 ah that must be really hard, bet there are a lot of conflicting emotions which must make it difficult. Sounds like things are looking really promising for the remaining baby though so that's great news although I can definitely understand the anxiety. Wishing you all the best.

Yes definitely conflicted but i literally don't know how we would have coped with 3... risk is so much higher with 2 never mind 3 plus they were identical
sharing everything!
thank you so much xx
