Thought I'd start a thread for anyone starting IVF/ICSI in April! This is going to be round 2 for me, I'm currently waiting for my period to start so I can book my pre-treatment appointment and typical, I'm a week late with no signs of AF! Joys of PCOS and irregular cycles!

Be nice to have some company! 💛

So I'm unfortunately out. Despite bleeding my lines kept getting darker and yesterday hcg was 100.98, so I was holdling out some hope, but today it has fallen to 48.9 so yeah... Third time charm did not work for me. I'm having a call with my doc later, see what she says and what and when to do with the one frosty we have. Sad 😢

I'm so sorry. How devastating for you. Fingers xd the last embryo is the one that takes.

waitingforourmiracle · 06/05/2025 10:04

Loving reading all the good frozen embryo updates!

@Hopesforamiracle sorry to hear you've been so poorly, hoping for a speedy recover, lots of love for your journey going forward x

@BakinABaby I'm really sorry, this is such sad news. Sending big big hugs xx

@BakinABaby so sorry to hear your update, life can be so unfair and cruel. Look after yourself xx

camelinastorm · 06/05/2025 12:24

@BakinABaby so sorry to hear this, devastation doesn't even come close in these circumstances, take time look after yourself, I had a major blip after my last early miscarriage at 7 weeks, fully gave up, but am transferring my very last frozen chance this week, I hoped I wouldn't get to the last one but the world had different plans.
Once again so sorry xx

@PixieJxoxo my nhs clinic didn’t check but my private clinic did. My nhs consultant said there’s no agreement on how much progesterone is enough and checking isn’t necessary. Ive only done a natural modified fet and have been on two cyclogest pessaries (nhs) and one (private - because my levels were high enough). I know my nhs clinic does the same dosage for medicated transfers too.

Thank you! That was super reassuring to know that some NHS clinics don't check before transfer. I got the results of mine through via the app and thankfully it was at 190 units (the nurses said they wanted at least 100, so very relieved).

Just want to add for anyone who may be feeling disillusioned.
Our 1st and 2nd retrievals were a disaster. Got one day 3 embryo on 1st ... mmc at 7/8 weeks. 2nd round zero and 3rd round 4 mature eggs, 3 fertilised and 3 blasts; all very good/good grading!
i was very keen on pgta but Dr didn't think there was a need! Who knows about genetics of those embryos but we transferred 2 and 2 have stuck. Had a scan at 6+3 and both had a heartbeat(157Bpm), one stronger than the other. Obviously early days and we are nowhere near out of the woods!

FancyGoose · 09/05/2025 10:03

@ClaireBear101 that's amazing news, keeping everything crossed for you!

Thank you ladies! The sonographer seemed to struggle with my retroverted uterus and the 2nd baby is very slow so she didnt seem hopeful. I know measurements are very difficult at this early stage but trying to remain positive with the strong heartbeat of the other! Anxiety still there as strong as ever!

SamVan · 09/05/2025 14:07

@Clairebear1208 congratulations!! So happy for you ❤️❤️❤️

worldwidetravel2017 · 10/05/2025 12:46

Hows everyone ?

I just want the pgta results

TamanNegara · 11/05/2025 20:20

I'm almost certain my transfer hasn't stuck so I'm finding things tough.

Couldn't resist doing a test today, day early. BFN.

Sorry for disappearing as abruptly as I appeared on this thread x

FancyGoose · 11/05/2025 21:56

@TamanNegara so sorry to hear that, it is truly heartbreaking to go through. Look after yourself and sending you all the luck for your future treatment x

Timetotryagain · 12/05/2025 12:25

Update on me as its hard to follow sometimes: egg retrieval in march, 6blasts, 1 pgt normal, transfer planned for end of june (my clinic makes tou wait 3 bleeds before transferring)

@TamanNegara so sorry thats really devestating :(

@worldwidetravel2017 any news from pgt yet?

Clairebear1208 · 12/05/2025 14:50

@TamanNegarai'm
so sorry... this path is not easy x

Alexm06 · 12/05/2025 18:24

Hey guys!! So I’ve been a bit quiet on here just been an anxious mess waiting for my scan after my first scan was an empty sac then a chemical then another scan with an empty sac so was mentally preparing myself for a 4th one. When I heard the words everything looks good I just cried! With this cycle being the cycle I was going to cancel as there was only 3 follicles it’s crazy to think I had one put back and one frozen. I wish you guys all the best on your journeys and even if you only get a few eggs it can work!!! Xx

worldwidetravel2017 · 13/05/2025 07:56

Having a bit of a mare here
Have a lump ( in right side of abdomen) - not far from belly button

Saw pharmacist and rang 111 last night

Awaiting a gp appt for today

Guna ring clinic once they are open too

Just wana know for sure what the ' lump - is
Its near a bruised area
But not directly a bruised area

waitingforourmiracle · 13/05/2025 11:28

I'm sorry @TamanNegara it really is unfair :(

@Timetotryagain I'm due to start my meds for transfer in June but think transfer is more likely to fall in July, I came on yesterday but we decided to wait till next month as we're away in Cyprus next week for a wedding so didn't want to spend the week thinking/worrying about medication!

@Alexm06 massive congratulations!! That really is the best news, I wish you a healthy pregnancy! X

@Alexm06 glad that things are looking promissing!!

@worldwidetravel2017 sometimes diabetic people get little lumps under the skin where there have been lots of injections, could it be the same from the ivf injections etc?

@waitingforourmiracle thats a good idea to postpone as you want to be able to enjoy your time away for sure! Are you doing a medicated cycle? I am doing a natural cycle

Yeah - apparently its linked to the blood thinners...
Apparently its rare but happens sometime

PixieJxoxo · 13/05/2025 17:00

@worldwidetravel2017 that's good you got it all checked out and have peace of mind with it!

@Alexm06 brilliant news! So pleased for you!

I'm currently 12dp5dt and the exhaustion is insane - so hard to concentrate at work. OTD is on Thursday, so we shall see. I keep thinking I have loads of symptoms (a bit of nausea, backache, the intense exhaustion, enhanced sense of smell) but then I can convince myself it's all down to the hefty dose of progesterone my body is getting every day. I guess I'll find out in a few days in any case

worldwidetravel2017 · 14/05/2025 11:59

Who else is waiting for pgta results?

waitingforourmiracle · 14/05/2025 12:04

@Timetotryagain I'm doing medicated as my cycles are irregular, my cycle this month has been 35 days so praying it's the same again next month and I'm not waiting for AF for weeks to start meds!

@PixieJxoxo you have done SO well not testing!! Fingers crossed they sound like good symptoms! I have everything crossed for you!

@Alexm06 congratulations!!

@Clairebear1208 hope everything is still going okay for you too. Do you have another scan lined up?

@PixieJxoxo fingers crossed for you, the tww is agonising!

@worldwidetravel2017 I'm still here waiting for PGTA results too. They told me to expect a call sometime this week but nothing yet. I'm finding it hard and struggling to concentrate at work!!
