Hi all, looking to start a chat with anyone transferring February or March time. I have my baseline scan booked in next week and if all goes to plan then I'll start treatment & have my second frozen transfer on 4th March. My first FET in September 2024 sadly failed 😞
Any transfer buddies?

I'm waiting for my period to start so I can book in for an FET this month. Been following along with everyone and keeping my fingers crossed for you all.

Same here, its so nerve wrecking even waiting for my period to start. I am questioning whether I am doing enough preparation, my diet isn't as healthy as I was hoping it would be etc.....and then....the other side of me just says "it is what it is, it will either stick or not" don't worry too much..argh

CleverGoldBalonz · 04/03/2025 18:51

@Cesas @FlowersRainbow oh gosh the dreaded wait! I am about to do my first fet in a few weeks eek!

Did you guys fill your calendar with activities? Haha I am trying to prebook activities and events just to try and keep myself occupied, although I know its easier said then done.

Good luck! ♥️ When I had my fresh transfer in early Dec I was super busy with work and the run up to Christmas and actually found it quite overwhelming - even though I kept myself busy I still over analysed every little thing and perceived ‘symptom’ which on top of everything else was too much for me! This time I am going to try and do the opposite and take a bit more time to relax, but hope you find a way that works for you!
Do you have a date for your transfer?

Willard89 · 04/03/2025 21:49

Hello ladies, great to see you here :-)
I hope it will all go as smooth as possible for you!
@Willard89 is your transfer today? Thinking of you, best of luck!

Edited

Just had transfer today. Lost two embryos during the thawing process unfortunately. Now the dreaded TWW. How’s everyone holding up?

@Willard89 congratulations on your transfer! How are feeling? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! When are you planning to test?

I'm sorry to hear you lost 2 embryos - did they clinic explain why it happened?

Not much to report from my side. I'm waiting for my scan which is two weeks after the OTD. So another two week wait. This whole fertility journey is just one big wait! I don't have many pregnancy symptoms which worries me a bit. Just some tiredness, thirst, tender breast and little bit of nausea but I might be imagining it. I'm pretty sure that when I was pregnant before I had more symptoms at this stage. Hopefully that's not a bad sign and as they say, every pregnancy is different.

BellaRosex · 05/03/2025 06:09

@GreenLemonade These are exactly my symptoms as well. Also nervously counting down to scan day. X

Thank you ❤️ I am feeling pretty emotional today. Transfer day was a lot. My first transfer was a very simple and enjoyable process however, the doctor I had this time just made it very difficult. I had her once before, during stims last year when I had OHSS, and she was very rough and sore with me while doing the transvaginal ultrasound, so I was nervous when I knew it was her. I gave her the benefit of the doubt however, it was that difficult the nurse offered me gas & air. I’m just glad it’s over but feeling sad I lost the two embryos during the thaw - no explanation as to why.

I get you about the whole waiting thing, it’s just awful the amount of anxiety and waiting that we have to experience. I hope the next two weeks until scan day fly in for you.

My OTD is 16th March however I will test on the Saturday 15th I think.

Oh that sounds tough, must have been so hard on you to loose 2 embryos and also to have a stressful transfer.
I really hope it was a lucky embryo and it will stick. Be kind to yourself now, TWW is hard too, but I’m trying to take it a day at a time.

Easier said than done though, I know. I’m trying to live as normal, but I am definitely more emotional and tired, so I seem to be more „homebound” than normal.
Started feeling breast tenderness, hoping it’s a good sign.

I hope all you other ladies waiting for period/transfer/OTD/scan are doing okay!

Cesas · 05/03/2025 18:17

I'm 10dp5dt and I've tested negative today so think that's me out unfortunately. This was our third transfer so hoping the next one will be the one 🤞

Good luck to those still waiting for results and transfers, hope they go well x

uhhuhyeahok · 05/03/2025 20:16

Ah no @Cesas sorry to hear that.

My period started so I start taking the medication today. Transfer date provisionally the 21st. Here we go!

I’m so sorry to hear that @Cesas . Take care of yourself, and wishing you luck with the next transfer.

@uhhuhyeahok so the journey begins!
what medication are you on? Oestrogen?

uhhuhyeahok · 05/03/2025 21:53

@SkyeLight yep, Oestrogen tablets and then cyclogest later. Not done an FET yet, only a fresh transfer with a low quality embryo so this is new to me.

SkyeLight · 06/03/2025 19:56

@uhhuhyeahok I am just after my first FET so I’m not much more experienced!
But I found this forum great for questions and support.
I’m still on oestrogen and progesterone injections, that is not going to change any time soon if things go well.

BellaRosex · 09/03/2025 10:50

Hi all,

It's been a little quiet here so just wanted to check in to see how everyone is doing?

Xx

KenIsAnAccessory · 09/03/2025 11:11

Hey @BellaRosex was literally just thinking the same thing so popped back and saw your post. All ok here so far 🤞 I have a scan Thurs lunchtime to see if we have a heartbeat. How are you?

I hope everyone else is doing ok 🤞🤞🤞

We are in exactly the same boat! I also have my first scan this Thursday at exactly 7 weeks. Fingers crossed for both of us that everything is progressing as it should be 🤞🏻🙏🏻.

I've been feeling constant nausea which is pretty awful but hoping it's a good sign 😩 x

Willard89 · 09/03/2025 21:17

Hi all, I’m 5dp today, absolutely no symptoms bar sore boobs which is 100% the progesterone pessaries/medication etc.

I spotted for almost the whole TWW during my first FET which failed, so I am relieved I’m not experiencing any spotting this time round. It’s driving me crazy because I know that although I’m not spotting, it so totally could be another failed FET. It’s absolute torture 🙈 OTD is next sunday but I’m definitely testing on Saturday.

good luck to you gals going for 7 week scans ❤️❤️

BellaRosex · 09/03/2025 21:25

Ah I know how torturous the wait can be but the sore boobs sound promising! I've got everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🙏🏻. I also spotted previously and this is the first time I haven't so feeling relieved. That said, I'm still running to the loo 20 times a day and wiping just to be sure. I can't imagine ever being free of those worries.

Anyway, all the best for when you decide to test! And well done for resisting so far 😊

Have you spotted on previously failed cycles? I totally get you with the going to the toilet, I am constantly checking to see if there’s blood. Im always so terrified to look at my underwear etc, it’s torture. I then think if I’m lucky enough to get a positive test then the anxiety will only really begin!!!
I just can’t even begin to think about testing, I don’t want my bubble burst for as long as possible 🙈

My last FET, I got a positive pregnancy test but started spotting and it ended in mc at 6 weeks (around the stage I am now hence the anxiety!)

I completely understand about not wanting to test. Just enjoy the little bubble you're currently in x

I completely understand how anxious you are around this time. Just take it every hour/day at a time and I hope and pray that you see that beautiful heartbeat at your scan ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear about Cesas. Best of luck for the next transfer.

I’ve stayed away because I’ve been finding things a bit overwhelming and felt like I couldn’t keep up with all the messages (not that anyone’s done anything wrong, I mean I’m generally overwhelmed).

My seven week scan is in a week and I’m dreading it! Turns out you trade the TWW worry for scan worries! I wish everyone waiting for OTD or their scan the best of luck.

At the same time; I’m sorry we’re all on this stressful journey. Let yourselves feel what you feel because it’s definitely tough even though ivf is an opportunity.

GreenLemonade · 10/03/2025 15:59

I'm sorry to hear about your result @Cesas . I hope you'll have better luck next time!

@KenIsAnAccessory , @BellaRosex - how exciting (and terrifying!) that you have scans this week! Fingers crossed!

To all of you waiting for OTD - best of luck!

I had my scan today at 6w+5d and everything is looking good 😃Baby is measuring slightly ahead and has a strong heartbeat😍

Now it's another TWW until the next scan but I think I'll try to relax from now on, my embryo was PGT-A tested and this plus the scan results should give us a good chance to get to a happy ending🙏
