Hi all, looking to start a chat with anyone transferring February or March time. I have my baseline scan booked in next week and if all goes to plan then I'll start treatment & have my second frozen transfer on 4th March. My first FET in September 2024 sadly failed 😞
Any transfer buddies?

Thank you! @BellaRosex

I have underactive thyroid too, but too soon to think about it yet!

Are you on medication to control it? My clinic said it's best to have it under control before a transfer (although it wouldn't have held anything up as they didn't even test it!)

BellaRosex · 28/02/2025 10:01

Haha snap! Also underactive thyroid and my fertility clinic had told me to double my dose of levothyroxine (without any blood tests!) What happened that made you go to ante natal? Wondering if I should do the same!

My scan is booked in on 17th March (hoping I make it that far) 🤞🏻🙏🏻❤️

@kenisanaccessory I got this wrong! I'm also booked in on 13th!

KenIsAnAccessory · 28/02/2025 10:17

Yes, I've been on medication for it for 18 years. It was tested before Christmas and totally fine. It just tends to go wacky in the first trimester. Can be linked to growth issues/miscarriage if not sorted. Luckily it's only slightly out and Ive been able to increase my dose already this morning so hopefully not too concerning.

KenIsAnAccessory · 28/02/2025 10:19

@BellaRosex because I have a history of thyroid going wonky in first trimester I always get straight into GP once I've had a positive test to get a blood test to check it. She sought advice from endocrinology who have asked to see me in antenatal clinic. First time I've been seen so early though, usually just managed via GP.

SkyeLight · 28/02/2025 10:25

@KenIsAnAccessory great they are on it straight away.

I’m on medication for thyroid too, I remember it was increased during my first pregnancy. Will ask my GP to get it checked if things go well.
Transfer booked for 2pm, I need a walk to keep me sane!

KenIsAnAccessory · 28/02/2025 10:32

Good luck @SkyeLight 🤞

Maybe have a chat with the reflexologist and see what they say? If it'll worry you I'd say don't do it, it's probably not going to have a negative impact but its a stressful time so if it will take away from you feeling relaxed then don't add to any possible stress!

SkyeLight · 28/02/2025 15:12

Hi girls, all done, my OTD is the 13th, it will be a very long 2 weeks!

Yay well done! Hope you're feeling OK! Sending sticky baby dust your way. Are you planning to test early or hold out until OTD? X

Hi all,
Loving this supportive group, how lucky are we to have a sisterhood like this!!!

I am about to start my first fet journey this month. Period is due to arrive in a week and bit, so that will kick this crazy/tiring/emotional and everything in-between journey. Doing a natural modified.

What did you all do to prep for your transfers. I am currently doing alot of walking, kinda watching my diet and doing accupunture. My accupunterist also advised me to take aspirin.

KenIsAnAccessory · 02/03/2025 10:58

Hey @CleverGoldBalonz I did similar- gentle exercise, good diet(ish!), pomegranate juice, couple of Brazil nuts a day, kept my feet warm once started the drugs to thicken lining and ever since. Plenty of protein and hydration. Just usual stuff really to keep healthy plus some old wives tales too. Maccy fries after transfer and a slice of pineapple core every day 😄

Orangewillow · 02/03/2025 13:12

@CleverGoldBalonz I've been doing yoga, beetroot and pomegranate juice (not my favourite!) and a fair bit of walking throughout the lead up to my FET and since.

On day 5 post transfer now and feeling really nervous. Not going to test until Friday next week and the thought of doing the test is making me so anxious already!

Cesas · 02/03/2025 18:11

I'm 7dp5dt today and feeling so nervous too! I think we might test on Thurs but not 100% sure as our test date is a week tomorrow!

I'm the same, been walking a lot, trying to take it easy and eating pineapple and Brazil nuts. Haven't eaten the most healthy as we've been off this week and left like I needed to be kind to myself x

FlowersRainbow · 03/03/2025 21:11

Jumping in late here but my first frozen transfer is booked for Thursday 6th 🤞had a failed fresh transfer with our best grade embryo in December so feeling nervous about this one. Our test day is our wedding anniversary so I am hoping that is a good omen! Good luck and baby dust to everyone else in their tww!

uhhuhyeahok · 03/03/2025 22:20

I'm waiting for my period to start so I can book in for an FET this month. Been following along with everyone and keeping my fingers crossed for you all.

SkyeLight · 04/03/2025 15:15

Hello ladies, great to see you here :-)
I hope it will all go as smooth as possible for you!
@Willard89 is your transfer today? Thinking of you, best of luck!

SkyeLight · 04/03/2025 15:21

TWW is so hard. I’m on 4dp5dt and I really wish I knew where I stand. I have absolutely no symptoms, only headaches if I don’t drink enough water (and I am drinking lots) - but that’s just a side effect of progesterone. And sore butt from injections.
I will probably do first test on Friday… days seem so long, no matter how busy I am my mind keeps coming back to it.

SkyeLight · 04/03/2025 15:34

I have just realised I had 6 day embryo transferred. I might test sooner! 😂

GreenLemonade · 04/03/2025 16:12

Good luck to everyone having a FET or testing this week!

I second this! Best of luck to you all! 🙏🏻🤞🏻❤️

Orangewillow · 04/03/2025 18:37

@SkyeLight I'm planning to test on Friday too. I'm holding out until the official day, which is getting harder to stick to!

Driving myself a bit mad with symptoms, I know anything I feel could mean either outcome, it's brutal. Mainly though I've got muscle pain and bruising from the progesterone infections, and some cramping/pulling in my lower abdomen, especially today but really trying to remind myself that's likely a meds side effect more than anything else
