Hi all, looking to start a chat with anyone transferring February or March time. I have my baseline scan booked in next week and if all goes to plan then I'll start treatment & have my second frozen transfer on 4th March. My first FET in September 2024 sadly failed 😞
Any transfer buddies?

@Feliciacat no, the clinic do eff all. 🤣

TSHconfusion · 26/02/2025 12:07

Has anyone else found the need to pee about 40 times a day since transfer? I think it’s the high progesterone!

Willard89 · 26/02/2025 12:23

Hi all, I had my lining scan yesterday and all good to go. Transfer booked for Tuesday 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 how is everyone holding up?

BFN on a frer for me today sadly. Think it would have shown by now.

@paintfairy sorry to hear this, hope you're doing as OK as can be and looking after yourself. Sending love

juju90 · 26/02/2025 16:20

@TSHconfusion thank you! I really hope March will be my month!

I had egg collection and I will have the transfer on the NHS, but I paid separately for the PGT-A testing. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to do it, because I know not all hospitals let you run private tests on the embryos. It made sense for me because of my recurrent miscarriage history. And I am also really grateful we did it, as I had 33 eggs collected (I have PCOS) which turned into 7 day-5 blastocysts with good grades but still, after PGT-A testing, we found out only 3 of those are viable!

Thank you again for your help and I can't believe I have just discovered this mumsnet forum. It's so nice and supportive. Love it.

TSHconfusion · 26/02/2025 16:29

@juju90 that was good you were able to get the testing done separately. I’m sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Fingers crossed this transfer will be the one for you. Is this the first ivf transfer you will have done?

we got 6 embryos from our cycle but didn’t test any so this is our third transfer and we transferred two this time

SkyeLight · 26/02/2025 17:21

@paintfairy I’m sorry to hear your news, I hope you’re kind to yourself, sending you massive hugs.

@Willard89 that’s brilliant all is looking good! Will your clinic do any more scans/tests before the transfer day?

My transfer is on Friday, and I only get the scan on the day of transfer. I hope it’s going to be okay.
I am crazy thirsty at the moment, I wonder is that progesterone injections?

Orangewillow · 26/02/2025 19:44

@Willard89 which progesterone injections are you on? I'm on prontogest and now you've mentioned it I have felt quite thirsty today!

Feeling quite stressed and emotional about all after my levels came back low, they're better now but still not where they want them so I'm back for another progesterone test on Friday. They tested after I'd only done 1 of the injections so I'm hoping it's already improved since then, but it's just another thing to worry about not being great, as well as my crappy lining!

It was me mentioning injections - mine is just called progesterone, it’s progesterone in sesame oil (yum 😂).
I suspect it’s that what makes me thirsty (I’m taking other tablets too, but I don’t think they would do that). So much that I wake up at night from thirst!

It has been a real rollercoaster for you @Orangewillow , I totally understand the emotions and fear of something going wrong again. Sending you lots of strength!
It’s great though that your clinic keeps testing your levels, rather than waiting. I hope the injections will kick in and all will be good! 🤞🏻

@Willard89 it really is not an easy a journey!
I try to take a day at a time, so many unknowns and possible hurdles on the way.

It’s absolutely awful and I feel I’m completely detaching from reality during this second FET. My first FET failed last September. I threw everything at it and fully believed it would work. I don’t think I fully processed it for a while. I can’t believe I could potentially be in that same position again in a few weeks. I’m terrified because I spotted for most of my TWW the last time, which, I felt gave me a bit of hope because I thought it was implantation bleeding. I think I’ll be so so anxious this time every time I go to the toilet 🥲

Oh it is a draining experience, I’m sorry it didn’t work last September, it must have been very hard and understandably you’re more anxious now.
But each round is different, so try not to compare to last time - keeping fingers crossed it will go well!

juju90 · 27/02/2025 17:06

@TSHconfusion thank you for your message and I wish you the very best for your transfer 🌟

Yes, it is my very first IVF transfer. I have a doctor review next week where I believe I will be told what's the best protocol for me and hopefully I will start it with my next cycle. I was advised to do the testing just because of my many pregnancy losses. The doctor told me that, on average, 60-70% of blastocysts test as genetically viable. However, for us, only 3 out of 7 were viable, so I’m really glad we went through with the testing and I can see why he wanted for us to do them.

I was also told that couples have 95% of a successful pregnancy with 3 transfers, so I have everything crossed for you!

Willard89 · 28/02/2025 08:04

Has anyone any experience/thoughts on reflexology? I had a treatment this week for the first time during IVF treatment, transfer is on Tuesday. I booked in again for day after transfer but now I’m thinking maybe I shouldn’t have? I can only think it would be so good for me relaxing but I wouldn’t want to hinder anything.

Hi, I did accupunture before and after. I would make sure your reflexologist is specifically experienced in reflexology for fertility and that they are aware of what stage you're at so they can avoid any pressure points that could cause an issue.

Assuming they are experienced, I'd say go for it especially if it relaxes you. Good luck x

@kenisanaccessory Just wanted to check in as it has been a while. I hope your OTD went well x

@Willard89 I've been doing reflexology with a fertility specialist for about a year and find it really relaxing and I like to think it's helped support whatever stage I'm at with the IVF! I'd agree that you'd want them to know about fertility and tailor accordingly

KenIsAnAccessory · 28/02/2025 09:55

@BellaRosex yes, all well here. Ridiculously I am at ante natal clinic this morning as have an under active thyroid that has gone a bit wacky. Feel silly being here at 5 weeks but at least they are all over it and trying to keep me healthy. Scan scheduled with my fertility clinic for the 13th of March. How are you?

Best of luck for the future @paintfairy, I hope you find peace and happiness

SkyeLight · 28/02/2025 10:01

@paintfairy thank you for you support here, wishing you all the best.

@KenIsAnAccessory it’s great you are well looked after! Did the clinic check your bloods?

I am waiting for a call from the clinic, it’s my transfer day. Waiting is so hard!

Haha snap! Also underactive thyroid and my fertility clinic had told me to double my dose of levothyroxine (without any blood tests!) What happened that made you go to ante natal? Wondering if I should do the same!

My scan is booked in on 17th March (hoping I make it that far) 🤞🏻🙏🏻❤️
