Just had my call I have 11 embryos all being frozen and great gradings which I'm really pleased about. Waiting to find out when transfer will happen I would love it in a couple of weeks but I have a feeling they will tell me be cycle after

My clinic just rang and I have EC on Friday 11am!
Trigger shot tonight at 11pm. Feeling excited but also nervous! They are saying it's most likely going to be freeze all for me, so I will probably have to wait for the cycle after this one.

@Gnatalie16 Amazing numbers! Hopefully you’ll never have to do another egg collection with all of those! How are you feeling now?

@Cloclo93 @EvaA17 @AnnieStar12 Thank you - have just slept for 4 nearly hours! So they haven't said a definite freeze all! They are scanning on Friday to see how things are and how I'm feeling. I imagine freeze all will be best but we will see what Friday shows.

Amazing well done!! I may be on the FET with you if we both freeze all. I hope it goes well on Friday - it really wasn't as bad as I anticipated but understand the nerves 💖

@AnnieStar12 great news! You can join the waiting club! There’s been so many messages on here 😂 I’m really pleased to hear about everyone’s collections and scans 🤍 sounds like it was a good day all round.

My symptoms are less pronounced this week so I’m worried if there was any embryo created it might not have stuck 😭 I overthink everything. Today has been hard 😂 I’ve been quite emotional and I am so tired despite a good 8 hours sleep. I’m ready for Friday, whatever the test shows so I can get it out of the way 😂

@2tuxedocats Oh bless you, it’s so hard isn’t it. I’ve had a day like yours too - I woke up feeling really negative like it’s gone. It’s not a nice mindspace to be in. My symptoms are gone today too really. I’ve had to really talk to myself to tell myself there’s nothing I can do to change anything. I really wish I didn’t feel like this and could just stop worrying and enjoy it!
Not long till you find out either way though! I’m hopeful for you. It’s normal for your symptoms to go, lots of women don’t even have any (need to tell myself this too 😂)

@HopefulllHolly can you ask your clinic for a beta blood test ? I got two and it shows the HCG amount in the blood and it reassures you the numbers are still increasing and on track , if your clinic don’t do these can you get one privately ? I dunno if any of the places that do early scan would do beta blood test ? Hope you’re ok, it’s totally normal for symptoms to come and go so try not worry.

@hopefullsosbry I asked and they don’t do them. I’ll have a look about getting one privately. For now I’m just going to test every week and make sure my lines are still there. That’s all I can do really. I know I’m being really silly and should be happy and I am, but there’s this huge shadow of doom that I really didn’t expect. You always just dream of getting a positive and then forget about all the worry after. IVF really does you dirty!

Ah that’s shame they don’t offer this @HopefulllHolly , I was just thinking of something that might help put your mind at ease at bit .. as I know the feeling too well .. hope you can relax and try not to worry to much ✨

@hopefullsosbry that’s a good idea, I might ask my clinic for future reference. Thanks for the pep talk @HopefulllHolly I needed that!! It’s really difficult to sit back and enjoy I imagine but I guess try and take each day as it comes 🤍

Hey so feeling a little disappointed. We got 2 eggs, was hoping to get 4 with having the 4 follicles. I know that we were told at the very start if we got even 1 egg it would be amazing but it’s hard when you hear everyone getting lots more eggs, in the clinic and on here but I just have to be hopeful that the 2 we got are strong and healthy.

They said they will give us an update tomorrow on how fertilisation goes and then provisional transfer on Monday.

I was actually pretty aware during egg collection for the start of it and it was painful but then I don’t remember going back to the recovery room but I was awake and aware straight away lol

@Clairehbear oh gosh .. I have never heard of anyone being awake ?! I was put to sleep .. I really hope it’s the same this time again , that musta been horrible for you .. could you see everyone etc or were your eyes closed but just not 100% asleep ??

@Clairehbear I know it’s really hard and you always compare yourself with people who are lucky enough to get lots of eggs, but it doesn’t always mean they end up with lots of embryos! Your two eggs could both fertilise and both make it to day 5, and someone who gets 12 eggs could end up with none, so you have a chance. I cried at my first scan when I only had 4 eggs but I was chuffed with my 3 eggs from collection, and despite the odds one of mine made it through! Just look at @AnnieStar12 who just had her one egg make it through. My embryologist and consultant both said they’d rather someone with 2 great eggs than 10 not good quality ones, and your 2 eggs will have been gobbling all that oestrogen up and will be lovely I’m sure.

I did think people were just saying “it only takes one” and it’s “quality over quantity” but they were absolutely right. Keep the faith! ☺️ keeping my fingers crossed and hopes high for your little embryos to grow ☺️

@Clairehbear I'm sorry, it is disappointing when you hope for more. But you have 100% more eggs than I did, haha! Also, ironically I am in a better position this cycle with one egg collected than I was on my previous cycle where I got 3 eggs as that time I got a low grade embryo and this time I got a top grade one so have slightly better chances of it working.

@HopefulllHolly You are not being silly. If I get pregnant I will be a total mess, I have already looked up all the extra tests I will do and I will probably just pay for weekly private scans for the first few weeks. It's a really intense time is early pregnancy, so I just want to say I totally relate to how you feel and you should do whatever will make you feel better and just find solace in the fact we can't control what the outcome will be. But remind yourself that the vast majority of pregnancies lead to healthy babies so do hold on to that too!

@Hollielouise thank you!! Ahh yeah if we both do have freeze all might see you on another thread in a few months time 😁 I'm just hoping after sedation I don't feel anything and get a nice sleep when I get home haha.

@Clairehbear I know it's easier said than done but please try not to worry about only having 2 eggs, everyone's body is different and every egg is different, and these two eggs may be the strongest ones and may give you two strong embryos. Also, can't believe you felt everything and were aware!! Eeeek. You're so brave.

I was given the sedation but I was just aware at the start I don’t remember it all so I must have been out for part of it but I remember the nurse holding my hand then my fiancée said as soon as I was back I was wide awake and remember all of that. He was hoping I was going to be loopy lol 😂

My clinic just sent me a timelapse video of the embryo growing over 5 days, incredible to watch how it all works in there!

@HopefulllHolly and @AnnieStar12 i know I’m just hoping I get 2 eggs that make it to embryo stage it’s just the horrible fear! My partner has to work tonight as well so I’ll be by myself but I’m hoping I’ll just sleep and then my mum is coming up in the morning so hopefully that will take my mind off things until we get the call.

@AnnieStar12 Isnt it amazing!! Mine had like a smiley face in the cells it’s so cute. I watch it every day! If our embryos work imagine having that to look back on 🥹🥹

Thank you for the sympathy and understanding. It’s like a 3 week wait no one tells you about that’s worse! I have been off work Monday to weds this week so it’s probably not helped. Back tomorrow and Friday and getting my hair done so I’ll be more distracted then.

@Clairehbear a nice dinner and your favourite tv show on and an early night for you! Luxury! ☺️ I slept for 12 hours the night of my collection ☺️
