@HopefulllHolly yeah I must start taking the Coq10 as well then. Thanks for that!!
We normally eat whole foods so hopefully getting the nutrients from that.
We plan to start the process from August as we have a cruise booked for end of June.
We are due to get married next year but if this is successful which I pray that it is, we will push the wedding out.

@Feelingmindful this is so helpful!! I was just about to order a multivitamin so I’ll be sure to look for that!
We are going private, so between vitamins and cost of all this, it’s allll money. It will be so worth it though to get a BFP. We haven’t had a positive pregnancy test so far!!

HopefulllHolly · 21/05/2024 15:44

@Sineadttc I use Wild Nutrition multivitamin and I think they are the kind that @Feelingmindful suggested. I love them! All naturally derived and don’t make
you feel sick if you take them on an empty tummy. I also drink the marks and Spencer’s gut shots every morning, which are good for your gut bacteria. ☺️ All the supplements are expensive but not as expensive as lots of IVF rounds, so that’s how I justify it!
Congratulations on your wedding! And cruise sounds lovely! I need to book a holiday - we had planned to go to my brothers wedding in Malaysia in November so were saving ourselves for that to go for longer, but our first cycle of IVF has (so far!) worked, so we can’t go now as it’s a Zika virus country. Probably will book for Greece in September again!
Great you’ve got a good plan to go ahead with ☺️☺️ good luck!

I'm very behind on all the messages! Thanks to everyone who replied back about follicles growth etc the I'm taking a dual trigger tonight for EC Thursday morning 😁 injection free day tomorrow 🥰
@AnnieStar12 when will you have your transfer??
@HopefulllHolly I'm sorry to read about your past losses 💔 I'm praying this is a sticky little baby 🤞 when is your 7 week scan ?

HopefulllHolly · 21/05/2024 16:55

@Cloclo93 Eeee exciting times! Have a good day tomorrow with no injections! How are you feeling?

I haven’t had any losses - I think you got messages mixed up maybe ☺️ - I’ve just had a long long time of no pregnancy whatsoever (6/7 years!) so this little bean is very much wanted and longed for. My 7 week scan is on 6th June, so two weeks on Thursday. It can’t come quick enough! I thought the waiting in IVF was hard but waiting for this scan is by far the most difficult part for me, I just want to know it’s ok in there 🥺 I should really leave the group but you’re all keeping me sane and I want to see how you all get on, invested now!

@Sineadttc welcome 👋 I’ve been taking pre pregnancy multi-vitamins. Diet wise I changed to the med+ diet a couple of months ago; I lost 2 stone via Slimming World to be eligible for NHS treatment but lost another stone on top of that to give myself a better chance. I’ve been happily losing about 1/2 pound a week (my BMI is still categorised as overweight 🤪) or maintaining my weight. I was getting at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, or two 30 minute sessions when I was able to but since procedure I’ve dropped down to gentle walking. I hope that helps!

I am so unbelievably tired this week. It feels like the week is dragging too 😮‍💨 I’m tempted to test again but I don’t want to go behind my wife’s back 🙈

AnnieStar12 · 21/05/2024 18:00

@Cloclo93 oooh, good luck with the trigger. I’m waiting for the dreaded call tomorrow morning to find out if my one egg has made it to blastocyst. If it has I’ll be having it transferred at 11am.

@HopefulllHolly yes, I’m also feeling very invested in everyone’s journey on here. Dying to know how everyone gets on - it seems like this week is busy with scans, collections and transfers.

HopefulllHolly · 21/05/2024 18:13

@2tuxedocats You’re doing so well not to test! Exciting times you’re almost there!

@AnnieStar12 I know you’re at one of the really scary hard bits now. Really hoping you have some good news tomorrow morning! I have faith in that little embryo! Maybe there’ll be a few of us who only got one embryo that it works for - that would be amazing! 🤩

Ive been off work as I have a week of holiday I need to use by the first week of June or I’ll lose it, and being off has not helped keeping me entertained! Though it has meant lots of rest and sleep - I keep waking up at 1am and being awake until 4ish, and then waking up again at 5:30/6. So I’m tired. Been having some cramps today but only mild ones, so I’ve been trying to rest all day, but I’ve been left with my own thoughts 😒

Feelingmindful · 21/05/2024 18:45

@Sineadttc no worries. Omg yes - I have stopped counting how much I have spent on all this ‘extra’ stuff so I am all for sharing what I can from it - at least I’m then getting my money’s worth! I am telling myself all the extra money I’ve spent on acupuncture, the nutritionist, additional test and supplements is why all 9 eggs that made it to day 5 are of freezing quality to justify continuing with it.

We had a BFP yet either. I think I had a chemical pregnancy when we first started trying but I had not tested so cannot say for sure. It’s been approx 6 years since starting on this journey and every delay that could have happened has happened so I decided to focus on doing what I can to increase my chances.

Congratulations on your wedding. All the wedding planning will hopefully help keep your mind distracted from all of this.

Feelingmindful · 21/05/2024 18:55

@HopefulllHolly The nutritionist recommended Biocare’s pregnancy multivitamins which I’ve been using. I have just looked at Wild Nutrition’s multivitamins and I actually quite like the ingredients list - I might switch to this when I get through the ones I’m on.

PurpleRayne89 · 21/05/2024 19:28

@AnnieStar12 Best wishes tomorrow. I feel you will definitely get some good news.

HopefulllHolly · 21/05/2024 19:30

@Feelingmindful Yeah I use the wild nutrition fertility support and I’m going to switch to the pregnancy ones once I’ve had my scan. I get them on the subscription and it works out ever so slightly cheaper but they are still quite spenny! I really like them though!

OP posts:
Sineadttc · 21/05/2024 20:06

@Feelingmindful thanks for all the help I just ordered the wild nutrition fertility support for women and will up the dosage for Coq10 to 600mg

where are you on your fertility treatment now?

HopefulllHolly · 21/05/2024 21:01

Good luck for transfer tomorrow @AnnieStar12 🥹 rooting for you!

And good luck to all you ladies having collections tomorrow morning! Hope the drugs are good and you have the results you’re hoping for! 🤞😊

I’ve been awake since 5:30 this morning. Egg collection day today for me! So nervous just hoping to get some good quality eggs! We stayed in a hotel last night as the clinic is 3 hours away and have to be there for 8:15 at the latest for collection at 9!

good luck to all the others getting egg collection today as well. Fingers and toes crossed for us all 🙏🏼🤞🏼

HopefulllHolly · 22/05/2024 06:58

Good luck @Clairehbear ☺️ It’ll be over before you know it!

Seasidegirll · 22/05/2024 07:21

Panicking about my collection today!! I had such a bloated tummy yesterday, I was really uncomfortable all day, it really hurt to walk etc but this morning I’ve woken up and I feel completely fine?! I’m worried I’ve already ovulated!! Google tells me that that only happens in 1% of people but my brain is on overdrive so I’m freaking out a bit!!

Good luck @AnnieStar12 @Clairehbear @Hollielouise x

HopefulllHolly · 22/05/2024 07:32

@Seasidegirll Stay calm! Very very unlikely to have happened! Good luck today, it’ll all be fine. ☺️

Look forward to hearing your egg numbers today all! ☺️

And @AnnieStar12 hope your little embryo is a fighter and you’re going ahead with transfer this morning ❤️

hopefullsosbry · 21/05/2024 13:13

thanks for tagging me in the groups @HopefulllHolly

@EggsFrozenNow hi , sorry you are having such a tough decision, have they retested the sperm since the last test ? I have heard lifestyle changes can help boost the sperm so things may have changed ?? Sorry I am just curious as to what embolization is ? My DP also has simular numbers but we didn’t get anything other ICSI I’d recommend? We didn’t really get an explanation of what it means etc ? Hope you’re ok and can both decide what will be the best decision for you.

@hopefullsosbry We haven't retested sperm, last time DH tested was in March, but that's a good idea thank you, I will ask the clinic now. Embolization is supposed to be this less invasive procedure to fix varicocele, which my DH has and andrologist believe is impacting sperm stats. Our current consultant suggested that DH go see an andrologist after reviewing his sperm info

@HopefulllHolly Yes you are absolutely right. Unfortunately consultant said ICSI cannot reliably bypass the issue, at the end of the day they can't see on DNA level and are only judging by exterior appearance

@AnnieStar12 Best of luck today!!

@EvaA17 It totally is... sometimes I wonder if it makes it more or less stressful to be a fertility doctor, as so much is not in your control/with no clear causal relationships between things

Clairehbear · 22/05/2024 07:59

@Seasidegirll try to stay calm hopefully it’s all ok and your collection goes well for you. What time is it at? I’ve just gotten to the clinic now

EggsFrozenNow · 22/05/2024 08:01

Just started stimming last night, so today is only the second day of us properly interacting with the clinic support team, and it's been mistake after mistake, 1) they somehow didn't send my perception to the clinic and we only realised it right before the clinic closed, luckily they had my meds in stock but we had to wait there for more than half an hour (was at work), 2) also gave us wrong address for the pharmacy, then 3) the injection instruction link they sent us didn't work (they gave min. instruction on during the teach), and 4) this morning my husband arrived at the lab 7:30 to take blood test requested, only to realise that they didnt send the blood form and no one was picking up calls at the clinic...

I wonder if anyone else has similar experience at their clinic? We had similar experience during my first failed IVF in Jan, at the time we blamed that particular service specifically, but now it's all happening again and it feels like bad admin might be a fact that we 'd have to accept?! It is frustrating as we both have pretty demanding jobs and it's not super easy to fit everything in, and more importantly, if they are so sloppy how can I trust them to handle our eggs and sperms....sigh....

EggsFrozenNow · 22/05/2024 08:03

Best of luck girls!! @Seasidegirll @Clairehbear

HopefulllHolly · 22/05/2024 08:05

@EggsFrozenNow Ugh very stressful! I don’t have a clinic support team (not sure what that is?) - our treatment has been great. Had one mishap after our first scan on stims where they had to give us more stim drugs and told us they would be delivered, then we left and they called straight away saying we should have collected them from reception. But other than that the admin side has been brilliant and attentive, so no, I don’t think yours is common and you might want to raise it to nip it in the bud. Sorry you’re having more unnecessary stress!

Seasidegirll · 22/05/2024 08:10

Thanks for the good luck messages ❤️

@Clairehbear oohh, not long to wait for you! Mines at 1pm so I’ve got ages. The clinic is 2ish hours away and parking is a nightmare so we are going to get going soon, don’t want to be worried about traffic etc!

Gnatalie16 · 22/05/2024 08:17

Good luck for those today with egg collections or embryo transfers exciting times!

Just had a call my clinic wants to see me this morning for a scan to check everything is okay, I feel okay just a little sore but I think my OHSS is going?! But also started my period this morning. Will get my call from the embryologists later this afternoon to find out how many embryos we got that made it to blastocyst I'm excited but nervous 😬
