Hi, couldn't see a thread for June yet so thought I would start one.

I'm on long protocol so actually starting down regulation on 28th May, egg collection not scheduled in until 8th July.

I am on NHS and this will be my first round. Was referred less than a year ago now and have managed to loose 2 and a half stone to get my BMI down.

Anyone else due to start around June?

Hi @CakePigeon30
Im planning to do a round starting end of June. I’ve had two rounds already, one failed and one ended in miscarriage so really hoping third time lucky!

CakePigeon30 · 12/05/2024 22:08

@Blossomofhope fingers crossed for you and sorry to hear about your miscarriage xx

Hi both, wishing you lots of luck!

We have 3x embryos in the freezer from first round of IVF last month but couldn’t do a fresh transfer due to moderate OHSS. Feeling much better now and counting down the days until we can start our medicated natural FET cycle on approx 1st June.

FlutteryButtery2 · 16/05/2024 18:26

I have EC on 29th May and go in for implantation 3rd June 🤞🏻
start stims tomorrow and am feeling a bit nervous about it

Quickdraw23 · 16/05/2024 20:03

Hi everyone,

I am due to start meds for a “short” protocol in mid-June. Just waiting for cycle day 1 at the moment which is due sometime next week. It will be my second egg retrieval. I had one last year and three embryo transfers sadly with no positive.

very best of luck everyone x

CakePigeon30 · 16/05/2024 20:27

@Sierra26 good luck. How long will a medicated natural cycle take?

OP posts:
CakePigeon30 · 16/05/2024 20:36

@FlutteryButtery2 not long now! Good luck with the stims

OP posts:
CakePigeon30 · 16/05/2024 20:37

@Quickdraw23 how long does short protocol last?

OP posts:
Quickdraw23 · 16/05/2024 21:10

@CakePigeon30 the one I am doing doesn’t really feel that short! It’s 7-14 days of norithesterone (sp?) starting on cycle day 19, and then wait about 5 days for a withdrawal bleed, then 12 days of stims then egg collection then 5days til transfer, then about 12 days until test day I suppose! About 5 weeks start to finish I think.

Quickdraw23 · 16/05/2024 21:11

Last year I did a “mild” cycle at a different clinic, and that was just 7 days of stims then egg collection. That did feel short! But also didn’t work ☹️

CakePigeon30 · 18/05/2024 15:42

@Quickdraw23 isn't it strange how every clinic is different

I start long protocolfor ICSI on the 29th. This is my second round, no eggs collected first time round on short protocol. I only managed 3 follicles and ovulated before my egg collection. I was told that was really rare so hoping this round goes better as we can't afford to try again.

FlutteryButtery2 · 24/05/2024 11:17

Hi everyone just checking in
I’m a week into stims with ec on Wednesday
For those who have been for an EC before what should I take with me?
The clinic have advised taking snacks as they don’t have much to offer so was thinking some rich tea biscuits and a drink
But is there anything else I should consider taking?
Do you bleed after?
I’ve got my second tracking scan tomorrow so I assume they’ll go through this with me then but I’m not going to lie, I feel like I’ve sort of been left to get on with it a bit which is tainting it all.
Had a couple of days where I could just sit and cry but I’m assuming that’s the hormones 😬

Hope everyone is ok!

❤️

Sierra26 · 25/05/2024 07:48

Good luck@FlutteryButtery2 ! You won’t need to take much else with you.

My EC was a bit of a factory line (nhs…). I had a fair bit of bleeding after and the clinic didn’t even offer me a pad - so defs pack some! I bled for 2-3 days and had a mixture of post op pain, constipation and OHSS for a week ish after.

I was only awake for about 30 mins before they sent me home so just had time for a quick biscuit and a cup of water. I was looking forward to reading my book but didn’t have time 😂.

Best advice is REST when you get home and the next few days. I didn’t do that and wish I had.

CakePigeon30 · 25/05/2024 10:47

@GwenH82 we start around the same time. I'm 28th.

@CakePigeon30 good luck on starting your first round today. Xx

GwenH82 · 28/05/2024 08:01

@FlutteryButtery2 hope you are doing OK, is your egg collection tomorrow?

FlutteryButtery2 · 28/05/2024 08:41

Thank you everyone!
I feel a bit rough today, had a migraine yesterday so slept most of the afternoon, I’ve gotten up this morning and feel a bit blurgh so gone back to bed
Am hoping it’s just all the hormones and follicles etc

Yes EC tomorrow - going to be an early start but worth it 🤞🏻

Anyone else got EC this week?

xx

CakePigeon30 · 28/05/2024 08:56

@GwenH82 thanks you too for tomorrow

@FlutteryButtery2 hope al goes well

Hey! Can I join in please? I am just out my first round of IVF, where I had 5 x embryo's but none of them ended up in a baby 😪I had a missed miscarriage on my first transfer in September at 8 weeks, and 3 further failed transfers (the last being a double transfer that also failed!)

So I find myself back to the start and about to embark on my second round of IVF! I have a planning appointment on Tuesday with my consultant to review the last round, and plan for success with the next. Anyone else on their second round? Hopefully be starting stims end of June

@FlutteryButtery2 I hope your EC went well today! let us know how you got on and hope you enjoyed the BEST sleep ever. That's the bit I am excited I get to do again 😂

How's everyone else / where is everyone else in their journey?

FlutteryButtery2 · 29/05/2024 17:25

Thank you it did (I think)
we got 5 eggs so waiting on phonecall tomorrow to see what’s what
I was heavily heavily sedated, felt some things as was a difficult retrieval - which we kind of expected.
Sent home on more meds - gels, patches, tablets and pessaries - am hoping this is normal?! Seems a lot but there we go

Got a migraine on the way home so fell into bed and slept for a couple of hours, just taken ALL the meds and pretty much ready for another nap 😂
Am quite uncomfortable but am assured I’ll be pretty much back to normal tomorrow 🤞🏻

Accept the pain meds ladies! Peeing is quite uncomfortable

CakePigeon30 · 29/05/2024 17:31

@GCS34 welcome. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage but fingers crossed this cycle is the one.

@FlutteryButtery2 glad it went well!!

I picked up my medication yesterday, thought I would have the first injection at the same time but been asked to start Monday instead - I've actually booked back in for them to do it for me as I'm worried about the first one! Are the injections horrible?
