IVF/ICSI June/July

Hi, couldn't see a thread for June yet so thought I would start one.

I'm on long protocol so actually starting down regulation on 28th May, egg collection not scheduled in until 8th July.

I am on NHS and this will be my first round. Was referred less than a year ago now and have managed to loose 2 and a half stone to get my BMI down.

Anyone else due to start around June?

Hi everyone, I had my egg collection today and have to start cyclogest tonight. I'm sure the nurse said to take 2 x pessaries tonight, she said she's follow up with instructions but hasn't. From tomorrow I need to do one in the morning and one at night.

Has anyone had similar? I'm sure she said do two but I'm doubting myself now. TIA.

@BirdIsland Probably too late but I was told to take two cyclogest on night of egg collection so that sounds right!

Hi I've been on the pessaries now for over a week and I just had to take one in the morning and one in the evening wasn't told 2 on the night after egg collection I only took one.. you could always give the clinic a call.. hope your feeling OK after.. how many eggs did you get? Saying that makes us sound like chickens 😆

Thanks @Mumiialfie26 and @JenRi, I was almost certain they'd said 2 but couldn't be certain so did 1 - when they called this morning they confirmed 2 but said it didn't matter too much and I should just carry on doing 2 a day now. I will trust my memory in future!!

They got 6 eggs yesterday, 3 fertilised so now it's just a waiting game until Thursday to see how they progress. I have a fresh transfer booked for Thursday afternoon so fingers crossed until then.

How is everyone doing?

Wow this feels like a bit of a blast from the past even though it wasn't actually that long ago. I posted in here about the first round of IVF which led to total failed fertilisation even with ICSI and 19 mature eggs... huge shock and knock back. However we did another round in September/October with some tweaks which went much better, we got 7 day 5 blasts. 1 fresh transfer failed but then a FET worked, 14 weeks pregnant currently 😊

How is everyone else? I imagine quite a few are much further along? And I'm aware for some it may still be ongoing or not worked out. Sending lots of love to all!

we had 6 fertilise none survived past day 6 which meant failed transfer. Still haven’t gotten around to our second round yet, would’ve been our due date on Wednesday - his sister just had a baby and I’m totally crushed
it’s not her fault what’s so ever and I know that but still

hopefully we’ll do our second round in August

@strawberrylaces12 ahhhh amazing news!! So pleased for you. How’s the first trimester been? How was your 12 week scan?
we ended up having our top two Frosties from the round in July transferred in October and I’m now 20+2 weeks pregnant. Had my 20 week scan today and she’s perfect and all forming great. Just got to go back as couldn’t check her spine as she was lay on it so get another cheeky look in 2 weeeks.

Will you find out the gender at 16 weeks? Congrats lovely.

Was the not getting round to it due to money, emotionally, or other stuff? Obviously don't answer if you don't want to!

Did they say what (if anything) they may tweak the next time? Best of luck for August (if that's when it'll happen). How are you feeling about it?

Thank you! The first trimester was thankfully pretty good, quite tired and anxious (about the idea of something going wrong) but thankfully only a little bit of sickness. The 12 week scan was all good thanks and just had my screening results back as all low risk thankfully.

I think we'll wait until the 20 week scan but I'm convinced it's a boy 😂 so we'll see! I'd be over the moon with either.

So glad the scan went well, I bet it'll be lovely to see her again in a couple of weeks. How have you been feeling so far in the second trimester? Xx

I’m not ok at present - but I don’t want sympathy or pity, just want to cry and get it out in my own way/time
Its just so up and down

Money, weight, work, life stuff, clinic moved goalposts again so a combination of stuff but hopefully August will be our time.

Upped the gonal - F and changed the other injection (which I can’t remember the names of 🤦🏻‍♀️😂) and I’m having a general anaesthetic for egg collection

I’ve got a scan next month as I’m getting a lot of discomfort/pain in my right side again - the good side

just starting to think I should’ve save my money and not tried or just gone for the refund scheme 😬

@Rebekah77 awww is this your frostie from the July round? Sorry you’re feeling poorly from it. Which round has made you unwell? Have you had a fresh round since the summer? Xx

@FlutteryButtery2 thank you my darling. And so much luck for when you’re ready. You deserve it!! And it’s always hard getting to an anniversary of some form. Hopefully you and your partner have something nice for Wednesday.

5 weeks later still feel like death but hoping the next couple months be ready for FET

@strawberrylaces12 think I'm in the August Watsapp group with you...didn't realise we were originally on the same thread!!!

@FlutteryButtery2 feel for you as our first round didn't make transfer either, but I only had two eggs. We upped the meds from the beginning I was on the highest and left longer between trigger and egg collection. I got 9 eggs second time but still only ended up with 2 fertilised. They both made it though and currently 13 weeks. I'm sorry you are feeling it at the moment, but fingers crossed August is your time ❤️❤️❤️ xx

That’s great news @Rebekah77 did you get many Frosties!? Fingers crossed for March / April. Apparently fets are more successful in the spring / summer months according to my clinic! Mad

@CakePigeon30 congratulations!’ How have you found the first trimester and have you now had your scan?

Two left in the freezer .. thinking I’m going to need to do another round asap

still feeling so unwell from January think I’ll need a few months before any FET

First attempt in June cancelled after first scan. Second attempt resulted in 6 eggs collected mid August. 5 fertilised. 5AA fresh transfer on day 5, this Friday will be 29 weeks 😊

Congratulations @Zeeha!! that’s awesome. Do you know what you’re having? I’m 21 weeks this Saturday and currently being beating up by her as I type this 😍 the feeling never gets old does it. How has your pregnancy been so far and you’re officially in the 3T!! Xx
