@ASGIRC we got some from a ‘naice’ charity shop in Barnes, which were an absolute steal! But second hand is actually a really fab idea, I’ll have a snoop on eBay. Otherwise I’ll get the 12 bundle on Amazon and try them out. If they’re good I can get more and have them delivered next day. 40 sounds like a good number for us too.

@IVFfirsttimer91 There are also so many different types of reusables!
If you have one close to you, go to a reusable nappy shop. That way you can talk to them about the different types, and sometimes they have "lending kits", so you dont even have to buy them to start with, you borrow a kit to try out!

I know they exist in the UK, less common in Portugal!!

IVFfirsttimer91 · 04/10/2023 18:57

@ASGIRC That’s so useful to know!! I’m going to look that up now, I had no idea they existed. Thank you 😊

ASGIRC · 04/10/2023 19:01

@IVFfirsttimer91 Im hoping to find one, even if just to see all the different types, and ask for advice!
Because some come fully prepped, others you need to put in the absorbent inserts, some need folding, others dont. I swear, this one website gave me sooo many options I was completely lost! LOL

But theres time!

A friend of mine had a 1,5 year old and she LOVES reusables. She keeps buying different prints, and says shes gonna miss them when he stops using them! LOL

IVFfirsttimer91 · 04/10/2023 19:04

@ASGIRC there is actually a place not too far from me, so I’m going to drag DP there with me at some stage to go and check it out with me 😂. Great recommendation!!

ASGIRC · 04/10/2023 19:12

@IVFfirsttimer91 Amazing!!!! I think thats the best way, before you commit to buying anything!

IVFfirsttimer91 · 04/10/2023 19:14

@ASGIRC absolutely! I’ll let you know how I get on and what they recommend!!

DP is fully up for going next week 😂 he has just started painting the nursery so he is fully in baby mode now.

ASGIRC · 04/10/2023 19:20

@IVFfirsttimer91 Ive just found one shop near me as well, but they only sell their own products, so they are EXPENSIVE. But I can go check it out, talk to them, see the types of nappies they have, and then go and buy those second hand online! LOL

IVFfirsttimer91 · 04/10/2023 19:24

@ASGIRC great idea!!! If you get any tips do share!! This is all suddenly feeling very real now 😂😅

ASGIRC · 04/10/2023 19:26

@IVFfirsttimer91 Same for you!!!!

IVFfirsttimer91 · 04/10/2023 19:28

@ASGIRC i shall :) will hopefully go sometime in the next couple weeks

Hi ladies, hope you're all doing okay?

I had my cervix length scan this morning, think I said I would let @IVFfirsttimer91 how it went. Had an internal for the length measurement which was all good (44.3mm) and then she did an abdominal scan after and I got to see baby 🥰😍 she said I don't need any further cervix length scans which makes me nervous but I could always book a private one.

Has anyone had their 16 week midwife appt yet? If so, did you get to hear heartbeat?
