@DauntedAF - Sorry, remind me of your days past transfer? Looking at my tests now and there is barely any difference that I can tell between the early days. It's only looking at a week plus together that I notice the increase in the line. Got everything crossed for you lovely.

@DauntedAF - Also, sorry multiple posts from me this morning, the digital being positive is amazing. They're not sensitive at all!

@Olivia199 Your reply actually made me tear up a bit, thank you! You've nailed exactly how I'm feeling!

First scan is booked for 31st Aug, I'll be 7 1/2 weeks by then. The clinic haven't said anything about any appointments to check my blood or anything before that so all I can do right now is wait and hope that baby is still there and developing properly on scan day. I've been googling like crazy and seen a load of things about people going in for regular blood tests and having early scans, but I'm assuming they're not doing that stuff for us because we're low risk? (I'm 35, never had a MC and our infertility was unexplained - no endo or anything like that)

Also haven't really had any symptoms yet, other than boobs are swollen and nipples are really sore but that's been the case since I started the progesterone so I don't know whether it counts lol.

beehappy19 · 13/08/2023 08:16

@Olivia199 could I be added to the new thread please

i forgot who asked but I’m due April 10th

@EllieCatMom I completely relate to this! It’s so hard. I’ve been testing loads and worrying about line profession. I also keep thinking I’m having an ectopic. I’m sure for me though it’s because I’ve been told previously I’m at high risk of them so I’m terrified and every little cramp I’m in full panic mode! My husband says the same to me but it’s very difficult not to.

loulamay · 13/08/2023 08:31

Count me in for the new thread. Although another BFN this morning on 6dp5dt so I might not be staying with you all for long!

Olivia199 · 13/08/2023 08:37

@EllieCatMom - Oh bless you lovely, I totally understand. My clinic used to do one blood test as standard but to my surprise this time they've changed the policy and now only do it in the event of a problem. Essentially they said it's not needed as a positive pregnancy test says it all and extra numbers can cause unnecessary stress. Don't think they realise the stress is there either way. 😂

The early scan is standard though I believe. My clinic won't do it before 7 weeks as there's a chance all is fine but you don't see much. After the 7 weeks they're fairly sure they'll see what they need to see. So mines 24th August when I'll be 7+5. I'll be a wreck before that appointment.

I think the boobs are the progesterone for me but it does seem to be getting much worse. I didn't have a single symptom with my DD until I was over 6 weeks. This time round I had awful nausea almost immediately but that turned out to be linked to the fact I also had pneumonia, which I came down with the day after transfer. It went away with the antibiotics and then came back in the last few days which is the same time as before.

The only thing I noticed this time which I never had the first time was that I could smell EVERYTHING from 4dpt. I wasn't even positive then. But I was fairly sure I would be.

Olivia199 · 13/08/2023 08:38

@loulamay - It's such a rollercoaster but as far as I've read (and I've read a lot), it's definitely not the norm to be positive pre 6dpt!

DauntedAF · 13/08/2023 08:48

@Olivia199 thank you!! That's actually really reassured me. I'm 10dp5dt frozen transfer.

.all for anyone due in April there is a thread set up in the pregnancy forum already and they've set up a Facebook page too. Worth checking out!

Walker12 · 13/08/2023 09:11

Welcome @EllieCatMom and congratulations! Sounds like you have had a long road to get here, I totally understand the worry and keep thinking it's too good to be true- and that's after trying for 2.5yrs (also unexplained) so can only imagine how you are feeling. Hopefully this group can be a supportive space for you 😊

10degreessunny · 13/08/2023 09:14

Morning guys hope you're all well.
@Olivia199 glad to hear you're welcome and thank you for organising the next group, I would like to be part of to keep hearing how everyone is doing :) what does 7+5 mean?
@EllieCatMom congratulations on your bfp and sorry to hear you're so worried. I feel pretty worried myself but keep reminding myself that there are no symptoms to be worried about and it will be what it will be, can't spend energy worrying about that.
@loulamay still mega early days for you keeping everything crossed for you.
@DauntedAF I agree with the others about every other day testing, my tests took a while to progress and that's even with doing every other day.
X

Lauralozzle · 13/08/2023 09:20

You can count me in for next thread, even though I got a BFN. I’ve found my people! 😃 I’m invested in your journeys now and hopefully I’ll be joining you with your BFP whenever I’m due to do my FETS!

DauntedAF · 13/08/2023 09:23

Thanks all for the advice re line progression. I thought they doubled every 24 hours so feel more optimistic again. Thank you!!

EllieCatMom · 13/08/2023 09:26

Thank you all for the reassurance, feeling a lot better already just to be talking to people who get it, should have joined the conversation from the start! (I've been lurking in this thread for ages so almost feel like I know you all already 😂)

EllieCatMom · 13/08/2023 09:29

@DauntedAF for what it's worth, I'm 15dpt now and been testing everyday, they've all been pretty light with no noticeable progression until this morning which was almost a dye stealer.

IVFfirsttimer91 · 13/08/2023 10:31

Hi @EllieCatMom! Congratulations on your positive!!!

Welcome to the group 🥰

IVFfirsttimer91 · 13/08/2023 10:35

@10degreessunny 7+5 means 7 weeks and 5 days pregnant.

So i would be 8+4 today :)

10degreessunny · 13/08/2023 10:44

Ohh thank you @IVFfirsttimer91. I'm 5+1 hehe :) X

wtawtaw · 13/08/2023 10:57

Hi all

Sorry I haven't messaged in a while!! Hope you're all doing great and welcome to the newcomers 😁

I'm now 7+4, had my viability scan on Thursday and was told everything looked perfect 😍 such a relief but I thought I would worry less but now waiting until my next scan at 10 weeks seems so far away (clinic are doing this for me, I think they felt sorry for me as I walked into the room on Thursday crying my eyes out absolutely terrified of hearing bad news 😅).

For all those they have had their viability scans, are you still worrying or have you relaxed a bit?

I'm due 27/03 and would like to be added to the new thread please. Where is everyone from by the way?

IVFfirsttimer91 · 13/08/2023 10:57

@10degreessunny super exciting!!! Have you been hit with any symptoms yet? I had really bad nausea from about 5+5 - thankfully it’s tailed off a bit once I hit 8 🤢

IVFfirsttimer91 · 13/08/2023 11:00

Hi @wtawtaw! Thats absolutlely fantastic news! Really happy for you!! I’ve relaxed a bit since my last scan at 7+5, but I’ve got another booked for next Friday, just to check on things 😅 so definitely still in the worried stage. I’m hoping once I have the 12 week scan I can finally relax a bit! You’re due a week after me!! I’m finding myself wishing the time away until March now 😅😂.

Im from London, what about you?

wtawtaw · 13/08/2023 11:14

@IVFfirsttimer91 thank you ☺️ have you got another scan with your clinic or you going private? Do let us know how it goes 😁 maybe I should do the same 🤔 I take it the amount of scans doesn't affect anything does it?! Me being paranoid as usual 🤣

Aww that's ace, yes Im definitely on the countdown to March too!! I really want to look up everything baby and book baby shows etc but am going to hold off until the 12 scan! I'm from the Bath area!

Have you had your first midwife appt yet? I've got mine on 22/08

10degreessunny · 13/08/2023 11:49

@IVFfirsttimer91 no symptoms yet but I think fro 6 weeks it could all kick in so preparing myself! X

IVFfirsttimer91 · 13/08/2023 11:52

@wtawtaw im going to window to the womb, it’s £70 a scan rather than £195 at london women’s clinic!!! Much more budget friendly 😂. They say you shouldn’t have an ultrasound within one week of another, so I’m just taking that, running with it and having a reassurance scan as and when I feel like I need one.

I signed up to Emma’s Diary and got some free tickets to a baby show in September which I’m excited for! Will be past the 12 weeks by then so can get excited by all the baby things! I did see some baby Stan smiths online though which I am making myself not buy. They’re the first things I’m going to get when I feel it’s ‘safe’ to do so though 🤓.

I love bath! I was there recently actually, I think it’s a gorgeous place. We stayed at No.15 guesthouse and it was absolutely fantastic!

I actually had my first midwife appointment a while ago; they got me in really quickly, I had mine on the 31st July, it was a LOT of medical history questions and blood tests.

I did get a nice fancy purple folder thing though!

IVFfirsttimer91 · 13/08/2023 11:54

@10degreessunny hopefully you won’t get the horrible sickness that I got! Though, now that it’s subsided a bit I kind of want it back as it feels worrying that it’s abated(even though it’s perfectly normal for symptoms to come and go) I swear my boobs also must feel absolutely molested by me lol, they’ve never been so poked and prodded before in my life 😂😂
