@IVFfirsttimer91 did you have your scan on Monday??
And yeah, I always remember your result that was less than half what was expected, and the emergency scan, and then everything was fine!

@Walker12 I think it probably doesn't make much difference. Better too much than not enough?
Some of us are on such ridiculous amounts, I doubt we're within the range!

@Walker12 i think usually progesterone is measured in ng/ml not in nmol/l - i think you roughly divide it by 10 - which would get you to 45 which seems like a very normal level. but maybe worth googling the exact conversion!

@orchid29 thanks so much, I have just done the conversion and it's 152ng/mL which still seems high but I've found a few examples now in that range which reassures me! At least the pessaries are bloody doing something 😂

@Walker12 yes please don’t worry about it too much! It really freaked me out for no reason and the stress was a lot. Hope you’re doing well lovely!

@ASGIRC heya! Yes I had a scan on Monday (kept our original one and just paid for an extra when all the hcg nonsense was up in the air) and we saw the bean and actually heard it’s heartbeat this time instead of just seeing it! It was amazing ❤️ how are you doing?

@IVFfirsttimer91 that's amazing!!! Hiw far along are you now? 7 or 8?
I'm doing well! Counting the days to my scan, next week.

And feeling really positive about the whole thing. I just want to tell people, really! But will wait for the scan, to make sure!

@Walker12 my progesterone was up on 132 when I tested 2 weeks ago, I panicked too and googled like a mad person but didn’t find anything that stated this level was harmful to me or unborn.

Im not surprised mine is high with all the progesterone I’m taking lol 😂

@ASGIRC 8 weeks today! I’m so glad you’re feeling positive about it all, it really makes a difference I think! I’m also feeling quietly positive and I knitted a tiny hat the other day which baby is (hopefully) going to come home in, as I’m due in March so should be cold! I’m quite proud of it, as it’s my first ever attempt at a hat!!

@SH998 i was told by my clinic the higher the progesterone the better as it helps keep baby where it should be. But I find it hard to have 100% faith in any statement given to me as each clinic seems to differ so wildly on things!

@IVFfirsttimer91 well that’s good to hear, 🙏🏻that’s the case for us all.

Congrats on hitting 8 weeks and seeing baby’s heartbeat. I have my scan Friday and am bricking it.

So true about every clinic having completely different protocols! On another thread,chatting to another girl on tww, she did a natural cycle, and did 3 triggers, one AFTER the transfer! And no pessaries, but will be having injections if positive!

It kinda feels like they have no idea what actually works, but something worked once, so they just repeat it, with varying results.

Thanks guys! I’m glad you like the hat! I think it’s the cutest thing I’ve ever made. My SIL wants one for her baby too, so I’m currently knitting him a little yellow one!

@ASGIRC totally agree with that! The nurse that did most of my scans even said that the protocols between the two branches of the same clinic she works between are different! So I think it actually just completely depends on the consultant that you have.

I was told at my last appointment that once I have the 12week scan I’m going to be ‘weened off’ my meds, because my consultant likes to do it that way. I’m absolutely not going to be paying for any extra just to be weened off of them 😂 they’ve already had 20k out of us!

My doctor wants me to take the damn pessaries until 12 weeks... Still 6 weeks to go!!

Earlier today, the friend I told about being pregnant first texted me, asking how I was and if "everything was evolving"...
I replied saying I didnt really know, as I only have my scan next week, and until then, theres not much to report (what I wanted to say was "How the fuck do I know?! I dont have a crystal ball to look into my uterus at 6 weeks pregnant!")
and then she didnt even reply!!!!

It really wound me up. So much so that hours later, here I am, ranting about it!! LOL

@ASGIRC thanks for checking in! @SH998 I also have my scan tomorrow - a bit earlier than the clinic wanted but i’m going on holiday!

im a bit confused on due dates - online the calculators say i’m 6 weeks and 1 day today but my clinic thinks i’m only 6 weeks on monday? 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's my OTD, and I had to use the clinic 25hcg test (looks like some crappy Covid test) , the line is fainter but it is there and my CB early test, 10hcg lines are definitely there so all heading in the right direction.. will call the clinic today and tell them.. I guess that means I'm pregnant but doesn't feel real!

@10degreessunny Congratulations!! I know it doesn’t feel real at this point - I found getting the call from the clinic with the blood test results made it feel more real, because a medical professional confirmed it 😂

@orchid29 how are you feeling about your scan? I'm shitting myself and unlikely to sleep well tonight lol. How many days past transfer are you and was it a 3 or 5 day transfer?

@SH998 im 24 post 5day transfer - if I counted correctly! I’m really nervous. I’m having lots of annoying pregnancy symptoms, so you would think that would reassure me but somehow it doesn’t. Instead i kept thinking this is a sign that stuff is wrong because you’re not supposed to get them as early! i’ve been nauseous and dizzy since the beginning of week 5…

I will keep my fingers crossed for your scan!

@ASGIRC bit of an adventure - Niger closed their airspace as we were approaching so we had to divert a bit and got delayed - I almost missed my connection in Frankfurt, but made it - sadly my luggage didn't! and had all my medication in it! So I had to wait at Heathrow for about 2 hours for it to arrive on a later flight! Then the trip to the Lakes isn't short so it ended up being about 30 hours of travel in the end. I need to win the lottery so I can travel business class 😂

SO good to be home! I never want to be away from her for so long again.

Hope everyone is doing ok - I'm a bit behind on who is where with scans etc - maybe I should do another update post on everyone. If you want me to include you just send your current status? I could do with the distraction. I too kept a log like @Olivia199 and spent the last tww obsessing over any comparison or lack of when it came to symptoms. I think these progesterone in oil shots are the reason behind me feeling a bit crampy, but last time I had what I thought was implantation pain around this time with some spotting so now I'm actually hoping for some coloured discharge like a total lunatic.

@orchid29 I would work it out as 6 weeks 1 day too? Maybe they have misread your notes, my clinic often call me and are not as clued up about my notes as they probably should be.

I feel you, I have very little symptoms and the ones I do have come and go so that's making me panic. I envy people who remain carefree throughout pregnancy lol. What time is your scan? I'm sure all will be fine, our mental brains go into overdrive and unfortunately always think the worst. This is probably due to the stress we have gone through to get this far and I can see us changing that any time soon.
