@Fluxie Hi and welcome!!!

I am 6dp5dt and I tested out the trigger shot on 2dpt, and it was clear by then.
I then tested again in the evening on 4dpt and after it dried, there was a faint line. Same on the morning of 5dpt... Obviously those could have been evap lines!

Today I tested again and saw a stronger line, definetely during the normal time!

I am using One Step tests, the very cheap strip ones!

I am also a 1st timer and not a mom yet! Although my journey is a bit different, as I never even tried to use my own eggs, so didnt have to go through that part of the process!

@Bristol1988 yay for another frozen embryo!!! And if it works this time, your DH will be back just in time as well!!

ASGIRC · 25/07/2023 19:16

As for length of cycle... I should be starting to spot tomorrow, if everything was normal. Proper first day on Thursday.
My lines are barely even visible!

My test is on Friday!

Walker12 · 25/07/2023 19:19

@Fluxie so I don't think buserelin is HCG so you should be fine to test early without the risk of a false positive, if that makes sense.
Also feeling wiped out! You may have seen from the other thread I felt really unwell the last few days, definitely feeling better today but insanely bloated and having a few cramps which I think is due to the cyclogest pessaries. Sounds like the siesta was needed- I've been waking up really early and then having a nap at some point in the day which is also really unlike me!

Fluxie · 25/07/2023 19:29

@Walker12 I see, I think I had half that and half ovitrelle. So will check that one too. I'm getting used to the pessaries but finding the progesterone jabs really painful. Especially as my partner has to do them, and they're in the butt!! I don't know if everyone does those, or why I'm doing them. Not fun!

It's funny I haven't really felt as bloated since stopping the stims. This is a definite improvement, but I'm yet to look at a pair of jeans.

Fluxie · 25/07/2023 19:32

@ASGIRC I think i'm just going to try and hold on. Fingers crossed for you. I've only ever done one pg test in my life. I say that now, don't hold me to it!!

Bristol1988 · 25/07/2023 19:36

@Fluxie Im also trying really hard to hold off until test date 🙃🙃

Walker12 · 25/07/2023 19:37

@Fluxie Oh yes I think ovitrelle might have hcg so may be worth checking.
I just have pessaries and no more jabs fortunately, you've been unlucky there! I am sure its all for good reasons yes, presume it must align to existing progesterone levels but I am sure mine hasn't been tested since very very early on in the whole process.
I feel like my bloating increased at the end of stims and then worsened after egg collection/starting progesterone, and then hasn't reduced at all. I have also been looking longingly at my jeans and wondering when on earth I might be able to get into them!!

Olivia199 · 25/07/2023 19:43

The bloat is real. Last time, I had such horrendous bloat that I was in maternity wear. Then I stopped progesterone at 10 weeks and it all disappeared. Went back into skinny jeans until I was nearly in my second trimester 😂

Fluxie · 25/07/2023 19:52

@Olivia199 @Walker12 I had a thai massage last week (prior to the transfer) which I think really helped to debloat a bit. Relieved a bit of the water retention. Accupuncture too. But I'm not having it anymore.

Re. the jab. I really feel like my clinic have given me the max dose of everything, I mean it's worked so far, so I'm not knocking it.

Fluxie · 25/07/2023 19:53

@Olivia199 it's music to my ears that there you debloated enough for skinny jeans whilst pregnant. I thought it was elasticated waistbands for the next year if things go to plan!

ASGIRC · 25/07/2023 19:55

@Fluxie Olivia here is my witness that I said I probably wouldn't test early!! 😂😂😂
That went out the window as soon as I got my hand on some cheap tests! If I was paying nearly 10 per test, I definitely wouldn't be testing so much, though! But these were 10 for 3.5 euros, so 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Ovitrelle definitely has hCG. That was the trigger I got, the 250 one. It was out of my system by 2dpt, which was 9 days post shot. Not sure when it disappeared, as I didn't test before.

I feel so lucky I'm having no bloating!!! Maybe a bit more gas but honestly, not much more than normal 😂
Zero effect from the hormones, but I am ready to throw the pessaries in the bin!!

Once I get my official positive I will ask my doctor if I can do less of them. Surely 1200mg of progesterone is not needed!!!

Olivia199 · 25/07/2023 20:03

@Fluxie - Yep! It was literally like popping a balloon! I also didn't have a bump for AGES. Looking back at pictures I wasn't even that big the day I delivered. So there is hope for the debloat!

@ASGIRC - Hahah, I straight up knew I wouldn't wait and felt zero shame. I got 20 tests for £10 and a few others from boots/tesco. I'll do one morning and night now.
This morning was faint and by lunchtime had a more noticeable line. I haven't tested this evening as I've had two alcohol free shandys so my pee is like water. Haha 😂

Olivia199 · 25/07/2023 20:03

Also, @ASGIRC, it definitely seems like a lot. I thought I was on 600mg but actually mine are 100's. So only 300!

My clinic don't ever check progesterone though which makes me nervous.

Hi all,

So lovely to see lots of positive tests, congratulations all!

I’m on day 4 of stims today and have a scan in the morning so hoping the fast growing 2 follicles have slowed down and others have caught up!

Hi all,

I’m on day 4 of stims today and have a scan in the morning so hoping the fast growing 2 follicles have slowed down and others have caught up!

It has changed my username for some reason, I was under Caroline 2023 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

IVF23 · 25/07/2023 20:16

@ttcsolomumtobe yay for CD1, good luck for your first injection tomorrow!

Lauralozzle · 25/07/2023 20:18

@IVF23 Good luck for tomorrow’s scan.

went for a short walk today. That was a mistake. I must have looked like a right twit because I was walking funny, definitely still a bit sore. Strange how you can feel ok on the sofa but a walk down the street took it out of me!

I hate that CARE don’t give updates after fertilisation update. It’s going to be a very long week. Won’t find out until date of transfer. Part of me wishes I could just sleep until Saturday morning!

wtawtaw · 25/07/2023 20:18

Ooooh new thread! @21C was missed, how are you @21C?

Would it be a good idea for everyone to give a brief update on where they are in the process? As I'm completely lost!! 🙂

Justalittlebitblondie · 25/07/2023 20:30

Well - good news and bad… transfer went well and everyone is hopeful so that is really good. Bad news is that DH had the mother of all arguments- I am sure it will all sort itself out but is another level of stress and takes the excitement and polish off the day

ttcsolomumtobe · 25/07/2023 20:32

@wtawtaw great idea as I keep trying to look back on the other but just so many comments.

Day 1 for me, bemfola injections start tomorrow evening.which I feel okay about as they are small needles, second lot I've just looked at and seem much bigger so yea, will be nervy at that point. Scan on CD4 as my clinic doesn't scan at weekends.

@IVF23 thank you! I hope your scan goes well tomorrow.

21C · 25/07/2023 20:32

@wtawtaw Hi! I’ve been rubbish at keeping up too just trying not to go mad here 🙃

I’m on same timeline as @ASGIRC so currently 6dp5dt. Ovitrelle was my trigger for egg collection but also instructed to take ‘8 clicks’ of it the day of transfer to support implantation which was only 6 days ago so I’ve not even bothered testing this week! Test day is Saturday so just waiting it out but that doesn’t mean I’m staying cool haha. I’ve been going to the bathroom checking for implantation bleeding everytime - absolutely nothing and have very period like symptoms that are usual for me the week leading up to period coming. No idea what to think! The only thing I’ve really noticed was 4dpt and 5dpt a couple of days of what I can only describe as almost lightening bolt pains on my left hand side ovary to the point they were so quick and sharp I jumped every time! Some days I’m hopefully other days convinced it’s not worked and period is on way. Just got to keep going until Saturday 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

ttcsolomumtobe · 25/07/2023 20:35

@Justalittlebitblondie glad everything went well on the transfer front. Sorry about you and DH, I hope it does get sorted. I can't even begin to imagine the stress that IVF must put in a couple. Although it's a hard thing to do solo I feel lucky in some ways that I don't have to consider another person's feelings in all of this, that I get to solely focus on myself and the process. Maybe a night of rest will do you both good

Lauralozzle · 25/07/2023 20:45

@Justalittlebitblondie I’m glad transfer went well. Sorry you and DH had an argument though, hopefully it sorts itself out. It’s such a fragile and stressful time. Emotions are heightened.

@21C Your willpower is impressive. Hopefully Saturday comes along sooner rather than later with great news.

@wtawtaw Great idea. I’m getting a bit lost with everyone’s updates too!

Brief background here: Second cycle, first failed. Dodgy right ovary that does f all. Egg collection yesterday - 8 eggs from left ovary.

4 have fertilised. Better than last time. Bricking it until Saturday when I find out if we have anything to transfer.

Olivia199 · 25/07/2023 20:48

@Justalittlebitblondie - I'm so sorry about the row with your husband. I can't imagine the stress it puts on two people. I'm another one who's fairly pleased to just please myself at the moment! I hope all sorts out and you can get the magic back. It's sometimes just the climax of everything leading to transfer! (And huge congratulations on your transfer by the way!)

@IVF23 - Good luck for your scan tomorrow!! Got everything crossed for you.

@Lauralozzle - That'd drive me mad with no updates, I know some clinics don't like to disturb them but can imagine it makes the wait even harder! I get what you mean about being wiped out with moving. I felt fine after both egg collections.. until I moved!

@21C - Oh no! I'm sorry I forgot you too!! I knew there would be some. If it's any help, my first pregnancy I was absolutely certain was just my AF coming. It felt identical. This time I've got the superhuman smell and the singular sore boob but everything else is the same!

Great idea with the updates @wtawtaw.

I'm 5DP5DT and got a positive test this morning. So I'm in the tentatively hopeful stage of thinking I might just be pregnant!
