So nice to read these messages! I'm 36 weeks today, feels like we're crawling to the end! Is everyone sorted? My house looks like an amazon warehouse!

WhiteJasmin · 21/10/2023 16:22

@Piapea my nursery is ready to go. I must say most of the pregnancy I've been fine and worked through without needing to take sick leave. These last weeks to the finish line my body feels like a torture. Can't wait to have him out as he's getting really heavy.

Piapea · 29/10/2023 14:05

@WhiteJasmin I'm the same! I've had a really nice pregnancy but now he feels giant and I'm just itchy and uncomfortable in the evenings. I need about 3 more days to myself then he is welcome anytime.. I'll be doing everything in my power to get him out😅

WhiteJasmin · 29/10/2023 17:43

Coming back to say my baby boy is born! Thanks for sharing this journey with me. It's been a wild ride!

Stillhoping1990 · 29/10/2023 18:53

My girls are now here too! What a journey indeed. I’m so very grateful and humbled by the process xx

peonygirl · 29/10/2023 19:40

@Stillhoping1990 and @WhiteJasmin congratulations! I also had my baby boy and he is gorgeous. I am just constantly scared I will do something wrong. This journey has been so long and so difficult it is overwhelming to see him now in the flesh. I am sure once my hormones settle I will feel more balanced :)

Piapea · 29/10/2023 21:43

Congratulations @Stillhoping1990 @WhiteJasmin and@peonygirl! So lovely to hear of safe arrivals:)
I'm still a week away from my due date and getting impatient!

WhiteJasmin · 30/10/2023 09:20

Thanks for the well wishes all! Now I'm dealing with post partum recovery. I must admit I didn't realise it would be this hard even with virginal birth!

peonygirl · 30/10/2023 12:33

@WhiteJasminvirginal birth you say? :)) best typo ever.

Take your time for recovery, don't rush anything and get help wherever you can. I tried to rest but couldn't and I feel I'd do it all different if I could. I recovered fairly quickly after c-section but I am honestly still not doing much (11 days post-op). Get a cleaner if you need to, order meals in, spoil yourself with a bath... it is overwhelming to have a newborn in the house.

WhiteJasmin · 30/10/2023 19:44

@peonygirl argh the world of autocorrect!

I think I am being a bit hard on myself with bouncing back as I've seen many friends just having the glow and no one talks about the recovery in my circle. I also feel like I'm not used to my new body and all the changes/sacrifices made for the baby. Still adjusting to the new norm.

Stillhoping1990 · 07/03/2024 05:57

Hello all!
how’s everyone doing?
the last 4 months have been a blur! The girls are keeping me very busy. I think we have hit on a sleep regression with one baby - she’s up every hour in the night.
xx

WhiteJasmin · 07/03/2024 10:16

Hi all! I'm feeling much better than my initial shock of 1st month. Enjoying the baby a lot more now getting used to his cues and what he prefers. On that note my dr was saying I shouldn't be breastfeeding my son for more than a year because of age reasons, better to try for another baby (IVF process) asap. I'm quite enjoying just the one so far and not yet ready for another round of IVF and appointments. Just taking in the moment.
