@LittleAm I am so sorry to hear this. Look after yourself.

Aishae · 30/03/2023 03:04

@LittleAm so sorry for your loss. It's not easy.

Stillhoping1990 · 11/04/2023 11:07

how’s everyone doing? @BronteGirl1985 how was your scan? I’m 9 weeks tomorrow and having another scan on Friday to check everything is progressing as it should.
is anyone taking progesterone injections? My injection site is becoming very swollen and painful.

BronteGirl1985 · 11/04/2023 11:11

@Stillhoping1990 I am doing well. I'm 9 weeks and 2 days. I've had a scan at 6 weeks and 8 weeks which both went well. I'm currently waiting for NHS midwife to contact me about 12 week scan. Did anyone else have to do a self referral?

I've been discharged from my fertility clinic and finish my estradiol and pessaries on 6th May.

How are you?

Stillhoping1990 · 11/04/2023 11:16

@BronteGirl1985 your just 3 days ahead of me :-) that’s great to hear everything is well. How are you feeling? I’ve had a few sicky days and nights and feeling tired.
my medication will stop on 3rd May - can’t wait! Does it feel like time is going very slowly? It does for me. I’m just counting down the days until 12 weeks!
yes I self referred and have my NHS scan booked in for 13 weeks.
Also - on my 7 week scan, twins were confirmed! very excited but anxious. I just want to know they are both doing well in there.

BronteGirl1985 · 11/04/2023 11:20

@Stillhoping1990 oh my.. twins! How amazing for you. So happy for you.

Out of curiosity, how long after doing your self referral did you receive an appointment? I did it over two weeks ago and heard nothing yet.

Yes time is going so slow! I'm ready to get some energy back in 2nd trimester.

Let us know how your 13 week scan goes
. X

Stillhoping1990 · 11/04/2023 12:29

@BronteGirl1985 thank you! I heard back just a couple of days after I sent the self referral online. Let us know when you get a response! X

WhiteJasmin · 11/04/2023 21:24

@Stillhoping1990 congratulations on the twins! How are you feeling?

I'm starting my 12th week. Got a blood test coming up to check for things like down syndrome, gender etc. Then a scan at 13th week before seeing my doctor again.

Feeling nervous since it's been a while since my last scan and just hope it all goes well. Can't wait for all those tests to be done.

Stillhoping1990 · 11/04/2023 22:11

@WhiteJasmin thank you! Congrats on your 12th week! It must feel great to be moving to the second trimester - such a big milestone!
was your previous scan at 7 weeks? It’s a long wait isn’t it. I feel like I need constant reassurance.
feeling ok, some days nauseous and tired and some days are fine! How have you been feeling?

WhiteJasmin · 11/04/2023 23:01

@Stillhoping1990 thanks! Just beginning my 12th week so not quite there just yet. I got a scan at 7th, 8th and 9th week. The first 2 at the fertility clinic and the 3rd after they handed over to my current doctor. But yes I miss the weekly update to confirm everything is ok.

Feeling wise my symptoms have always been fatigue. Haven't been sick yet but food taste bland to me except if I have fruit. I also notice I can't really walk as fast as before it's just more effort for me. Want to wait till I get the all clear from the first trimester tests before announcing anything.

Megan1591 · 12/04/2023 05:47

Congratulations to you all!
I'm 9+5, had a scan yesterday at the epu due to previous miscarriages, saw the baby wiggling about and measuring just right. The sickness has got so much due that the dr has now prescribed me antisickness thankfully. Despite the sickness I've gained 8lb, I'm hoping it's a lot of water retention due to the progesterone and estrogen which I stop on 3rd may too.
Anyone sick of the meds but equally scared to stop them?

Stillhoping1990 · 12/04/2023 07:06

@WhiteJasmin oooo yes I’m loving fruit and fruit juice as well. Food craving seem to change each day for me.
I also haven’t announced and won’t be saying anything we have our NHS scan and tests. It’s so hard keeping the secret though. I’m also extremely bloated - the bloating makes me look pregnant already! So haven’t to cover that up.

Stillhoping1990 · 12/04/2023 07:09

@Megan1591 I’m sorry you’ve been feeling so sick - it’s not nice. Yes perhaps it’s water retention because the weight won’t have come from eating if you’ve been very sick!
yes hate the meds but also feel weird about stopping them and letting my body do the work itself. I’m especially looking forward to stopping the pessaries though!

WhiteJasmin · 12/04/2023 07:43

I had a quick scan and my blood test done today. Scan showed the baby growing well so hopefully blood work is ok.

I feel like the IVF process generally made me gain weight. I'm not sure if it's the medication or me taking a break from exercise during the 2 week wait.

Stillhoping1990 · 12/04/2023 08:58

@WhiteJasmin what is your blood test checking? Is it hcg levels? I haven’t had anymore at this stage.
yep I also stopped exercising before the tww. The only activity I do now is walking. Looking forward to being more active later on in the pregnancy.

WhiteJasmin · 12/04/2023 11:08

@Stillhoping1990 this blood test checks if the baby got down syndrome. I think you need to be at least 10 weeks. It can also tell the gender.

Stillhoping1990 · 12/04/2023 11:15

@WhiteJasmin Oh right! I didn’t know I could get this at 10 weeks - I presumed it was 12 weeks. That’s good to know.

BronteGirl1985 · 09/10/2023 07:55

Hi, how is everyone 🤗 I'm currently 35 weeks. Anyone had their little miracles yet?

WhiteJasmin · 09/10/2023 11:06

Not just yet but I'm nearing 37 weeks so fingers crossed!

peonygirl · 09/10/2023 11:12

I am 37w today so not quite there yet :)

Stillhoping1990 · 09/10/2023 12:48

It’s great to hear from you all - the FET seems like so long ago now doesn’t it?!
My twins will be delivered next week at 36 weeks!

peonygirl · 09/10/2023 12:50

@Stillhoping1990 Amazing! You did great to keep them in till 36w, you must be so excited to meet them. I will meet my baby boy next week as well, at 38w+2. I hope all goes well for both of us.

Stillhoping1990 · 09/10/2023 13:02

Wish you the best for next week @peonygirl and I hope everyone else is doing well and not feeling too uncomfortable in these last weeks! Almost there! And what a journey it’s been!

BronteGirl1985 · 09/10/2023 14:09

It is so lovely to hear from everyone.

Good Luck @Stillhoping1990 and @peonygirl on the Births of your miracles.

How has everyone found pregnancy? X

Stillhoping1990 · 09/10/2023 14:32

I’ve really enjoyed pregnancy and really embraced it especially after the long process to get here! That’s not to say I haven’t had bad days - some sickness and rib pains. But overall been very happy!
