@LauraHeart321 congratulations - fingers crossed all ok with the cyst. For me after day 3 scan (which was around 10 days after starting Buserelin) it’s been 12 days of oestrogen tablets, then 5 days blood thinners and progesterone then transfer - I think they aim to do the transfer on about day 20-21 of your cycle from what I understand

RMS0209 · 02/02/2023 20:44

@LauraHeart321 yaaaaaay for AF!! Can you ask her to visit me asap too please???
Fingers crossed for cyst 🤞🏻

How is everybody doing? X

@RMS0209 haha yes let me do my AF dance tonight instead of a rain dance and I'm sure she'll be there soon!! Xx

Piapea · 03/02/2023 06:29

@RMS0209 still waiting for AF? How typical, just when you when it to hurry up, the brakes go on! Hopefully today she'll make an appearance today. I have a day 10 scan booked for next Wednesday.. I'm just itching to get started. I've already had 2 cancelled FETs so I'm desperate for this one to go ahead.

Maya34 · 03/02/2023 20:04

Hello everybody,
I am going to FET in February too.
Had eggs retrieval in November, 6 were collected, all were mature, 5 were fertilized fine but on day 5 we had only two morulas of poor quality, the doctor decided to give them a chance and left them for day 6, so have two poor quality embryos grade C frozen. I know we have a really small chance for success but even a small hope is hope.
So now taking hormones and hope my endometrium thickness will be enough for transfer. Wish everybody good luck and finally get BFP! 🙏

FlapJackered · 04/02/2023 15:04

Good luck @Piapea ! Why were your last ones cancelled? I had one cancelled last year after fluid was found in my uterus. It's so heartbreaking after taking all the meds etc! Keeping fingers crossed for you!

Has AF showed up yet @RMS0209 ?

Hi @Maya34 I am sure they wouldn't have frozen them if they didn't think there was a good chance, you hear about poor quality embryos making beautiful, healthy babies all the time so 🤞🤞🤞. What day are you on now?

AF arrived for me today so onto the drugs tomorrow! Not looking forward to the brain fog and and general mess I am going to become from tomorrow. 😵‍💫🙈

RMS0209 · 04/02/2023 15:13

No Af yet @FlapJackered :( I have a scan monday to see what's going on!! I just want to start going now!! X

Maya34 · 05/02/2023 08:21

@FlapJackered thanks for support, day 11 of taking Progyluton. Last ultrasound showed that my endometrium lining is thinner that I was expected so continue with medication and waiting for the next check on Monday

ingkir · 06/02/2023 10:17

@RMS0209 Sorry AF hasn't shown up yet. How did your scan go?

LittleAm · 06/02/2023 20:05

Hope no one minds me joining this! Hello! I’m on my first FET, following a fresh transfer last September which ended in a miscarriage at 7 weeks. I had an injection on 9th January and I’ve been taking 6mgs Progynova for 2 weeks. I had a scan this morning but lining was only 5mm so to increase Progynova to 8mgs and go back next week for another scan. Not gonna lie, I was really upset all morning but think it’s a frustration/hormone combo! I’ve also had some brown discharge yesterday and today but they didn’t seem worried about that. It’s sooo good to have somewhere to chat x x

peonygirl · 07/02/2023 20:14

@LittleAm welcome! it's good to have somewhere to chat.

I am also on my first FET and I have a transfer this coming weekend. I am both excited and worried. I have learned today all 10 eggs fertilized and am waiting now till day 5. I will know then how many survived but they all survived first day :) I am on oestrogen patches and progesterone pessaries 2x day. So far, it hasn't been difficult just a lot of waiting. Also I have serious issues with needles and blood tests are super stressful. I have to have one again after transfer so I am already freaking out.

Pax89 · 07/02/2023 20:55

Hi everyone. just came across this, I am new to all this and have never posted before. I am due to have my FET this Thursday so thought I would join in! I don’t know anyone who has had to go through IVF or had fertility struggles so no-one close to me really quite understands what it is like emotionally. This is my first FET but I was lucky enough to conceive first time from my fresh cycle just under 2 1/2 years ago. This will be a frostie from the same batch. Praying it sticks! Trying to remain positive but can’t help but feel can I really be that lucky twice! X

peonygirl · 07/02/2023 22:09

@Pax89good luck on Thursday! and sure, you can be lucky twice :) keep positive but also stay in the middle - my psychologist is saying acceptance of whatever is coming is key. Stay focused, we are rooting for you.

WhiteJasmin · 08/02/2023 05:08

Hi everyone! Hope I can join the community.

I had my first IVF round late last year. Got 6 eggs collected but mostly immature and only 2 got fertilised and eventually 1 made it for transfer. They reassured me that one looked good but it ended up in chemical pregnancy. Now I'm going for my second round with a bit of tweaking (taking additional growth hormones to mature the eggs). Had my egg collection 5 this time and 3 were mature enough for fertilising but the lab says they are at the lower end quality so will see if fertilisation happens. A bit nervous with the wait etc.

Good luck to everyone on this journey!

AM08 · 08/02/2023 08:24

@WhiteJasmin fingers very much crossed for you, keep us updated, like everyone says, there are so many examples on these boards where lower quality embryos have worked versus higher grades and it only takes one

I am going in for embryo transfer today, which is so exciting but I’m very nervous about the full bladder situation as on my dummy transfer I drank the recommended 2 litres but I was way to full and they couldn’t find my cervix - need to drink less but still enough for this to go smoothly…

WhiteJasmin · 08/02/2023 08:36

@AM08 thanks for the welcome! I was worried about the full bladder in the first run but it ended up ok so hope that's the same for you!

I wasn't too sure what the lab said over the phone. They sort of mentioned it in passing that the eggs has a bit of browning. Waiting for the news is so hard! Obviously I did a lot of googling and not sure if it helped but some say it can be due to over stimulation. Argh here's hoping it turns out ok.

AM08 · 08/02/2023 11:11

@WhiteJasmin i hope so, not long now for the transfer, eeek, such a mixture of emotions!

How many days in are your embryos? Hoping something can change and get them to where they need to be 🤞keep us posted!

WhiteJasmin · 08/02/2023 11:14

@AM08 just had egg collection day and they phoned back same day to let me know about how many was matured enough for fertilising. They only mentioned this time that it was on the lower quality end. My first round they didn't mention this and they said I had a "good egg" for transfer but guess that didn't work out for me. This grading system is sending us all on emotional rollercoasters!

AM08 · 08/02/2023 11:23

@WhiteJasmin my view is that we will always find something to obsess about in this process as things are so uncertain, like I have a good grade embryo on paper but I’ve been so incredibly stressed with work I’m worried that will mean it doesn’t happen… such a hideous process, but we have to hope that we will get there when we’re meant to with it x

WhiteJasmin · 08/02/2023 11:47

@AM08 you're right. A process of trial and error.

Pax89 · 08/02/2023 20:00

Thank you 😊 yeh that is probably good advice. We fell pregnant naturally last year which was a massive shock (we had been trying for over 6 years before first round of ivf) but this pregnancy sadly turned out to be ectopic. Had an emergency op at 7weeks and I didn’t cope very well emotionally with this so going to try my best to keep in the mindset of whatever is meant to be will be X

WhiteJasmin · 08/02/2023 22:17

@Pax89 I found using my clinic's counsellor helped with just talking to someone about it.

@AM08 I got an update today that all 3 eggs fertilised. They said they are still looking grainy but will continue to monitor so fingers crossed! I am asking if I can transfer the second best egg if it's not good enough quality for freezing (depending on what we end up with) just to give it a chance.

blueskies94 · 09/02/2023 20:42

I have my baseline scan on Saturday and getting nervous about if the nurses will weigh me. I think my BMI will be borderline. They have my weight on file from egg collection so hoping they won't bother this time.

Were any of you weighed for the FET cycle?

ingkir · 09/02/2023 21:34

@blueskies94 I'm in the middle of my second FET cycle and I haven't been weighed either time. How borderline are you? Could wearing light clothes be enough to make a difference and get you below the BMI limit?

blueskies94 · 09/02/2023 21:39

@ingkir oh that's good news! I have about 4lbs leeway based on my scales, but I'm not sure how accurate they are.
Hopefully a day of eating lightly and light clothes will do the trick.
