Hi!
Looking to find some friends who are going to be going through a FET in February.

😊

Hi@RMS0209

I recognise your user name from another one of our cancelled rounds in November.

My FET this month has just been cancelled so I'm joining team February.

I don't know what is happening with me. I had been testing for ovulation everyday and got my surge yesterday. I went in for my scan but the sonographer said that it looks like I ovulated days ago and they couldn't tell when. So that has cancelled my January round. I'm going to do a semi medicated round next with more scans and maybe a trigger shot. Fingers crossed for February x

RMS0209 · 17/01/2023 12:50

Hi! @Piapea I think I recognise your name too. how are you doing?

I'm so sorry to hear this months FET has been cancelled, sending you a hug.

I'm waiting for cycle day 1 (due Friday 20th Jan) but I normally spot for several days before, I have nothing yet. So I have a blood test tomorrow and hopefully will start northisterone on Friday to encourage a bleed.

🤞🏻 for semi medicated, I will be on pessaries tablets & injections so I am hoping these give me the luck I need.

I'm trying to be positive thinking - we are half way through January already! X

I’m doing a Feb FET too! I had my first round in November, 9 eggs collected, 7 fertilised, 5 blasts (but one not good enough for freezing). I had one transferred in Nov which failed and have 3 in the freezer. AF started yesterday so started oestrogen today and FET provisionally booked for 7/2 - eek.

LauraHeart321 · 17/01/2023 18:45

Hi All,
Waiting for AF to turn up so I can start meds for my first FET! I had egg collection in October but unfortunately got OHSS and ended up in hospital so everything had to be frozen (they collected 37 eggs and were so surprised I was even able to have the process done!) We were very lucky and have 5 frozen day 5 blasts (last time we only had 1 which luckily resulted in my amazing daughter). I've no idea of the timescale for a FET as it's all new to me. I have my meds and protocol but it might as well be written in another language it's so confusing! I know the first thing I'll be doing is Buserelin and then it says something about tablets and that's when I begin to get confused.
I was due to start this in December but went for a scan and they found a cyst in my womb which they're hoping is just a hormonal thing that goes away on its own so its now just a waiting game!
Xx

Piapea · 17/01/2023 19:56

Welcome to the frozen February group! I have 4 in the freezer and haven't had the chance to transfer any of them yet. Hopefully this is our month!
@RMS0209 I'm OK, I'm just sick of joining these groups one after the other just for something else to go wrong. I know most of you know exactly how I feel so I'm definitely in the right place!

ingkir · 17/01/2023 20:43

Thanks for starting the group @RMS0209 and hello to everyone! I had a FET in December which sadly ended in an early miscarriage so now trying again in Feb. I had an endometrial scratch last week and will be on additional progesterone injections and blood thinners with the hope that this time if the embryo sticks it'll stay stuck.

RMS0209 · 19/01/2023 16:04

Hi all!
Just off the phone to the clinic.. got the go ahead to start northisterone to kick start a bleed, taking this up until the 26th and then hopefully bleed a few days later.
Hold tight little embryo's I'm on my way (slowly) 😂
How is everybody doing? X

@LauraHeart321 hi! Wow amazing, I got 35 eggs, 15 made it into storage 7 of which are A's so 🤞🏻
I also had OHSS, it's a very strange uncomfortable pain isn't it.
Any update on the cyst? X

Hi @ingkir
Welcome, thanks for joining 🥰
I am so sorry to hear about the miscarriage, hugs to you.
Roll on Feb! This is our time to shine 🤞🏻
What medication will you be taking? I will be taking progesterone's after transfer. X

Hi @NorthernDuckling
Yay FEB FET crew!

Brilliant, I would originally have been transferring around 8/2 but my cycle has delayed itself so I'll be about 2 weeks behind that now I think. X

Hi guys, I am also joining you, I am having a donor FET in February. I am currently on Estradot and waiting for my scan to check my lining. I was told they found the donor and collected 10 eggs. No follow up from there yet but it is happening :) Kinda excited but also scared it will fail.

LauraHeart321 · 19/01/2023 17:01

@RMS0209 No sadly not, still bloody waiting for AF before they'll do another scan on day 14 and now because I'm stressed about it it's taking longer because my body must hate me!!! X

ingkir · 21/01/2023 12:00

@RMS0209 Thanks for the welcome! I'll be on progynova then progesterone pessaries, extra progesterone injections and blood thinner injections too. My consultant told me not to buy the extra drugs from my clinic because they over-price them so I shopped around and got them much cheaper at Asda. £8 per progesterone injection instead of £20 from my clinic!

RMS0209 · 27/01/2023 11:41

Hi ladies! Just dropping in to say hi and bumping the thread 😊
Finished the norethisterone last night... waiting for a bleed, hopefully by Sunday and then it's
estradiol and fyremadel time. X

Piapea · 27/01/2023 12:29

Hi @RMS0209
I think we're all just waiting for AF to show up so we can get started! I'll be starting scans again around the 10th of Feb and then possibly a trigger shot around the 14th. Two more frustrating weeks to wait.
I hope AF makes an appearence for you soon!

FlapJackered · 27/01/2023 20:32

Hi! Can I join please? Starting a FET around 6th Feb. 🤞
I had a failed FET in November and had a miscarriage at 12 weeks last April from a miracle natural pregnancy. I definitely let the stress get to me last time and the drugs made be a bit crazy so going to channel my zen this time!! X

Yel · 29/01/2023 12:56

Hey! Thanks for starting the Feb group! This will be my second FET and I also had a fresh transfer which was also unsuccessful. This time we are trying down regging to see if that will make the transfer go any better. We are also transferring two embryos as the grades weren't great for these two. Hope everyone is doing OK! Are ye trying anything to support the transfer like diet or acupuncture?

AM08 · 30/01/2023 07:59

Hi everyone,

I have my lining check on Thursday and scheduled in for transfer next Wednesday. Had my IVF cycle back in December but had signs of OHSS so moved to a freeze all round.

@FlapJackered sorry to hear about your miscarriage, hoping this is your time 🤞

@Yel that sounds like a good plan, I am doing acupuncture, not sure how much it will help but have a lot of stress with work at the moment and have noticed it bringing my stress level down so seems worth it

peonygirl · 30/01/2023 11:19

@Yel just like AM08 I am doing acupuncture, also noticed it helped with stress relief. I am otherwise terrified of needles and struggled to make a decision to do this but it was worth it. I am going back in a week. It will depend on the therapist though, it is really important you get along with them and feel safe and relaxed.

Yel · 30/01/2023 20:54

Brave to do the acupuncture (and IVF!!) when you are scared of needles@peonygirl!! Great that it's working well for you @AM08 I did it over the summer and loved it also, it helped with a lot of the stress after the fertility diagnosis.

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage @FlapJackered, hope this round goes well for you 🙏

NorthernDuckling · 30/01/2023 21:08

I had my scan today, lining is 12mm and all set for transfer on 7/2. I start progesterone pessaries on Thursday so only a week until transfer!

RMS0209 · 30/01/2023 21:17

Hello! Been feeling a bit down today, still no period from finishing the northisterone boo hoo, but staying positive it will arrive in a few days to get medication started for FET ❤️

OP posts:
FlapJackered · 31/01/2023 05:58

Thanks @Yel @AM08 x

I am doing Accupuncture and find it amazing for de-stressing! Definitely necessary this time as we are doing a renovation and living with my parents at the moment! 🙈 Not the ideal time for ivf but I don't think it's going to get any less stressful for a while. 😵‍💫

@NorthernDuckling that's great! Not long to wait 🤞

@RMS0209 that's frustrating it hasn't turned up, the one time you actually want it to arrive! I am sure it will happen soon.

AM08 · 31/01/2023 20:01

@NorthernDuckling congratulations on the lining, your one day ahead of me for transfer - we’re nearly there!

@RMS0209 so annoying on the period, mine was the same and 4 days late this time round, hoping it comes soon for you!

@FlapJackered very much sounds needed with the house renovation - try not to worry too much about the stress as it just causes more stress

I have womb lining check on Thursday and then go onto the blood thinners and other medications like progesterone from Friday when my partners away for the weekend - trying not to worry about it and hopefully all will go ok

LauraHeart321 · 01/02/2023 18:15

AF has finally arrived!!!!!! Got a scan booked for day 14 to check to see if the cyst is still there (hopefully it's disappeared!) And all being well I can start my meds on day 21.

I haven't had a FET before and looking at my protocol it looks like I start Buserelin on day 21 but does anyone know the sort of timescales of it after that?!

Hope everyone is ok and staying positive xx
