FET December 2022

Hello!

Is anyone else scheduled to have a FET in Dec? I had my egg collection at the end of October and as we did PGT-A testing we're doing a FET in my next cycle. I've been given an estimated transfer date of 5 December.

Would love to speak with others who will be going through this at the same time!

It’s pretty definite that I’m out. Still negative at 8dp5dt. Sorry that I’m such a downer, I’m utterly devastated and struggling. This was my last embryo and this is the end of the road for me. Sending luck and love to you all x

@neuroticteachermummy I'm so so sorry to hear this, this must be gut-wrenching. I have seen some posters who didn't get their BFPs until 10 days post transfer so there could still be hope? If it is definitely a negative I hope you are able to give yourself some time to grieve and look after yourself xx

I was hoping this would be a good Christmas with something to celebrate but my little frosty had other ideas.

@neuroticteachermummy so sorry to hear that, I feel your pain I really do. I knew mine had failed after 2 days but still hard to come to terms with. Hope you manage to find a way of getting another round x

@neuroticteachermummy you are not a downer at all. It’s just crap. Especially when it’s so loaded with hope. Mine too… also Christmas does not help with any of this.

I’m the same 8 days past now and it’s over. I knew at the weekend really.

im actually thinking of stopping the tablets and progesterone as they are making me feel crap and pregnant so it’s just mean. I know the clinic would say to carry on but..

anyway I will look forward to seeing all the updates from you girls and I have everything crossed - good luck ladies! Xx

@RoseLlo hope all goes well today with transfer.

Mine was fine, thanks for asking it was my first time. I have never felt so gracious, legs in the air tilted backwards with hubby sat right next to my hoohaa while they tried to navigate the kink in my cervix. It out lol its a memory I will never forget! LOL!

What we go through we are true superwoman never forget that no matter how tough it gets xxx

We are not testing until the due date so 19th is my official test date. We decided there is nothing we can do to influence the outcome by testing early so for peace of mind we are just going to cracking on with living life best we can! It is so tough yesterday I thought about my parallel Christmases depending on the outcome to make sure no matter what the outcome, I make sure I find the joy in life and enjoy spending time with friends and family and eating obvs 😀

I took this week off work and have been chilling watching Disney movies, taking walks to feed the swans and just appreciating how fortunate I am to even have got this far after 2 years ago the NHS told me it was impossible for me to make embryos and 2 challenging years later 8 private cycles we have 4 frosties and 4 chances and that's more than we could have asked for 2 years ago and for that I am grateful xxx

PS I still don't know how to mumsnet properly yet so apologies if I haven't done this right.

No one is a downer, this is what this forum is for - so we don't feel so alone in all of this. I am really sorry this might not have gone well :( I really hope things turn around for you ladies in the next couple of days but in the meantime take some time to look after yourselves and surround yourselves with people and things that make you feel best xxx

I have now joined the TWW and I'm thinking I will do the same as you @SPR40 and wait until my test date. I'm glad your transfer went well, you've had quite a journey to get here :) I also had a giggle after mine as I had no idea they had even started when she told me it was all finished!

@RoseLlo so pleased to hear all went well. Amazing that you didnt even notice they had started thats brilliant.

@Nat4819 so pleased you got your date! I had my scan today and set to transfer Tuesday 13 December so I'm a day behind you.

Dreading going into this right before the holidays (and getting married low key on the 21st) but thinking maybe they will be a great distraction if it all falls apart? I've convinced my doctor today to try two embryos after two failed cycles so fingers crossed one is sticky.

So sorry to hear about the BFNs. I've been there squinting and squinting in the vain hope there would be nothing. It's brutal.

Hubbi just suggested we book a stay over at a nice hotel on testing day, so no matter the outcome it can be a day away in our own space. Not quite as exciting as a wedding but I will take it 😀 xxxx

@SPR40 thank you! How are you feeling a few days in to the TWW? That's a lovely idea to stay in a hotel for your test day! I'm travelling home today - it's been nice to have the downtime but can't wait to get back now :)

I am slowly driving myself crazy wondering if this transfer is going to work or not, not helped by spending ages scrolling through all the different threads (both good and bad) in this forum! DH and friends say I need to relax but finding it much easier said than done. Think I need to start planning lots of activities to act as a distraction.

Thanks @SPR40 and @Nat4819 . That felt like the longest day ever, flight was delayed so it was a big rush getting to each of my connections home. 15 hours door to door! I was reassured it would be safe to travel by any means so I've definitely tested that theory 😬 I've been googling too but have quite a busy few days ahead so hoping that'll distract me 🙈

Hi everyone. We transferred two day 5 embryos on 10th December one being a hatching blastocyst. I'm 41 at the end of the month and I really hope this works. We had one failed round of ivf in May when we transferred two day 5 blasts, then switched clinics and did a duostims which yielded 10 great quality day 5 blastocysts. Wanted to bank as many as possible due to my age. Had issues with lining in the previous ivf cycle.

I am feeling very nervous and am traumatised by the negative pregnancy test after the previous failed cycle. So much to go through for a negative..

Really happy to join this thread and not feel so alone!

@Yoga817 Welcome! Sorry to hear about your previous failed cycle, but great that you've subsequently been able to back so many quality blastocysts and that the current transfer is going well so far. When is your OTD?

Hi! Nice to virtually meet you. OTD is 23 December which is 12 days post transfer. Feels quite late.

I've had terrible cold symptoms from 36 hours after transfer including a 37.7C fever last night, sore throat, ear pain, runny nose and a cough. Really hoping it won't affect transfer. I'm terrible for googling.

@Yoga817 I'm exactly the same with Google, I'm actually driving myself crazy with all the armchair diagnoses I'm making on myself right now 😂 Are you able to contact your clinic to ask their advice re your cold symptoms? I'm sure it's all fine but it may give you some peace of mind.

My OTD is 26 December, 14 days post transfer - it feels like a lifetime away doesn't it? I think I am going to have to test slightly early though as if it is positive I will need some more medication and my clinic won't be open on Boxing Day.

@RoseLlo Thank you! My transfer was yesterday, had a stress in the morning figuring out how we were going to get there given the weather but thankfully the transfer itself went smoothly. Trying to take it easy for the next few days. How are you feeling?
