Hello!

Is anyone else scheduled to have a FET in Dec? I had my egg collection at the end of October and as we did PGT-A testing we're doing a FET in my next cycle. I've been given an estimated transfer date of 5 December.

Would love to speak with others who will be going through this at the same time!

@SPR40 Thanks! How are you doing?

Happyface82 · 24/01/2023 19:50

@Yoga817 so excited to read your news!!! Amazing!!! Woop woop!!!

SPR40 · 24/01/2023 20:30

@Yoga817 10 weeks tomorrow, my symptoms are super high at the min. I took the day off work today I felt so bad and had a 4hr nap! How are your symptoms doing now, still feeling the struggle xxx

Yoga817 · 24/01/2023 21:24

@SPR40 oh no sorry you're suffering. Yes still suffering. The Gp finally gave me some medication that I collect tomorrow so looking forward to that. When is your next appointment?

@Happyface82 Thank you! Hope you are doing well?

Rtmhwales · 24/01/2023 21:28

@Yoga817 congratulations! Please keep in regular touch on here, I'm dying to know how they progress.

@SPR40 have they gave you medication for your symptoms? Which are the worse?

I've had another huge bleed with clots and cramping today. Clinic has bumped up my scan to tomorrow (8W6D) to check for miscarriage or bleeding. Not holding my breath but it worked out last time so who knows.

Anybody else close to graduating from their clinic?

Yoga817 · 24/01/2023 21:34

@Rtmhwales I had clotting and very bright red blood (lots of it) 5-7 weeks and somehow everything is fine. It goes against our instinct but somehow at each scan the babies were growing. I still get very light spotting now but because my nausea and vomiting is so bad it helps to reassure that everything is ok. Keeping you in my thoughts for your next scan xx

Happyface82 · 24/01/2023 22:03

@Yoga817 I'm ok thank you. My mornings are good, it's afternoons and evenings that are the worst. Lots of nausea and migraines!! And my scan on Feb 14th seems ages away.

Happyface82 · 24/01/2023 22:04

@Rtmhwales Hoping all goes well tomorrow. Will be thinking of you. Always nerve wracking when going in for -a scan but I'm sure all will be fine.

Rtmhwales · 25/01/2023 01:11

@Happyface82 can they give you meds for it? My nausea was relentless - vomiting sixteen times one day. I'm now on a medication that takes away 90% of my nausea and all vomiting. I stopped one pill yesterday to see if it made a difference and coughed and vomited immediately so it definitely does. It's been a life saver lately.

Happyface82 · 25/01/2023 07:11

@Rtmhwales I'm quite lucky. I feel nauseous but I'm never actually sick. It's the migraines that are more difficult. But on the other side it gives me comfort that things are progressing.

Yoga817 · 25/01/2023 10:20

@Happyface82 @Rtmhwales I feel your pain. I have had horrendous vomiting and finally getting some medication today (Xonvea) only 10 days worth though so I'll have to stay on top of GP prescriptions. I really hope it works.

runningismytherapy · 25/01/2023 18:17

Saying hi 👋 and big congrats for all the BFP’s (and so many twins 🥰🤩)

ive been lurking!! ICSI & fresh transfer Jan this year, BFP 20th. Not sure I really believe it at the mo, previous chemical so have that in the back of my mind. Plus symptoms I did have (SUPER sore boobs - thought it was the progesterone) seem to have disappeared. Viability scan on the 4th so will wait and see! X

Happyface82 · 25/01/2023 18:39

@runningismytherapy massive congratulations!!! Really hoping this is it for you!! I bet you can't wait for next week!!! Keep us posted!

Rtmhwales · 25/01/2023 21:51

@runningismytherapy my symptoms were nonexistent for ages (I think 6 weeks?) and then have come and gone since then daily. I wouldn't put too much thought into the symptoms. I've been less sick and less symptoms this pregnancy versus DS and I'm pregnant with twins currently.

Happyface82 · 03/02/2023 07:03

How is everyone doing?

SPR40 · 03/02/2023 08:55

@Happyface82 👋 hey, how are you?

I am well, just had NIPT results back all low risk Yay! Waiting for 12 week scan, fighting the goog fight against exhaustion and nausea (and still losing). I have had private scans every 2 weeks which has been lovely and just on countdown to the magical 2nd trimester I keep hearing about lol.

I didn't have an official graduation from my clinic they kinda just ordered my last meds and was like see ya then lol Feels so strange not to have spoken to the consultant at all 🙃

Hope everyone is well xxx

@runningismytherapy welcome and congratulations 🎊 only 1 more sleep to your scan.

Happyface82 · 03/02/2023 09:05

@SPR40 oh no! That doesn't give me much hope for my nausea and exhaustion. Haha But hopefully you should feel better soon!! Yay for low risk results! Always such a relief.

I have restrained and didn't do another scan, which worries me haha. I'm 9+2 now and have my next scan in 10 days. I can not wait!! Have a little tiny bloat/bump already, which is cute. Just struggling in the afternoons/evenings with nausea and tiredness.

SPR40 · 03/02/2023 09:13

@Happyface82 10 days will fly by and it will be so lovely for you at 10+5.

I have been 6+6, then 8+3 and 10+3 and the amount of change in that time has been unbelievable. At the 8+3 there were tiny wiggles and the 10+3 they were bouncing around and turning over....I was so shocked!

Awww yay on tiny bump I've been trying to convince hubbi I have a little bump but he assures me it looks like that every January after Christmas feasting 🤣

Happyface82 · 03/02/2023 10:13

@SPR40 that made me laugh about the bump!!! Hahahaha Too funny!! I've started using stretch mark creams already - it won't be long I think till we have a proper bump to show!

RoseLlo · 14/02/2023 14:27

How's everyone doing this week? Hope you're all well ☺️

Happyface82 · 14/02/2023 20:38

I'm not great. Had our scan today at 10+4 and one of the twins had stopped growing at 8 weeks. I'm heartbroken. I'm meant to be going in next week for my 12 week scan and a CVS to make sure the other one is ok. Really worried about the procedure.

RoseLlo · 15/02/2023 13:56

@Happyface82 I'm so sorry to hear about one of the twins 😔 You must be devastated. He or she was so loved for that short time. It's understandable that you're nervous about next week. It must feel so overwhelming. Are you able to have a chat through it all with your midwife before you go, once you've had a few days to process this a little? Sending you a big hug and I hope you're taking lots of time to look after yourself xx

SH998 · 15/02/2023 14:00

Hi Ladies, your thoughts and advise if possible please - feel free to be honest, I can handle it lol :)
This is my second IVF attempt (last attempted ended in an 8 week miscarriage and a failed FET), today is day 9 of my cycle, day 8 of meds and also my first scan day. Results were 8 follicles measuring between 10 and 18, with a further 2 showing under 10. Measurements were:
2 at 18
1 at 15
1 at 13
1 at 12
1 at 11
2 at 10
A further 2 under 10.
At this stage on my last cycle I was showing approx. 14 follicles but I'm pretty sure they weren't as mature as they are now at this stage. I have another scan on Friday but I have that feeling the cycle will be cancelled (the nurse was lovely but didn't seem that optimistic although she didn't say as much). She did say my last count was better and that there is still time for the smaller ones to catch up.
I expected my body to react pretty much the same as last time but it hasn't so now I'm frantically googling all sorts (this is something I promised myself I wouldn't do this time around) :(
Any thoughts or experiences regarding day size/quantities?

SPR40 · 15/02/2023 17:22

@Happyface82 I am so sorry to hear your news. I am sending you lots of love hugs and strength. I hope you are ok and that your appointment goes ok next week. Ask your midwife or specialist any and all the questions so you know what to expect. Heartbroken with you 💔 Sending you lots of love ❤️

Fanny81 · 15/02/2023 22:16

@Happyface82 I’ve been lurking on here. And been so happy for all you ladies. I was one of the first to have a failed cycle back in December.

im so sorry you are going through this. Just wanted to pop up and say I’ve had a cvs on my pregnancy last summer. It was honestly fine.. the thought of it is worse than it actually is. They are highly skilled at it and mine didn’t hurt. The emotional bit of it isn’t easy of course but it’s over quickly.

also just to ask- for what reason have they recommended that you have this?
