IVF cycle November 2022

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

@Hopewishprayer that's good though that they said not to worry. Hopefully you're over the worst of it. Plenty rest and water and sure you're on the mend xx

@Foreverhoping33 amazing! Super chuffed for you! That's great news. I don't have any tips but the hot water bottle one sounds good, and i feel like people have talked about pineapples and Brazil nuts, but not sure if that's for lining or what?! Xx

I had to do a pregnancy test today to make sure I'm all clear after the surgery - it's the first time I've ever been pleased to see a negative result! So that was weird. But also good. Clean slate and all that.

Thanks ladies, was so nice to have OH there with me today. Likely we'll trigger tonight for collection Wednesday! Just have to wait for my bloods to come back and the nurse to call 🙏🏻 we spoke about a transfer and it's good cos it's kinda out of our hands - lining is 6.6mm today so if it's at 7mm by collection we'll do a transfer and if not that's ok, we'll wait! The Dr was happy with us doing this and understood our want to transfer. Over a year of IVF we are desperate to get to that point finally! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@LF82 thank you lovely! What will be will be, if lining is fine then we'll do it and if it's not quite there then it's not really up to us and down to my body, which I prefer haha. We will see on day of collection then make a plan from there. I hope your scan went well. Completely understand the nerves! Xx

@countrypunk oh I'm sorry you had to do a test 😞 but I am glad to hear that you're ok and it's a clean slate for you. I hope you've had a nice weekend and are doing some nice things before the next steps xxx

@Jx3303 scan went ok, booked in for egg collection on Wednesday but need to wait for my blood test results to come in this afternoon before they confirm! Hoping it all goes to plan x

@LF82 that's great news! Hope you are feeling ok about it! I'm waiting for my nurses call too! We have a provisional time of 8.30am Wednesday. Oh I went to Gail's on Saturday to treat myself for lunch whilst I waited for OH to arrive - it was lovely! Highly recommend xx

@Jx3303 a little nervous but ok! Am not in until 10.30. Am definitely going to get my husband to get me some treats from Gail’s for afterwards! X

Hi all, glad to hear your scans went well @Jx3303 and @LF82 and you have your collections booked in. Will keep fingers crossed for lining and bloods!

my lining has still not increased much and still at 5.6mm. Feeling down and annoyed as this lining is even thinner than last month when I wasn’t on any injections. No idea what is going on with my body!

Getting a call later today from doctors to talk through next steps. Think I will be asked to trigger to get rid of all follicles built up but I assume they will recommend cancellation of transfer.

im currently on nhs so not paying but contemplating asking to pay for an egg collection (seeing as I have done all the injections now) and then with hopefully a few more embryos we could risk transferring one this month. (We currently have 2 in the freezer which feels too low to risk one of my lining isn’t thick enough).

this way I would at least give myself a chance this month which I think would be good for me and also hopefully get more embryos for future cycles. However one thing I definitely want to avoid is another miscarriage. Any advice on what you guys would do in this situation would be much appreciated!

(FYI I have not spoken to doctors yet so don’t actually know if the above is possible)

Baseline scan went well, lining is good and so is follicles, so I have follow up appointment 18/4 but I’m not worrying about that. Weight was just in the limit but was told to maintain and try and loss bit more. Having cycle with ABC has I am straight forward case the nurse said. It was same Nurse that did my scan for NHS so she put me at ease. With ABC the nurse led the treatment rather than specialist which is nice has the clinic I have my scans is small and personal , told my other one failed due to bad egg quality they think, has they only got one good one out of 6. But she said this time it could be different so for me not to worry about it, she said the one I had was really good, even though it failed so looks like they will try to same meds has last time. So taking that has positive

@LF82 enjoy the day of no meds tomorrow! I had to do another Cetrotide at 4pm and trigger is at 8.30pm. Glad it's not later as I'd struggle to stay awake 😂 yes I definitely want a cake from their after collection!

@Foreverhoping33 I'm so sorry that your lining wasn't as you'd hoped today 😞 have you since had a call with the Dr? I really hope they haven't had to cancel completely, and as you say either do an egg collection or maybe add some more meds and wait another few days!

@Crystal88 that's great your baseline scan went well and you have your follow up and plan! Sounds like you've got a good plan going forward and it's nice to be small and personal isn't it. My first round at create I felt like I seen different people every time but this cycle I've seen the same faces each time which is nice. Xx

Hi @Crystal88 so glad your scan went well and you felt at ease! I think it’s so important to feel comfortable as it’s so personal and can be a heartbreaking journey.

finally spoke to the doctors can’t do a transfer as my progesterone is too high (and lining terrible) but have decided to do an egg collection (paying) but clinic have said that I wouldn’t have to reimburse them for the medication and I could still have my fet on the nhs at a later stage. Feeling bit more positive that it’s not all wasted. Triggering tonight for egg collection at 8.30am on Wednesday. xxx

@Foreverhoping33 that's great news, I'm really glad you're able to go for collection and all is not lost. It's so disappointing when things don't go as planned so it's good to have an alternative outcome ❤️ and really good they aren't charging for meds next time. We are in for collection at the same time! I have 2 follicles at the size required, will aim for 2 and maybe get 3 🤞🏻 last time I hoped for 3 and got 4 - which is great for me given I don't start with many follicles and my terrible outcomes of 1 egg / no eggs my 2 NHS cycles! Xx

@Jx3303 thanks lovely! Yer agreed it’s when things aren’t going to the plan that I do not cope so well, and I’m sure it’s the same with you when they say to wait another month it feels like eternity.
I actually have no idea how many follicles I have or anything as I haven’t really been focussed on it but they have said they are looking very good so will keep my fingers crossed. last time we got 3 embryos so something similar would be amazing.

@Foreverhoping33 absolutely! The waiting is what I find the hardest, especially when things don't work out the way we'd hoped, and I don't cope well during those times either. Amazing, we also have 3 so I would be absolutely over the moon to even add 1 more to that, I'd love 2. Fingers crossed for all of us! Happy med free day tomorrow ❤️

@Jx3303 just done my trigger too. Am so looking forward to an infection free day tomorrow! Hope you are too! Have found today hard to be honest - too many needles and what ifs for my brain to cope

@Foreverhoping33 I'm sorry your lining didn't do its thing, but it's great you can still make the most of this cycle despite that. How bloody frustrating though.

@Crystal88 It's definitely good to try and get your head around the fact that each cycle will be different. So if you had a bad one last time, that doesn't mean the next one will be the same. That's what I'm trying to think too rather than 'aaaarghh all my eggs are shit' xx
