IVF cycle November 2022

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

@Jx3303 oh great news you have been given the go ahead to start your next cycle!!

my period started yesterday and attempting to do another transfer this month with meds now to try and help my lining. Start injections tonight.

@LF82 hopefully your period starts soon too! And then we can all support each other through the tww and hopefully beyond! Xxxx

Foreverhoping33 · 23/03/2023 12:52

@Hopewishprayer i will keep all my fingers crossed for Saturday for you. Try to keep the positivity up and not focus on symptoms (easier said than done) as we are all different and all have different symptoms.
my sisters first pregnancy symptom was feeling very bloated so keep the hope! Xxxx

countrypunk · 23/03/2023 13:39

@Jx3303 I actually spoke with this clinic a few weeks ago and the doctor who took my call was absolutely lovely. We've got our consultation on 6 April. It's weird - last week I couldn't stand the thought of another round but today I just want to get going again. Xx

Jx3303 · 23/03/2023 14:51

@Hopewishprayer thank you! Yes feels good to finally be moving forward again after the last 2 months! It feels longer! Not long til OTD! Sending all the luck and love for Saturday, I will be thinking of you xx

@Foreverhoping33 thats great news you are starting meds for your FET! What is your protocol for this cycle? Sending all the luck xx

@countrypunk really glad to hear that you liked the Dr on the call, a good feeling at the start is always a positive! Not long until your consultation. Is it an in person/baseline sort of consultation? Completely understand that, some days we need a break and others its like lets go! Totally get that, I am the same. I really hope that your consultation goes well xx

countrypunk · 23/03/2023 18:37

@Jx3303 It's a zoom one and the consultation alone is costing us 240 quid! We've got to send all our history in advance and I have a very long list of questions - I'm determined to get our money's worth. These clinics must make an absolute fortune. To state the obvious.
Xx

LF82 · 23/03/2023 18:42

@Foreverhoping33 started spotting today so it’s in its way. We are doing a freeze all cycle so no TWW for me this time. Will definitely have my fingers crossed for you! I am actually going to ask if they can check my progesterone levels this round to make sure I don’t need anything more than the pressaries when I do have a transfer

@countrypunk so pleased you have got a good vibe from the potential new clinic and definitely make sure you get all your questions asked and answered

@Hopewishprayer got my fingers crossed for you

Hopewishprayer · 23/03/2023 19:47

@LF82 @Jx3303 @Foreverhoping33 thank you all so much!!! This weirdly has been the quickest 2WW ever!
@countrypunk wont be long until your consultation - absolutely make sure you get all your questions asked it’s so expensive but will be worth it all in the end xx

Jx3303 · 23/03/2023 19:55

@countrypunk it's crazy isn't it! And sometimes people have to do multiple consultations with different clinics. Our consultation with create which was a zoom call and an in-depth ultrasound scan cost £350 - they ranged from £200 to £400 I think but it was only the last minute ones that were cheaper. Definitely ask as many questions as you can think of and hopefully you get a good feel after the call xx

Cat89 · 23/03/2023 22:26

Lovely to see that most of you are ready to get going again. Hope those who've had a break are feeling re-charged and excited to try again!

@Hopewishprayer eek not long to go. I have everything crossed for you!! 🤞

My Week 20 scan is on Monday. I've been very lucky and have had an easy pregnancy so far tbh! I've noticed that I get anxious whenever scans are coming up and have started fearing something bad will happen again, I think that's a sad reality of past experiences still holding it's grip on me urgh. Will let you all know if it goes ok! On another note, I was at aquanatal tonight where a lady there said she'd tried for years and her current pregnancy was IVF Round 5. Previous to this success she didn't have great experiences: a pattern of low egg count retrievals and never any to freeze, her AMH was around 2.

I was delighted for her as clearly she'd been through a very tough time, but just goes to show don't give up hope! Xx

Crystal88 · 24/03/2023 07:35

@Hopewishprayer i am crossing my fingers for you tomorrow

@countrypunk im so glad you have something to look forward too

@Jx3303 hows everything with you

@Cat89 thats gone so quick

update on me i have booked my baseline scan for 3rd April this morning , and then hopefully start again end may, so after holiday, if everything is ok. i have something to look forward to and then holiday to relax me before i start. Cant believe it been 4 months since my last one failed xx

countrypunk · 24/03/2023 09:37

@Jx3303 Yes I think we're gonna do a consultation with Create too. Don't want to put all my eggs in one basket just yet, so to speak! And theirs does sound very in depth.

@LF82 💛🧡

@Hopewishprayer Yes there's a really good thread on here that's helped me come up with all the questions we need answering!

@Cat89 Good luck with your scan! Totally understandable that you're nervous given past experiences. We're all a bit scarred I think. It was lovely to read about the woman at your aquanatal class. There is hope for all of us! Xx

@Crystal88 Brilliant that you've got your scan in the diary, and a holiday to look forward to before you start treatment. I'm copying you x

Hopewishprayer · 24/03/2023 18:24

Hey girls, I am sharing this with great sensitivity. I done a test this evening and I can’t believe it, it’s positive!!!
I had convinced myself until 2 days ago it had worked and last 48 hours I’ve been really worried about it because I’ve no soreness or fullness in my breasts - just shows you they symptoms or lack of them don’t matter.
After 4 failed rounds with OE including one MM at 8 weeks we are so cautious but hopefully this is the one ❤️

LF82 · 24/03/2023 18:44

@Hopewishprayer absolutely delighted for you! Congratulations x

countrypunk · 24/03/2023 19:30

Oh @Hopewishprayer that's fantastic news! Absolutely delighted for you 🎉🎊🥳♥️

countrypunk · 24/03/2023 19:30

Oops didn't mean to repeat what @LF82 said 😆

Crystal88 · 24/03/2023 21:02

@Hopewishprayer that’s brilliant news I am so pleased for you xx

Foreverhoping33 · 24/03/2023 21:31

@Hopewishprayer this is the best news!!! Massive congratulations!!! So so so pleased for you!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hopewishprayer · 24/03/2023 21:32

Thank you so much, I can’t believe it. Keeping so guarded on it because we have been here before but one day at a time 🙏 x

Jx3303 · 25/03/2023 09:41

@Hopewishprayer such lovely news! Congratulations I am so very pleased for you ❤️ how are you feeling?

Never a dull moment, after expecting AF next week it's come today! So I have my day5 scan booked in for Wednesday and booked a train to Manchester for Tuesday! Same notice I'd have had next week I just didn't think it would be a week early! Less time to stress I suppose 😂

How is everyone? Did your AF start properly @LF82 ?

@countrypunk I enjoyed your egg pun 😂 a good idea to have another clinic in mind if you aren't keen on the first.

LF82 · 25/03/2023 10:28

@Jx3303 oh that’s amazing it came early! Mine finally came yesterday too! Also got my day 5 scan on Wednesday! X

Jx3303 · 25/03/2023 12:05

@LF82 ah fab! We're cycle buddies 😊 that's so funny we've got a scan same day! Mine is at 10am, now just trying to sort accommodation! I've messaged the lady from last time in the hope I can stay with her a few days myself, If not there's a wee hotel in wilmslow I was going to stay last time so have emailed them too! Xx

LF82 · 26/03/2023 10:47

@Jx3303 hope you have got your accommodation sorted! My appt is at8.30. Just trying to stay calm & relaxed now x

Cat89 · 27/03/2023 10:14

@Hopewishprayer aww that's the best news!!! So happy for you 🥳🥳. You must be delighted! Is it just 2 weeks now until the Week 6 scan? I say "just", knowing full well this will feel as long as the initial 2ww! Fingers crossed this is the one! 🤞

Sounds like many people here are about to start the next cycle. Let's hope for a sweep of succeses 🤞❤️.

Just had my Wk20 scan this morning and everything was normal 😊. Can't believe we've got to this point, the sonographer was actually the lady who saw me in the EPU twice previously with not so great news to deliver, so that was lovely for her to see me back in happier times. Xx

Jx3303 · 27/03/2023 10:21

@LF82 how did you get on with your first jab? I did mine myself in preparation for going away tomorrow, I managed but wow I get so nervous I'm doing it wrong! My first two cycles it wasn't the "pen" thing and last time my OH did them all, so just getting used to it. Accommodation all sorted and I'm getting there with packing and getting organised!

@Cat89 Aw that's such great news 💕 I hope it was nice to see baby! And how lovely it was the same sonographer, I'm sure she was overjoyed for you 😊

How is everyone else getting on? Xx

Hopewishprayer · 27/03/2023 12:19

@Cat89 thank you 😊 can’t quite believe it - although weirdly I have nausea already! 🙈thought it would be far too early for that!
I will go for a scan closer to 8 weeks is what my clinic recommend so booked in for 3 weeks on wed.
fantastic all went well at your scan, must be a huge relief! Hopefully you can relax and enjoy last few months of your pregnancy x
