IVF cycle November 2022

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

@Jx3303 I will admit my husband has continued to do it as i just can’t! I should really try again though. Glad yours went well and your accommodation is sorted!

@Hopewishprayer I hope the next few weeks fly by for you! Oh wow sickness already! I hope that passes soon! Take care of yourself xx

@LF82 oh believe me it's not out of choice! I'd way rather rather my OH was doing them again 😂 I just need to get on with it though and try to relax and not flap. Hopefully I'm less nervous tonight and then will be fine for the next few. Did you have many symptoms last time? Xx

@Jx3303 i can’t even watch him do them 🙈
I was tired and had some bloating but nothing else thankfully. My first scan is day 5 and last time my first scan was day 6 so trying to tell myself in advance not to stress if it’s not looking like it did on day 6 a day earlier this time round. Also not telling work anything so just trying to sneak out for my appointments!

@LF82 hope all goes well on wed with your scan. I had to get DH to inject me too,I am taking blood thinners now every day and can’t brig myself to do it - I managed when I was stimming previously but think I’m just fed up with injections so can’t bear to do them myself 🙈

@Hopewishprayer thank you! I don’t blame you getting your DH to do those injections for you! Hope everything else is going well x

I feel murderous this morning - family friend phoned my partner this morning to tell him that his daughter (partner's friend) is pregnant. He knows what we've been through and the news was not delivered tactfully. I want to go and burn his house down.

With some people it really hits harder than others doesn't it? I'm very childishly and selfishly thinking how come she gets a baby and I don't.

Hope everyone else is feeling more positive than me!

@countrypunk thank you 🤞 Honestly I completely understand how you feel… I think like that pretty much every day! Especially when people are announcing 2nd or 3rd pregnancies and we still have had one. You have every right to feel angry, annoyed & upset. Sending love x

@LF82 fab news! Really glad to hear it went well. My scan also went fine, I felt like I was away to pass out with nerves waiting and almost burst into tears when I went into the scan room. It was the same Dr as I had last time when it got cancelled. 6 follicles this time and she was much happier with that. Thankfully she put my mind at ease during it, saying it was better and compared to last time much more clicking and measuring. I have another scan Friday too and I really hope they continue to grow 🤞🏻 and then my OH can come down and join me! I add cetrotide in tomorrow AM. Xx

I know, I think the mistake is expecting people who haven't been through infertility to understand, when they just can't. Xx

Thanks so much ladies ❤️ I have my fingers crossed for you too @LF82 it's so nerve wracking isn't it! It doesn't get easier! I had a nice walk back and it's my birthday tomorrow 😂 so at least I can relax for now until my next scan, although I'm working xx

@countrypunk it's super hard, just a little sensitivity if they don't understand is better than nothing isn't it. Sadly a lot of people don't even have that xx

@countrypunk thank you 😊 bit of a different birthday but I don't really like celebrating the day anyway (not the last few years) and it's the big 3-5 this year! I'm working (from "home") but have a few meetings so I won't be lonely I'm sure! Xx

@Jx3303 and @LF82 so pleased to hear your scans are going well! My next scan is on Friday as well! I am very hopeful they will tell me to do the trigger then as on Monday my lining was at 5mm already so only 2 more to go (i am not doing egg collection so follicles dont matter so much). So think we have aligned quite a lot which is nice :)!

also @Jx3303 happy birthday for tomorrow!! i'm glad to hear you can relax a bit and hopefully enjoy the day!

@countrypunk oh I am so sorry to hear about your friend and how they told you their news. So unthoughtful!! It is sad but i think people who havent struggled with infertility really dont get it and can say the most hurtful things when they dont even realise. Sending you lots of love xxxxx

@Jx3303 I don't like celebrating my bday either! It always makes me feel weirdly depressed. I hope that isn't the case for you tomorrow and that you have a lovely day involving some sort of delicious treat. You deserve it.

@countrypunk I am the same! I spent two birthdays in lockdown and then last year was right after our first failed cycle, and with Mother's Day right before it I'm always like ugh let's just skip past it please! So I have a good excuse this year for no celebrating since I'm away haha. The lovely nurse today wished me happy birthday today. And yes you can always vent here, we understand ❤️ how are you feeling about your upcoming consultation? Xx

@LF82 thank you ❤️ oh yeah I did notice that today! I just walked straight back after my appointment as had work to get done, but I'll maybe have more of a wander Friday as my appointment is a bit later on and I could use my lunch hour.

@Jx3303 I've just had to postpone it actually because DP is away with work, so now it's 19 April. And then we go on holiday for a week a few days later. Cannot WAIT. Haemorrhaging money right now but... I don't care.

Feeling OK about it! I have high hopes for this clinic. Maybe that's a mistake... just trying to feel positive about things despite all the shit.

How are you feeling just now? Is the plan a transfer after this cycle? So exciting. I have every appendage crossed for you! Xx

@Jx3303 I am going to send my husband in to get me a treat after egg collection (fingers crossed we get to that stage) I am about 45 mins away in traffic. We got there early today and was lucky they saw us early so was back home for 9.15 and wasn’t missed! Hoping for the same on Friday!

@LF82 that's a good idea! I may do the same! Ah that's great! The earlier the apps the less chance of a wait isn't it! It was pretty busy when I was there at 10am today! But I actually got taken pretty much on time. It's only about a half hour walk and I was delighted to see 2 squirrels on the road ay back and a lovely little dog - I am missing my furries 🐱 🐶 and OH of course haha.

@countrypunk oh I'm sorry you had to postpone but that's great you've got your holiday right after. I am so glad we had our holiday before we went private, and just tried not to think about money. I guess it's true what they say, more can be earnt and you need to look after your health and well-being first x

It's good to have high hopes about the clinic! I really hope you like them and get a good feeling!

I am feeling ok, taking each day as it comes. I tend to get over one thing then stress about another though! Yes, I briefly mentioned it today to the Dr. It's meant to be transfer after 3 cycles but given how far away we are and that we got 3 first cycle we're keen to just try. We'd not cancel cycle 3 or anything, it would just mean that if we needed another transfer it's then an added cost - which we knew but the Dr just wanted to make sure. We will see how it goes. If they advise we do all 3 first then I'm not super against that. I just would really like collections done! Xx

i have my baseline scan on Monday and then 18th I have my consultation, then go away end April so hoping to start my IVF end May. I wanted to get my scan and action plan before holiday and then I have all the plans in place when AF comes along in May just incase it comes early, even though I am usually regular
just hoping my bmi is ok, I keep going hoovering around 30 mark 😖 and that my scan looks ok
