IVF cycle November 2022

Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

@countrypunk I am so glad you were well looked after. Was your OH able to be here or did he have to go away with work? I'm really glad you've some time signed off work too, rest and look after yourself. You've been through a lot xxx

@Foreverhoping33 welcome to the world your new nephew 💙 it sounds like you are handling it well, I am sure your sister is being super gentle with you and understanding. Enjoy all of the cuddles. I hope AF arrives on time for you this week and you can get organised for your FET x

@Jx3303 hello! I am ok just impatiently waiting for AF to start. Not sure how the last round will impact my cycle to be honest. How are you? Have you had the doctors appt yet re your results from last week? X

@LF82 hate the waiting! For me the cycle after IVF was a little longer but just a day or two, but my cycles were always pretty short before. I have a call with the consultant tomorrow 🤞🏻 I had one of those days yesterday where I just cried for no real reason. My step daughter sent a Mother's Day card which came yesterday morning, I was fine sunday but we kept ourselves busy so that was probably why! How are you feeling? Xx

@Jx3303 i usually have a short cycle too 26 days usually - I was predicted on my app AF to start on Sunday but no sign yet. Had a few twinges at the weekend but not much of the cramps I usually get yet. Wish it would hurry up! Mother’s Day is so hard isn’t it, I found social media a bit upsetting so just tried to ignore it. Sometimes the tears are good though as it just gets it out. Hope you looked after yourself yesterday. Got my fingers crossed for your appointment tomorrow x

@LF82 yeah mine were always around 26 days but then on the months you want it to hurry up - it's longer, of course ha! Last month mine was 35 days so I really hope it's back to normal this month - my app is saying 1st April at the moment. Yeah I try and avoid social media on days like that! My OH could tell I was down in the dumps and looked after me ❤️ I'm so quiet at work just now too, the days are going slow! I'd like to be busy right now and quieter in a few weeks! Thank you - I'm hoping we get the go-ahead but can never be certain. How are you feeling about cycle 2? X

@Jx3303 being busy helps doesn’t it! I a
a little anxious about cycle 2 - mainly as I know things can not go to plan. Last cycle I was nervous as I didn’t know what to expect and this time I think I am nervous as I do! I would ideally like a few more embryos to freeze but know it’s not that simple. How are you feeling? X

@LF82 yeah I'd way rather be busier right now to take my mind off things! I know, I really felt like I had the rug ripped from under my feet when the second cycle didn't go to plan 😞 I know things don't always go well given my first 2 cycles but after a good first one it was a shock! I hope that your second goes smoothly and you get some more frosties safely in the freezer ❄️ did they freeze one on day 3 for you? I honestly cried with SO much relief that day just to know one was in there safe. I didn't expect all 3 to make it to the freezer. I'm nervous too, desperate to just get going again! Xx

@Jx3303 it all just messes with our minds doesn’t it! I had 2 frozen day 5 and one on day 6. I have my fingers firmly crossed for us both that we will have a successful next round x

@LF82 yeah it's for sure a rollercoaster! I spoke with my counsellor last week and I really hope next month I've got a good update for her! I'm just nervous for tomorrow - I don't know if I didn't have the call booked that I'd have had to make one or if the Dr thought oh may as well keep it. I'll be upset if they then ask me to get more tests and things when it's getting close to AF xx

@Jx3303 hopefully the call will just be to reassure you that everything looks like they would expect now. Especially as your results have come back well. Let me know how you get on x

update on me

like all of you mothers day was hard, but i tried to not let it get to me, me and OH took both our mom out for lunch. plus OH brought me flowers, teddy and card off the Cat. I said next year hopefully it will be from the bump. trying to stay positive.

strange question but has anyone had issues with their pelvic floor since IVF, especially when waiting for AF. i am due on friday and i have to run for wee lol

couple more days and i can hopefully book my baseline scan in April, stressing about being the right BMI, the last cycle was nhs and i was slightly over the limit but still managed it. this time i am going with ABC, create sister company, its same facility i believe but more nurse led than doctor led. people have said they are strict and you need to be BMI 30, im currently at 30 dead

Finally got the go-ahead for next cycle 👏🏻 very happy and trying to put the last two months behind me, and think positive for the next. Thank you ladies for all of the support during the wait and ups and downs ❤️

@Crystal88 how lovely you got some gifts from the kitty 🐱 Mother's Day is hard isn't it, sounds like your OH took lovely care of you.

I am trying to stop any more weight piling on, it's so hard when you're body is full of hormones and I am terrible for comfort eating at all the in between stages. I'm not sure about how strict abc would be but I'd hope they'd be happy you're at 30. Xx

OH's work let him off the trip in the end which was fantastic. His work trips are all-consuming so if he had gone away he wouldn't have been able to be in contact much. So it all worked out for the best. Xx

@Jx3303 no actual sign of AF yet but have some mild twinges so hoping it’s coming. The app said I was due Sunday so definitely late now compared to my normal cycle length. The wait is driving me mad! Remind me when is AF due for you?

@countrypunk I know how that feels, after our 2 NHS cycles we took the break as we had a holiday booked but I struggled a bit with not knowing what was next / having a plan. That's great you've a consultation booked, I hope you like them. In my experience private are quite quick - my clinic anyway, and it's all super fast compared with NHS. Xx

@LF82 how annoying! It's always the same when you want it to show up isn't it! Hopefully it will come soon! I dreamt mine came last night and I was down in England but my meds were up here, all very strange haha. My app is saying a week on Saturday! I'm hoping it comes a little earlier but who knows! I had a quick look at Airbnb's last night and as it's coming to Easter hols it looks quite expensive so right now I think it's best for me to go down myself for the first half. Just going to wait until AF arrives though to look again and book x

thanks for asking - I am have been feeling good really positive just about convinced myself that this has worked and now today I’ve suddenly started thinking the other way as Nothing is happening with my boobs 🙈 I have extreme bloating and uterus feels heavy but now thinking that’s the meds - I suppose it’s the expected rollercoaster of the 2WW! OTD is sat, I’m so nervous 😬

@Hopewishprayer Oh love, we all know how you feel! It's the craziest rollercoaster of emotions. I had the heavy uterus feeling, the cramps, the feeling like I was just about to start my period... and I was pregnant! So all of those symptoms can be good. It's just impossible to stop going round in circles isn't it. All the very best vibes for you for Saturday. I'll think of you loads! Xx
