Medicated FET what day was your transfer?

Hi everyone,

Embarking on another round of IVF and I’m having a FET next Tuesday. I went for a lining scan on CD8 and it was 6.1mm so returned yesterday CD11 and lining was above 7mm. I’m to start the dreaded progesterone pessaries on Thursday CD14 this week and my transfer is now booked for next Tuesday CD19.

Is this very late for a transfer? I’m getting myself all worried that it’s late and it’s going to impact the result of this cycle but being medicated does it not make a difference? Can anyone put my mind at ease?!

Many thanks!

Good luck with your train after today @flowersinmay 🤞

@lucymills1234 that's a long wait, even a urine test at my clinic is only 11dp5dt. I had zero symptoms on my successful cycle so anything except heavy bleeding is good in my eyes! Thanks for confirming what your clinic does, I’m sure it’s the same for me but I didn’t get told either way so I have emailed to check and they just confirmed as well as booking in my blood test… 🤞

sounds like @EasterBunny7 answered your question @Hopefull1981 my only suggestion was to maybe ask for another scan at the end of this week. The clinics all tend to do everything they can to maximise their success rates so I’m sure they wouldn’t proceed if there wasn’t a chance. When I had my fresh transfer I was told that the embryo was a 3bc which I was really worried about at the time, it didn’t sound great, but they reassured me they didn’t transfer any that didn’t have a chance and DC is perfect 😉

@lucymills1234 thanks for sharing about your lining measurements, just noticed.

Excited for you being PUPO. I didn't have symptoms that early on either but did become pregnant so don't overthink it!

Justhopeful · 29/06/2022 12:18

Hey ladies, hope you are all hanging in there.

@lucymills1234 How are you doing? I am nervous, and surprised I have not tested. I’m 6dp5dt. I think my main reason for not testing is I’m too scared to see a bfn. I really hope with everything that it works out for you this time around.
I just have the cramps constantly, had it since I started progesterone. Also a few times had period cramps, all progesterone symptoms I am sure. I hear the only way to know will be OTD. fingers crossed for us.

@Happycrocodile how are you doing after you transfer?

@Hopefull1981 My last scan lining was at 7mm and had transfer 5 days later without a scan, a bit worried about that now. I was started with 4mg estrogen, but later increased to 6mg. Wishing you the best of luck with your transfer. I will attempt 2 embryos next time, I was advised against it since I had a laparoscopic mynectomy a year ago.

I wish you all good luck.

Hi all! How are you all doing? Great to be reading your updates!

I had my transfer yesterday, it all went smoothly. My lining was around 8mm in the end and they seemed pretty happy with that. I'm trying to be cautiously optimistic, need to try and manifest this baby 😆 but at the same time I don't want to get my hopes up too much as it's so hard to face another bfn!

They gave me another injection to do this morning - think it's some kind of blood thinning one to help the blood flow to the uterus! I have felt nothing so far - but I know it's really early days!

My clinic is shut in august which means if this transfer fails I need to wait until September to try again, part of me is a bit annoyed about having to wait but part of me thinks I need have a break from all the medication anyway.

Sending positive vibes your way! Hope you're all ok! Xox

Hopefull1981 · 30/06/2022 08:56

@flowersinmay The very best of luck to you. I am in Monday afternoon. Fingers crossed this lining doesn't let me down. I have to take Innohep from the date of transfer and if I get a positive test take up to 12 weeks. I have had recurrent miscarriages.

My husband gave me the PIO shot last night and I didn't feel a thing. I am now worries he went into fat not muscle. This anxiety is never ending.

flowersinmay · 30/06/2022 09:43

@Hopefull1981 thank you, you too! I'm really sorry you've had to go through recurrent miscarriages, sounds awful - you are so strong to keep going! Don't give up. My partner also gives me my injections as i don't like doing them myself! I have quite a nice roll of fat he sticks them into on my belly so they don't really hurt. Try not to worry too much im sure the medication is in! Xox

Hopefull1981 · 30/06/2022 10:06

@flowersinmay the nurse yesterday said to stick to bum and lower back and to avoid my stomach… My clinic don't offer blood tests at all, so it's hard to know if I am getting enough. I might try and see if the GP will do one on Monday morning.

I really hope you have a speedy TWW. Have you planned anything to occupy yourself? My husband wants me to take some time of work. That would be a nightmare.. I'd be constantly focused on it.

flowersinmay · 30/06/2022 11:00

@Hopefull1981 aww yes maybe see if you can check at the doctors, hopefully it will put your mind to rest. I have a friend coming to visit next weekend which is around the time of my otd, my partner will be away on a work trip so it will be really weird finding out and he won't be there to support. My friend is going to have to distract me and cheer me up if it's a bfn (she knows I'm doing ivf but I haven't told her I've had a transfer!) I'm working the rest of the time. I agree it's better to try and work and keep distracted. Although my work is actually quite quiet for me at the moment so I'm spending too much time googling about ivf and watching other couples success stories in YouTube. Really bad habit! Hope you've got some nice plans to distract you? I think if the weather is nice it somehow makes it a bit better! Xox

Hopefull1981 · 30/06/2022 11:08

@flowersinmay Oh I have zero patience, I'll be an early tester for sure. Work is crazy too, so that will be a good distraction. I'll visit my dad for a few days that will take my mind off it. He lives 2 mins from a beach, and it would be great if we could get some nice weather.

flowersinmay · 30/06/2022 12:10

@Hopefull1981 that sounds good - does he know you're doing ivf? You're right I don't have any patience either! Will probably be testing from around day 7! Xox

Hopefull1981 · 30/06/2022 13:23

@flowersinmay He does indeed. Practically all my family and friends know.. Oversharing :-) I'll be hounded for updates in the TWW.

Happycrocodile · 30/06/2022 13:54

I’m the opposite @Hopefull1981 absolutely no one knows we have had a transfer, my mum and her partner are coming to stay this weekend and I’ve got to somehow hide that I’m not drinking.

I’m feeling ok, I’ve been finding it hard not to lift anything because the LO still needs putting into the car/ high chair/ cot/ bath etc. the nurse was very insistent I should do no lifting at all but it’s nearly impossible! My older DC (not IVF) has had to try and help whilst OH is at work! They also came and got into bed with me the first night after transfer because they had a bad dream and I ended up falling asleep cuddling them which also sent me into a panic because the other thing the nurse said was no heat, including from people!

I’m trying not to think I’ve already doomed this attempt and maintain zen like status but it’s really hard!!! I guess there’s no way to tell if it’s worked or not at this stage so I’ll try not to worry! (She says worrying)!

Hopefull1981 · 30/06/2022 14:08

@Happycrocodile Awh I have a 3 year old and a dog who are constantly jumping into bed with us. It's so hard to know what’s right or wrong. Keeping everything crossed for you. Funny, my nurse said do everything like you would normally do to not adjust myself daily routine post transfer. I certainly won't be over doing it.

Here's to a speedy TWW.

Justhopeful · 01/07/2022 12:03

Hi ladies, how are you all getting on. I thought to share and spread some hope. I am 8dp5dt and finally decided to test so I could prepare myself for the OTD. I am still in shock and it feels unreal. I have never had a positive test.

Medicated FET what day was your transfer?
EasterBunny7 · 01/07/2022 12:25

@Justhopeful congratulations!!! Amazing news. Really does give me hope. Just had my transfer.

Hopefull1981 · 01/07/2022 13:01

Congrats @Justhopeful. Such strong lines :-). You must be over the moon. I wish you a happy 9 months.

flowersinmay · 01/07/2022 13:34

@Justhopeful omg that's amazing congratulations!!!!!! I'm really happy for you. So good we have some positive news on this little group! How are you feeling?

I had my transfer Wednesday so I've got a while to go before testing. Feeling like it hasn't worked but trying to stay optimistic. No symptoms at all apart from a headache but I think that's the medication.

Sending baby dust to all xox

Gracie2021 · 01/07/2022 14:15

@Justhopeful fantastic news and such strong lines. Congratulations.

@Happycrocodile @Hopefull1981 no luck getting my transfer moved up so it's still on CD28. But I pushed for another lining check this coming Monday which would be 7 days before. Just hoping and praying the lining hasn't thinned and is still triple layer. Still seems bonkers to me but what can you do....

Well done to those who did transfers and are PUPO @flowersinmay @lucymills1234 @EasterBunny7 @Happycrocodile. Hope the TWW is passing quickly for you all.

Good luck on Monday @Hopefull1981

Happycrocodile · 01/07/2022 15:38

@Justhopeful that is wonderful! Congratulations and a stonking strong positive at that!! How many embryos did you transfer?! Wishing you a happy healthy 9 months and beyond xx

Raspberrydelight · 01/07/2022 18:21

@Justhopeful thats amazing news! Congratulations.

I hope you don’t mind if I jump on here. Been TTC for over 5 years diagnosed with unexplained infertility. Started IVF with ICSI 1 year ago. 9 embryos frozen as I got OHSS. We did our first transfer at the end of last year and got BFP but sadly miscarried before 12 weeks. I had transfer number 2 on Tuesday- we decided on 2 embryos this time and our Dr agreed. I’ll be having my Beta HCG test on the 10th but I’m probably going to be too impatient to wait that long this time!

Good luck everyone!

Happycrocodile · 01/07/2022 22:00

Hello again. I created the page above for any IVF baby potentially due for March 2023. Strangely, no such page exists yet?? There's a generic one which includes natural pregnancies but not this.

It probably should've been created by someone who is confirmed pregnant but I think I can handle leaving the group, just like all the others I've had to leave.

...Can you tell that I'm too excited to sleep?!

Justhopeful · 02/07/2022 00:34

Thank you so much ladies. Just overwhelmed and scared as well. Hoping it goes well.

I wish you all the best of luck with your TWW, that we all get good news❤️❤️.

@Happycrocodile thanks I transferred 1, the clinic suggested I transfer 1 and not risk a twin pregnancy since I had a myomectomy a year ago.

EasterBunny7 · 02/07/2022 00:44

@Raspberrydelight congrats on being PUPO! My otd is on the 13th, so just behind you.
